Lili's Alterations, Gainesville FL

Unfortunately I had a pretty terrible experience here. I brought a skirt in to be altered a few months back. I had a specific method I talked to the seamstress about using, she agreed that it was possible and I even bought special materials that matched the skirt perfectly so there would be no issues with color matching. I wanted each side of the skirt to have a ruching detailed so the length could change from midi to maxi (similar to popular silk skirt with side ruching details).
When I picked the item up, I made the mistake of not checking it while I was still in the store. The skirt had been altered on one side but not the other. I was charged for the whole amount but I was so disappointed in the alteration (both in quality and in the fact that half of it was missing) that I don’t even want to bring the item back to get the other side altered.
Unfortunately I won’t be bringing any more items back here.

Lilly’s Alteration was able to get two patches done within a day! I would highly recommend this shop. They did a professional job at a great price!

Fair prices and fairly quick service. Only issue is they don’t call to let you know when your clothes are ready to be picked up

Fantastic, they were on time as promised, created a hood design for my duster coat, that is perfect.

I've been going to Lili for the past 5 years for all my hemming needs! Because I'm short, I get most of my pants, jackets, etc.hemmed to fit my proportions, and I always feel confident that the turnaround time for my items will be minimal and that I'll be extremely pleased. Definitely recommend!

Google makes it VERY easy to set your holiday hours. Driving over to find the place closed on July 3rd was bad enough when their Google listing explicitly says they’re open, but even worse that it says they were open until 1, which, if I had known, I could have come earlier. There are better places (hopefully).

My first time using Lili’s, reviews and proximity led me here. Alterations were gorgeous hence the 5 stars. However, I wish I would have been notified when my dress was ready. It took for me to call only to find out it had been ready for pick-up. Owner I’m sure is very sweet, but not very engaging or seem like she wanted to interact when dropping off or picking up dress.

Best place in town hands down. She knows what she’s doing when it comes to Mens suits. Been going there for 10 years now.

Service is always perfect, have never had an issue with items being completed on time and pricing is good. Have been going to Lili's for over 15 years! Highly recommend

Lili's is the greatest alteration service I have ever been to. I will be using her services for as long as I am in Gainesville and recommending her to anyone who needs her. Fixed a jacket with multiple tears in a matter of days, and left it looking brand new! She's a queen

Very nice and accommodating individuals. Paid a little extra for same day rush service. Overall satisfied with the work done.

They did a good job on my pant alterations, only thing is make sure you plan for a 1-2 week timeframe before they are ready.

The outfit for my baby's first birthday photoshoot was too big. The day was quickly approaching and I was afraid I would have to use binder clips haha Mrs. Lili and her amazing team saved the day for us. They quickly added button holes for a very reasonable price. Such a Gem of a Place! Very kind and caring people. If you need alterations, I highly recommend them.

Great quality serví here! I’ve visited last minute because my usual alteration place was out of ways and I needed my shirt the same day, I know I am asking a lot but they took care of me with a rush fee, I am happy with the service and results. I will definitely come back again.

I’ve gone for Jeans, suits, athletic wear, dresses. She does it all and does it really well, plus she’s super sweet. She’s also affordable enough that I can recommend her to all my college friends and not feel bad!

I have been going to Lili’s for a couple years now on a regular basis, mostly for pant hemming or waist alterations. Their prices are great and they are quick: they usually finish things within a week even if you tell them no rush. The owner is very helpful and obviously knows what she is doing. The staff is pleasant and efficient.

To start off I have used them one other time and they put the wrong color on one of my Christmas gifts but I gave them another chance! I usually don’t give bad reviews; but, what happened to me was totally unacceptable! I took 3 jackets there on Friday 11-11-22 to get embroidered! The guy had me pick out the color, style of font and what name I wanted on each! He said come back Monday they will be ready! He say I didn’t need to call or bring in anything for proof! I knew they were busy so I gave them an extra day and arrived today 11-15-22 to be told that the machine was broken and they were waiting for me to come in to tell me! Boy was I upset because I explained to Lily they could have at least had the decency to call me Saturday when they found out the machine had broken to let me know and I wouldn’t have had to fight traffic to get there before they closed! She just kept saying I was waiting for you to come…. Unprofessionalism and making excuses for your mistakes is a NO NO for me so I will never use them again! I took my jackets and will find somewhere else to take them! She did apologize but I’m done with the company!
