They still have a lot of unavailable sights due to hurricanes, but overall was a pretty good experience - quite, friendly. Right on the river, across from beach to your self; bring bug spray, no-see-'em come out at night!

Gilligan's Island is the best. The people I met were great the rangers were great and when my SS. Minnow was about to go under water a ranger was there to say, you need help? Awesome people.

Terrible because of the air traffic. I can't believe a place located in an area so nice is destroyed by the militaristic people in the area that have no respect for nature. I want to give it one star but the area itself is beautiful.the staff is A+ and it is clean.but you will not be allowed to enjoy it for long.trust me the guys flying the war machines will ruin it. I came here to study, enjoy nature, and do what I do. I will probably be back but it is just one step above the city and not what it should be. The military types should be ashamed. They turn nature into ghetto. It is by a US Marine base and these people are just a nuisance who have no respect for a person's privacy or nature. They play war games here and they don't care about your camping trip. Rude people. It is rare to go longer than 10 minutes without the sound of a buzzing plane. It really need to be raised to the county to have them not fly over the parks but you know the government won't do nothing. Especially when it is this out of hand. The people with power and their minions are sick in the mind. The noise is pretty much 24 / 7.maybe a break in the very early hours of morning but quiet it is not - unless you consider low flying Cessnas and helicopters to be quiet. As soon as you start to enjoy it, along comes another aircraft / jarhead to ruin it.

Great beach, beautiful unspoiled coast line. It's a bit of a walk like most Easter beaches. There are facilities but no shops. Great and beautiful unspoiled FL

$5 entrance fee, but beautiful beach and great for shell hunting! Nice 4 mile hiking trail also. Beach is a bit messed up right now because of hurricane Ian.

Just lovely! $5 to get in per car (they do have a limit for carfulls - I think it's up to 4 or 6 people). Tons of pavilion picnic bench areas and 2 public restroom houses with vending machines and showers. The beach is gorgeous and perfect for shell hunting. Waves were small and beach was fairly shallow, so I would recommend for families with smaller children.

More secludedthan most of the camp spots experienced an obvious alcoholic two old lady couple spots away but pretty much kept to her herself maybe three or four campsites rented in entire campground it did include electric and water on plus side beach was nice across the road I'm thinking I've been to alot of campgrounds this time traveling and the major drawback to this one is the distance you have to travel to get there and to surrounding stores.no wood no ice? Thinking the price should reflect the cost of getting there and traveling to get neccessities

One of our favorite beaches to visit! Located on Heckscher Dr, aka the North Florida Keys, this state park is a great place for a day at the beach. Cost for a day pass is $5. The beach is large with and long walkway from the paved parking lot. Thanks le ty of room even at high tide. Showers and bathrooms with changing areas are included. All are clean and well maintained. Beautiful views on the beach and a gorgeous drive to get there.

Unique-looking beach, not crowded and very photogenic. The sand looks like marble in some places. The beach is very wide and flat. Visited July 2022.

I wish we had more time to spend here. The beach was so beautiful and the water was clear. We had a good time looking for sand dollars and shells. I can't wait to go back!

Had a great time at the beach! Very shallow sandy beach. Tides were pretty calm when we went. Stayed for a few hours and it was perfect! Restroom available. Pets not allowed on the beach, so it was very clean and a calm atmosphere. Coveted picnic areas also available. Will definitely visit again.

Very well-maintained. The office has a lot of taxidermy, lots of informative posters, and plenty of Floridian shells (complete with a legend identifying them), and the staff was so friendly! Elerby was especially helpful with our flat bicycle tire. They offer military discounts on passes, and it’s better to get an annual pass bc you get 13 months for the price of 12.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit! Great clean beaches. There are tons of beautiful seashells, it's not overly crowded. It's $8 to get in on the weekend but well worth it.

Great spot to access the beach. $5 per vehicle entry fee for the day. They have showers to rinse off in. There was the Dune Ridge Trail, unfortunately we didn’t get to do it because we had a 3 year old and wasn’t prepared at the time when we got to it. We did get to walk along the paved section by the road called the East Coast Greenway, that was nice even though we didn’t do the whole thing, and we saw a turtle eating grass. Definitely would go back to do the trail one day.

Beautiful beach that houses a "one stop shop: of beach front, nature, and ample space. If you want pristine, if you want something outside the polluted incorporated beaches, and if you want to experience a fine state park.please set your gps to Little Talbot Island.

Having a day to play here in the Jacksonville area, but not wanting the hustle & bustle of the touristy setting, I decided to visit. I loved it! The beach was clean, with bathrooms just a short walk. Oh my at the shells, they just wash up, and my thought was how fun that would be for a toddler! I really enjoyed myself and glad I chose to go!

Don’t waste your money the only thing you can do at little island is go to the beach and it’s $5 the big island is $3 and can actually access the whole thing.
