Loggerhead Marinelife Center reviews
18Great place to visit and learn about turtles. Would love to go back and bring our friends and children
We went for the jr. Research lab activity and wow what a great day. Between what the kids learned and the facility itself we had an amazing time. We will come again. Glad we found out about this place
This place is probably one of my favorites. They offer FREE admission for the whole family and rely on donations and volunteers. We came during August (so it was hot) but they have a little shop that sold Popsicles (organic ones as well) and drinks. We got to see the rescued Sea turtles including many babies as well. They also had a really cool section (in A/C) with some other fish and jellyfish tanks as well as an interactive screen where you could choose a marine life animal-color/paint it- and cast it onto the screen so your creation can swim around. Later that night I did pay extra to be able to watch a Sea Turtle release. This was only for people 10 years or older. It was well organized and I learned a lot. The staff/volunteers truly enjoy their job and it shows.
I was so excited to see that you have a monthly Sensory Friendly Saturday. We were able to go as a whole family and not stress about how are son would be. Thank you so much.
Took a visting friend who wanted to see Sea Turtles. They did a wonderful job with this Nature Center. Free, donations welcomed.
Absolutely love this place! It is huge! The work that they do for sea turtles is so vital! Lots of room to walk around and the staff is very knowledgeable. I love, love, love the fact that admission is on a donation basis. If I was local- I would be here everyday checking these amazing animals out!
Barry taught us so much about different species of sea turtles! He is so passionate about what he does and the efforts LMC puts into helping endangered wildlife! Please give him recognition for this! He’s wonderful!
Love this place! Such great conservation and education environmental programs and standards! Truly a cool experience - & it is free! Definitely a great place to give donations to since what they do to rehabilitate and teach is phenomenal. The interactive screens are so much fun - especially building your own fish! Did I mention the awesome stuff in the gift shop? Another great stop on your way out.
Very nice and clean marine center. There are plenty of salt water fish in aquariums, a turtle rehab hospital, a gift shop, and more. The best time to visit is during turtle nesting season.
Fantastic place for a family visit! Entrance is free but it was such a quality experience I had to leave a donation! Will be back again.
Went here yesterday and it was great. Staff was very knowledgeable and nice. I read some of the one star reviews and they are pathetic. This facility and all efforts are by donation only. They do not require any admission fees. However, I donated $10 initially when I walked in, but after seeing how much good they are doing to rehabilitate the sea turtles in their tanks, surgery’s and so forth, I donated an additional $20 on my way out. It may not be everybody’s cup of tea to see the turtles, but they are doing good for the ecosystem & that is what it is about. It is not an aquarium, it is to show the public what they are doing. Now to someone like me, who is big on water conservation, I personally find it very interesting. Be respectful.
Whether you’re an adult coming without kids or want to take your kids this is a very great place to spend some time. You will be educated about the sea turtles and you will see all different kinds of them. This is a rehabilitation center where they heal the turtles and then release them back into the wild. I highly recommend coming here and also you can get involved if you want.
I tried to contact loggerhead about an injured sea turtle, I called their number and went through the dial process and through the prompts to call for an injured sea turtle is the last option. But you have to listen to the Dona room request before you get to that point. This place is a money grab and a scam.
On a rainy Day chance of lightning exhorts closed off. What little fun Kids could have with a virtual exhibit being hogged by the same kids for 30 minutes. Smh With the same energy you keep everyone away from inner perimeter regulate that exhibit!
Haven't been since the remodel. Place looks great. I know they need donations to continue their operation, but having the staff at the desk immediately as you walk in with the pressure tactics for donations is a bit of a turn-off.
Nice place to visit with kids. Lots of displays, live experiences and fun area for kids. Located on US Hwh1, near Juno Beach. If ate going towards Juno Beach Ocean Drive you’ll get it on your right before the Ocean Drive traffic signal.
I loved it. Super nice location, cute turtles that hopefully all get fit again thanks to good care and super nice staff that explains a lot.
I have adopted 2 turtles so far for my Great niece in Wisconsin and I teach her all about the great work you all do. The work you do is amazing. I can't wait for the day to bring her down to see all the great work you do.
