Lolis Mexican Cravings reviews
17Good food. BAD SERVICE. CONSISTENTLY. I still come back because I like the food but the service is highly aggravating. Most of the time they get my order wrong. I visit at least once a week. The last time they were playing music with adult words and my daughter was with me. Bad Bunny isn't kid friendly. Thankfully she doesn't understand Spanish. Management needs to get back into this place. Letting a bunch of kids run it will run it to the ground.
20% inflation on taco prices in a few months, WOW! I'm not earning 20% more per hour than I was last year. Guess I'll go to the taco truck where they still cost $2.50, while even that lasts.
This place is so good the strawberry drink is great I just want lolis to promise me that they won't fall off hard like Taco bus keep making great food don't turn to the dark side and may the force be with you always
So I guess giving you the wrong order it’s just something they like to do because I also ordered two chicken tacos and one Carnitas only I got a pork taco and I don’t really know what I want to call the other ones some dry tasteless meat… Worst $10 I’ve spent ever
As always, this is the classic case of a Tampa less-known-but-should-be-more-known-than-some-other-places. The food is authentic and so simple, but full of flavor and color!
Sober or not, recommended for some great tacos!
We love small, authentic places - and this is definitely it. The sopes and talames are fantastic and reasonably priced. I make it a mandatory stop when we are in town!
Don't get me wrong, the flavor of the al pastor and chorizo meat were delicious; however, the tacos barely had meat on them (I got 3). It reminded me of the amount of meat taco bell puts in their tacos, barely any. The tortilla was less than a quarter full. I'm thinking it was because it was a to go order so they don't expect you to check I was really excited to finally try the tacos here because, since I'm new to Tampa, many people recommended this place! I however was the sadly a bit disappointed I'm not expecting it to be completely full but it's ridiculous the little amount of meat that were on those $2.99 tacos. Haven't been back because of that experience, but maybe I'll give it another chance and hopefully have better luck next time.
Please get a new cordless phone. The phone you guys have doesn’t hang up properly and therefor gives a busy signal. It’s been 2 months where that phone is busy and I have to walk in to order. There was several times I tried to call in but due to limited time I couldn’t order. I could imagine how much money was lost please get a new phone. Thank you!
Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Tampa! I had three chicken tacos (added queso fresco) and they were a lot bigger than I anticipated. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Also, I told the lady who was taking my order that I wanted to try an elote for the first time. She offered two options (cup or on the cob), and told me that either option would be worth it. I am SO GLAD I decided to try it. Lolis just gained another happy customer will definitely be returning with my family!
Well, a friend of mine ordered 3 steak and 1 shrimp sope, and their sopes are really good, BUT the lady taking the order from him asked if he wanted chicken? He said NO, 3 steak YET she still had put in chicken apparently, because when we open them at the house, STILL gave us chicken instead of steak. The worst part is when we go back over there (and find out how she STILL input the order wrong with chicken instead of steak) they take all of the food back and make the correct order but she still kept saying chicken. It was horrible customer service and even with the solution I believe they could've and should've handled it far better. Safe to say, as much as I love this place, I will NEVER go back to this location.
Went here yesterday and the food was terrible. Everything was bad; pork was dry and greasy. My tamales were cold. The tortillas were cold and doughy.
Really surprising because this place used to be amazing. Maybe it was just a bad day?
Left two stars because the service was great and the restaurant was clean.
The food was good, the service was fast and friendly and the dining area was very clean. They have a fairly extensive menu.
This place has great Tacos. I mean real tacos. Tamales are wonderful. Don't customize them, let them speak for themselves. Just enjoy the taco in its truest form. I'd suggest just pick one of each and enjoy the amazing life you have.
Food was boring, dry, and over priced. Paid around 6 or 7 dollars for two of the worst tacos Ive ever had. It seems like the only seasoning they know about is salt. As someone who loves salt (maybe a little too much), they need to learn to use other spices, urgently. Beef tasted and felt like rehydrated astronaut food blasted in the microwave for 5 minutes. Their tortillas are either factory-made garbage or the worst attempt at store-made tortillas I've ever tasted. Our table got the tacos, tortas, sopas, and quesadillas and all of it was mediocre. As someone who is from Texas and eats a lot of mexican food, trust me when I say take your business elsewhere. I am very confused as to how this restaurant is rated as well as it is.
Love this place. My favorite thing is the campechano tacos. And horchata. The tortillas are made in front of you, and even the sauces are from scratch. Truly the best. UPDATE! Two yrs later. They expanded too fast. This location lacks enough employees. Tortillas no longer made fresh there. If you go at lunch it's often day old tortillas. I've had 3 orders be wrong if late. No one answers phonem and some days the meat is oversalted. I can't give them 5 stars but they are better than taco bell etc
What’s the point of ordering curbside for a certain time frame, then after 15 minutes of waiting outside you have to come inside and still wait another 20minutes. Then the chick inside looking at me lost when I ask about my order.
Nice place for lunch. I've watch this place grow from a food truck to a really nice restirant. "Great job". Shrimp tacos are really good. Miles.
