Louis Pappas Fresh Greek- University Towncenter, Bradenton reviews
11Been here 4 days in a row. Tried something different the first 3 days, All have been too notch! So dang good. Fresh, fast, tasty. Staff is friendly & welcoming. Might make it 5 days in a row.
I think something was off. I ordered a gyro which was pretty good, but my Greek salad was awful. Took 10 minutes to cut everything up before I could even eat it, and the dressing was at the bottom of the bowl. It was a creamy dressing, not what it typically on a Greek salad, and lacked flavor. I had to ask the gentleman at the counter for utensils. Sadly I can’t return to get a new salad as it was a takeout order. This was my first time here, haven’t decided if I’ll give it another try
We had a lovely lunch at Louis Pappas. Orders are placed at the counter, but food is served to your table. The place itself is very pleasant with an overall grand look for a place with counter service. My wife had the Spanakopita and loved it. She said that the Tzatziki sauce was perhaps the best she's ever had. I tried their steak and cheese sandwich on french roll with au jus (I was in the mood for something less Greek), and again it was a winner.
The restaurant is extremely clean the Gyros is the best in this area and the chips on the side with the tzatziki sauce is outstanding also they have baklava cheesecake and it is excellent the bottom of the cheesecake is like a very light pound cake it is so good try it when you come
The chopped salad is fantastic. We are vegan and gluten-free so we substituted the potato salad for hummus and leave out the cheese and anchovies. We also add an order of falafel and break it apart on top of our salad like croutons. It's wonderful, and believe me when I say it will definitely see two people.
It’s just not that good. Not good Greek food. I love Greek salads but they use iceberg lettuce.
Heavy salted
Service is extremely slow. Took 20 minutes to prepare a gyro and Greek fries. Then it sat on the counter without being told it was ready. Red head Cashier was more interested in listening to her AirPods. Avoid this place.
Ordered a chicken pita, waited 20 minutes to get chicken, 2 slices of tomatoe and Taziki. The taziki was watery and made the pita soggy. Paid over $10 for the sad wrap
Great fresh food. The greek chopped salad is absolutely amazing and always fresh. Thank you for having great prices too.
This place is amazing! We drive 30 minutes just for the chopped salad. They recently started to allow substituting the seafood for chicken were before, it would be an extra charge. I would 100% recommend this place!
Planned on dining in until I got to tue register and when asking a simple "does the Pappas chopped come with potato salad" I had a sign shoved in my face it is 1145 on a Sunday and the cashier was simply horribly rude for no reason I was scared to follow up with no strip or anchovies due to my shellfish allergy. I took my food to go as the environment was the most unwelcoming I had ever been in. I know Sarasota is not home to the most polite people but wow is all I can say. I will not be back no matter how much I occasionally crave their salads.
