Lover's Key Adventures reviews
11Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The kayaks were adequate and the setup was easy. The area where you kayak is pretty serene and there's lots of opportunities to see many different types of wildlife.
My husband and I booked a 4-hour canoe rental at Lovers Key. We were the only canoe on the channel among multiple kayaks and paddle boards. The staff were very helpful at the pavilion. You launch your own canoe/kayak at the boat launch. We saw 8 manatees, 3 dolphins, multiple egrets, cranes, and other birds. We highly recommend you take the time to go all the way to the end of the channel/ the last buoy. It was a great experience and a great price for the rentals, we highly recommend.
We had a delightful time exploring the waterways of Lovers Key by kayak. Stephen Denmark was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide to the flora and fauna (including manatees) of the area. We highly recommend this activity.
First time kayaker, and new to SWFL. We wanted to take our kids for an experience at the park. I am afraid of alligators, spiders and generally would call myself an "indoorsy" person. I contacted Lovers key Adventures - which is the vendor that is set up to rent kayaks, canoes, etc within Lovers Key State Park. We had the best experience - I would highly recommend it - its about $70 for 4 hours for a double kayak. (there's a 4 hour minimum I believe) So, its not as pricey as you might think - and so the per hour, per person cost is $9. Heck, its just about that much if you park at Sanibel (per car, per hour). And this place is just terrific. Kayaks are clean, people are knowledgeable and friendly, and ready to help/educate. Saw 4 manatees - VERY CLOSE UP and ZERO alligators. I am looking forward to going back. They also sell beach stuff, bagged sundries, etc if you forgot to bring anything. I really think its a great service/business they do. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Stephen was very knowledgeable about the eco system and he was so enthusiastic about what he was sharing. We had a very enjoyable morning!
Steve was a great guide. There wasn't much more he could have done to make the experience any better.
Booked a last minute excursion the night prior and was very happy to be able to join the group of 8. I was a party of one and was totally fine joining others (met a wonderful couple) who later shared photos with. Jackie was our guide was was very knowledgeable about the manatees we saw, birds, fish and other other wildlife. I’d highly recommend this tour to any one! Great experience!
Had a great 2.5 hour paddle. Jackie was our guide. We saw manatees, an alligator, and a dolphin. Recommend early tour to see more animals.
Had a great time kayaking through the tree islands. We saw plenty of manatees and also some gators. Sometimes dolphins can be spotted, but unfortunately we didn't see any.
Great place for a hike. Just about 5 miles of nature trails. Spotted many birds, groper tortoise and many butterflies in the butterfly garden. Beach is flat and great for walking.
Beautiful place to go kayaking. Probably better to go in early morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the midday heat. The lady at the store was absolutely wonderful. My toddler fell and was bleeding from his toe and the lady at the desk helped with the first aid kit and put a bandaid on. Specially with a crying little boy and I am so thankful for her and her patience and assistance. Beautiful place wonderful people! Thank you
