For the best bagel in Gainesville, you will deal with some slower than expected service. But, just deal with it; because, it is worth it.

I’ve found Luke’s to be slow, unresponsive, and generally unhelpful. Good bagels. Not at all worth the hassle of the experience.

Easily the best bagels I’ve ever had. I’ve been coming here for years and every time I do it’s one of the highlights of my day. The customer service is spectacular and the bagels are AMAZING. An absolute must have if you’re looking for breakfast in Gainesville!

Waited over 30 minutes for 2 turkey bagels WITH NO LINE. Literally ridiculous. Food was mediocre at best. And their EXCUSE was “our oven takes a long time”. Never returning for $30 waste of money.

I have been going to lukes bagels for years. It is the best place every to get a bagel, and the service is amazing, my favorite place to get the best new york bagel!

Try to get there when it opens at 7: 30am they do sell out of most of their items very quickly and it’s a long line to get food. I waited 30 mins to get my bagel but I ordered the rainbow bagel with cream cheese and iced coffee and it was good

I'm a repeat customer and pretty sick of the service and prices here. The bagels are decent but a (barely) toasted everything with cc for over 6 bucks is ridiculous. Lox sandwiches, for which you have to pay separately for the bagel and cream cheese, is around 17 dollars now with tax. They're not New York bagels, they're Gainesville bagels. And someone in another review says the workers are being paid on tipped wages? I have no idea how much they're paid, or whether this is true, but even if they're paid $30/hr, it makes zero sense that a lox bagel costs this much in Gainesville. I'm sure they'll continue to stay around due to lack of competition, but I'm done telling people to go there.

And of course, don't forget to tip the terrible staff.

Edit: Well I appreciate your response. When comparing to McDonald's, you should check to see how that price increase pans out for them. I can go on grubhub right now and get a Big Mac combo meal (large), complete with drink, delivered to my house for $15.22. Also that $18 is from one store in Connecticut.which is not Gainesville. You charge $4.25 for a coffee. It doesn't add up. Admittedly, the sausage egg and cheese isn't priced too poorly, but the lox bagel is a scam. Since you might actually read this: please make a lox option a la carte that has less lox and less (cheaper) cream cheese. I'd pay 13 bucks for that. Also, 2.35 for cream cheese, half of which falls off the bagel, is a waste.

Sure the wait times are terrible, and I'm not denying that labor is hard to find.

Average wait time for a single bagel sandwich is over 30 minutes.not very new york like.this might be ok if there was someplace welcoming to hang out, rather than a beatass slanted loading dock with loud refrigeration compressors.alas, luke’s misses the mark again.food is good but not worth the extraordinary wait time.

Great local bagel spot with amazing bagels and pretty speedy service! Better than most in the area. Will definitely keep coming!

The lady that was taking the orders this morning was really rude and not inviting! Definitely need to get rid of her! Bagels were limited and over priced!

We come from out of town to visit Shands frequently and this is our absolute favorite breakfast spot! We found it on a whim about a year ago and we go visit every time we’re up in Gainesville! Everyone is so friendly, and extra great with kids!

Bagels are fine. Nothing crazy. They’re good but the wait is ridiculous. 1.5 hrs for 2 bagels
