Worst place ever, waited more than 1hr to not even see the Dr. I left the place after they charged me for the copay and nobody even call me to ask what happened, first and last time. Wish they have a 0 star

He is a phenomenal Doctor! Very thorough! He explains everything. So you understand and legit! Best Doctor I have been to in a long time!

I made an appointment through advent health patient portal. Before selecting a time, you have to choose reason for visit. I requested as a new patient and selected my appointment time. 5 days go by and I had already confirmed my appointment and sent in required documents. The office waits until less than 48 hours to contact me and provide me with the information that they only see new patients at 9: 00am and 3: 00pm. My appointment scheduled for 2: 00pm was then cancelled and I asked when the next available appointment was to be told not until August. I understand there is likely a more involved process for bringing in a new patient, which I understand. But I had explained in my reason for visiting was my previous primary doctor was no longer practicing and I needed to refill my thyroid medication and request blood work. The delay in response was completely unprofessional and I could have been looking elsewhere for care. Instead I was left in a scramble to find care and had to settle on a virtual visit with a random doctor, which im not a fan of. Blows my mind they couldn’t honor the original appointment considering the circumstances and I would avoid using this providers services at all costs. Completely unprofessional.

I went to Dr Luther St James a few months ago after experiencing multiple family deaths and news of my infant niece having cancer. Looking to gain help for a much needed leave I was met with extremely long wait times (despite early check in) and badgering. The doctor told me to get labs done, some mental help and he would not fill out paperwork until I did so. I got help through therapy and returned to the doctor but still he would not fill out much needed paperwork and I had a deadline. He then told me to get more help and then he would consider filling out leave paperwork. His referral team couldn’t even find me help. This did nothing for my grief and anxiety I’m still going through. Thank God I found help elsewhere. I will never recommend this doctor to anyone!

A great Dr. But his office scheduling sucks. I don’t blame the office staff but if you are going to spend 30 minutes with a patient, don’t schedule 15 minute appointments. Last 2 visits I waited 2 hours and 1 1/2 hours (when I walked out) respectively in the exam room waiting for the Dr. Not going to happen to me again.

After over a hour and a half of waiting we left before seeing the Dr. I guess there is double or triple booking going on in there. Time is valuable.

Care has diminished. Practice is over crowded. Wait long. Front office not a plus. But most significant, Dr St James disposition seems to have changed with time. No longer recommend. From excellent to poor over the last couple years.
