Melissa is absolutely amazing! She was a joy to have as a part of our big day and helped everyone stay on track all day so that everything ran smoothly. There are no words to express how thankful I am to have booked Melissa Dozier-Jones as our Wedding Photographer. From our first interaction over email to meeting her in person, Melissa is super personable; you can just feel the bubbly energy exude from her personality, it’s contagious. Where do I even start. Melissa went above and beyond before we even booked her. From the first time we met her at a wedding expo, my husband and I knew she was going to be our photographer. Her style is so amazing and unique, we instantly fell in love with her photographs. Instead of just treating us like we were just another couple whose wedding she was going to shoot, she treated us like we had been friends for years. When we did our engagement shoot, my husband and I were a little nervous since we had never had professional pictures done before. Melissa made us feel instantly better! She was there making us laugh, talking us through it all and telling us stories of her and her husband doing sessions and what they do to ease their nerves. Melissa was not only here for us as our amazingly talented photographer, but she also always had a helping hand for ANY wedding question we had. Can I review Melissa 10,000 times? Because I could sing her praises for a loooooong time!

I met her at a wedding expo in a sea of meh and her plant displays and unique style reeled me in immediately. I'm so happy the universe allowed our paths to cross!

From a logistical aspect, start to finish she was AMAZING. No detail left out, on time, and she continuously underpromised and overdelivered. She is also a confusing wedding dress button master, which came in very handy.

Aside from her amazing and friendly personality, she is incredibly talented. I loved following her feed on IG leading up to our big day, knowing that we were going to get our magic captured like this too.

Her photos are hauntingly beautiful - I audibly shrieked when we got our engagement photos back - the amount of beautiful shots we got in our morning session was incredible.

We didn't even have to wait to get the first round of shots from our wedding! Melissa air dropped them to me at the reception - how amazing is that? !? It was totally unexpected and such a treat. We received the second round of sneak peeks this week and it was an incredible joy to be able to live through those moments again - I can't wait to see what kind of magic Melissa makes with the rest of the album.

We knew before we even got engaged that Melissa was the one who we wanted to photograph our special day as well as our engagement photos. I have been following Melissa’s work for years and it’s amazing how much she has advanced at her photography skills. One of our favorite things about Melissa is that she knows how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during the entire process. I loved all of her ideas for the photos and how she will do pretty much any ideas that you have too. She also came to the rescue for anything we needed help with during our wedding day.
