I have been a patient of Dr Paulson for many years. All my experiences were positive ones, & i've referred many others to him over the years. Last week I received a certified letter stating my dismissal as his patient, & as a patient of the clinic, due to 'noncompliance', with no further explanation. I called the clinic & was told I would receive a call back the next day. When it came, I excused myself from a business meeting to take it but ulimately, I missed more from the meeting than I garnered from the call. I'm still not clear on the reason for their decision. The office person said that my last appointment was in May of 2021. I'm diligent in making personal health my top priority, & am grateful to be in excellent health. I did need to make check-in appointments with Dr Paulson for presciption refills, & I did that without exception. The only thing I can surmise is this: my workplace offered a reduction in medical insurance premiums if one scheduled a virtual consultation with a nurse practioner, including blood pressure check & blood sample testing kit. Silly me, I remember thinking Dr Paulson will be pleased. This one-time event saved me hundreds of dollars on my health insurance, but apparently cost me my relationship with the best doctor I ever had. If there is another reason, such as a missed appointment I was not aware of, there was certainly no effort on the part of clinic staff to reach out to me. I followed my treatment plan, doctor recommendations & directives to the letter, never stopped taking my medication as prescribed, did not self-treat or self-medicate. However they define 'noncompliance' is still a mystery to me.
If you are a current patient of this clinic, please heed my warning, as it is a cautionary tale I have to tell. Be proactive in understanding the fine print of what you are signing. If you are an administrator of Magnolia Medical Clinic, it is important to make an opportunity to speak with the patient, before dismissing them. If you do not concur, perhaps review your business letter etiquette. It couldn't be more obvious in your dismissal template that your priority is increasing profit, instead of building a practice that is committed to service excellence.

I love this office! They are busy for a reason. Let’s use common sense and don’t call right as they open as the lines are busy, as this is a busy office for a good reason.
I love that you can get your labs, doctors visit, ekg, bone density scan, shots, all in one place! It definitely helps avoid insurance issues. I love this practice, very convenient, efficient, professional, and the best staff from the from of the house to the doctor!

Office staff is subpar. If you have prescription problems? Do not leave a message with the front desk secretaries as they will not even deliver your message to your Doctor's nurse! The people up front don't believe in HIPPA, or they need extra training about it. Just because you work at a Doctor's office does not make you a Doctor. Doctor Zachary was a bad fit right from the start. Take the medicine he prescribes or he will send you a certified letter informing you that he is no longer interested in being your physician after you told his nurse you are seeking a second opinion about blood pressure medicine (since the last 12 times having it taken it was normal). I would not recommend this medical establishment and no, I will not waste my time calling, as I have been asked to be put on hold, then hung up 9n after 15 minutes, kicked over to leave a message. Here is my message, Do better!

It was a horrible experience with Dr Russell back in about 1969. The damage was permanent for the rest of my life and I don't know why it happened. He did not live up to his oath as a doctor to do no harm. Before you see a doctor, make sure that doctor doesn't have ill feelings toward you. Not all doctors are good people. Russell was not a good person. I should have called the police on him. I want to know what I did to J. Russell, to deserve to be harmed for my entire life. Who was that awful woman? All the doctors I came in contact with were negligable, vindictive doctors. In the 70s I went to see a doctor in california in hopes of reversing the damage. This doctor said it can't be reversed and that he would report what Dr. Russell allowed to happen to me and Dr. Russell would lose his license. Neither happened, because they protect each other. I'll leave this in God's hands.

Came home to a letter in the mail stating I missed an appointment and that I needed to pay $25. I had an appointment 2 weeks ago that I called and cancelled. I tried to book it for the 9 th but the gentleman said I needed to fast. I said well that won’t work, and stated I would call back later that day if I could find a date that worked. He then went and scheduled me anyway for august 2nd. In my 33 years living I have never missed an appointment, as I know time is money. I sure hope the call was recorded because it will clearly state I did not agree to a date, as my schedule is made 3 weeks in advance so I couldn’t just pull a date to give. Why would I call and cancel the one appt I had and not cancel another. He needs to be coached on how to properly cancel appts and not book them without acknowledgment from the patient. Looks like I’ll be looking for a new doctor as clearly I already have to drive an hour to see my doctor. Hence why I can’t do morning appointments.

Dr Loudermilk and his nursing and admininstrative staff are absolutely top notch. I highly recommend anyone needing a general practice doctor to visit Magnolia Medical Clinic, and specifically Dr Loudermilk.

I have been calling for 2 days to ask questions about using dr paulson. It seems ppl get a better response on here than they do the phone. I get put on hold and someone picks up every now and again and puts me right back on hold. I have called 6 times today. I know by this I would never be able to get an appointment and I will now look into a different place. Not a good way to run a business! Especially a dr office when people typically call for health concerns

UPDATE: Last prescription refill was smooth as silk! I guess they fixed that!

I am mostly happy with MMC. The front staff is always helpful and nice, I love the fact that I can get labs, x-rays and a bone density scan all in the same place. Sometimes the wait is just too long. I understand sometimes patients delay things but every time I’m there I wait almost 45 minutes to see my doctor. My other problem is with prescriptions. The message when you call is rather condescending because it just says call your pharmacy. My pharmacy has to call Dr. Skojac’s office at least twice and then I have to call before it gets refilled.
I try to always get my refills when I’m at my visit but sometimes they run out. I hope this can be solved.

25yo Male: I have been going to MMC for about 6 years now. Enough to see staff come and go. As years progressed I have dealt with worse and worse office staff. Every time I speak with someone over the phone they sound so belittling and fed up, short ended and clueless. Ive seen them speak to seniors like they are ignorant half the time and I have expressed multiple times to particular staff that I am thinking of getting another healthcare provider because of this! Dr. Paulson is amazing, but I don’t think he knows how terrible and unconcerned his front staff is. Sandy at the front is their saving grace.

Called and waited for someone to answer phone. When she finally picked up, she put me back on hold. Then I was transferred to an inactive voicemail. And then back to general administration. I am looking for a new primary care provider. Very disappointed with my current provider. Never got a chance to speak to somebody.
