Sushi Restaurant Makoto reviews
16Diego, super incredible bartender, spectacular customer service, with magic literally, incredible entertainment for everyone, plus his cocktails OMG, super super good thanks to the most spectacular magician bartender in Miami
Came on Wednesday night and it was busy. The atmosphere and the service at Makoto are near perfect. We only ordered sushi and crispy rice hamachi and spicy tuna. The amount of rice vinegar use to make the rice is too overpowering taking away the flavor of the fish itself. And the end of our meal, we couldn’t even use soy sauce to pair with our sushi; everything started to taste sour like the vinegar. Everything else was as fresh as it can be. We had the $80 combination platter which I recommend over the $60. Excellent staff and very welcoming to first time diners.
Makoto Restaurant is a must-visit every time I fly into Miami from Boston. I simply love their food! The culinary experience here is consistently outstanding, making it a go-to spot for me. The flavors and quality of the dishes never disappoint. If you're a food enthusiast, Makoto is definitely a destination worth returning to.
Perfect lunch spot. Delicious food and dessert. Spectacular service. The dub music was the perfect soundtrack. 1
Absolutely stunning sushi and cuisine-not only was the fish quality excellent, supernal, top of the line (haha) but the composed dishes, toro tartare with miso, and esp.the beef noodles, are really creative and wonderful with tons of umami. I like they include robatas (skewered grilled stuff) on the menu too.
Service is as incredible as you'd expect from a very busy popular venue like this where all the beautiful (and well off) Miamians (!) come to dine.
Shout out to the amazing service of Bryant who explained every dish to us with outstanding knowledge!
We'll come back to Miami just to visit this restaurant-no joke.
The restaurant is super cute and lovely. The light is a bit dim not good for pictures but the food is absolutely delicious!
Oww my good the food was amazinggggggggg here for vacation from San Diego I wish we have makoto there, the flavor is unique also really good customer services we seated on balcony and o can see how do the food Oww my god in incredibly good and high level I love this and the price is incredible good for all you have the food my god, and the dessert you have to have it is unique also thank you for all, I can eat there every day I love it thank you
Maddy was a fantastic server, all of her recommendations were on point! Will definitely be coming back, as the food and ambiance was incredible.
Located in the terrace of Bal harbour shops, the restaurant has a cool vibe, a quality crowd and a trendy interior. They serve Japanese inspired dishes, which individually taste nice, but not on an unforgettable level. The menu is a bit fragmented, so I would re-visit to enjoy a beer with some appetizers on the cool terrace.
The edamame were lovely even though I was hesitant due to the color, the sea salt is always a great touch. The rest of the food was really good, the rainbow roll is considerably bigger in size than the spicy tuna. I’d come back. The teas were good as well.
Noisy restaurant, visited for lunch. Good service and good food quality. I've got the Ben Box Salmon, that was very good. Two people, we spent USD 53 tax and tip incl.
Food was good, but we ordered the steak medium well and they brought it medium rare, service was also good, very nice place, it gets really noisy when it is full.
My friends and I absolutely loved this place! We couldn’t stop talking about how chic it was decorated! It has indoor and outdoor steating and was 100% wheelchair assessable. Me and my three friends split a bunch of stuff off the menu so we could try a good portion of things.
We ordered-
Makoto House Salad
Crispy Rice Tuna
Wagyu Carpaccio (2 @28.00)
Sake Sashimi
Frosty Wagyu Fried Rice
Salmon Avocado Temaki
Shrimp Tempura Maki
Avocado Maki
Soft Shell Crab Maki
Yaki Noodle
Everything was divine, perfectly cooked and had immense flavor. The portion size was also perfect to sample multiple items. The service was top tier, like in a 5star Resturant. They are extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice Japanese meal.
We love this place and visit at least once (usually a few times) every time we come to Miami. Unbeatable sushi and drinks!
Makoto is amazing! Great atmosphere, great service, and Amazing food! We love coming here! We sat at the sushi bar and Jaun was so friendly and gave his recommendations which was the truffle salmon (amazing) our waiter Elias was amazing also. 10/10 a forever customer.
