Mama's Italian Family Restaurant reviews
17Food was beautifully presented and service was okay. The Fettuccini Alfredo and spaghetti and and meat balls was bland at best. Make your own decisions accordingly.
Stayed in Perry on our travels to my Dads house to visit what a find everything on the menu is so delicious pleasantly suprised as the town is very small but I’d make sure if we are ever this way again to eat here for sure loved the bang bang shrimp appetizer the most but really all was delicious!
Always have the best experience! Get the Grouper Picatta! Fish with mashed potatoes? Who would have thought that it would make a delicious combination? !
HORRIBLE experience! We came bc of all the wonderful reviews. What a joke! My husband, son and I came for dinner. I was craving a REAL spaghetti dinner. Not Olive Garden. All I wanted was a meat spaghetti sauce with regular noodles. No meatballs regular meat sauce. I express to the waitress what I want VERY clearly. She offered a bolognese sauce. I wanted a regular spaghetti meat sauce. Sweet Jesus it's an Italian restaurant. She brings me my spaghetti with no meat. She said that she didn't realize they cook meat with it in the sauce and then take out the meat to serve it. She never offered a solution or a menu to pick something else. SO here I sit while my family eats with no food. What a great place
Service was amazing! Very friendly staff! Food was good and atmosphere was peaceful. They were also incredibly accommodating of my mothers seafood allergy.
Food was not good service was not good it was less than average same old story start out as an Italian restaurant and then try and make hamburgers and fish and getting away from what got you where you were just stick to Italian and get a little more flavor in the food
Always wanted to eat here. Not my best Italian food. Service was nice. Even the customers.who probably were locals, were friendly!
Oh my goodness. Amazing salad. Awesome variety. Everything that came out of the kitchen past our table looked and smelled phenomenal! Definitely will be back when passing through.
Love this place, so many yummy foods! But last night ordered take out, got a mushroom, bacon, and swiss burger with fries. Cause their fries are awesome. Was actually disappointed.frozen buger. No mushrooms and raw on the inside.first time ordering a buger and last! Cant take the time to pattie up a buger.from fresh? And because I live 20 mins one way, I had to make the best if it.
We were pleasantly surprised with our dinner at Mama's Italian restaurant. We had the stuffed shells and baked ziti. Both were fantastic! Service was great.
Ordered for carryout. 12oz NY strip, med rare. Received medium/medium well. Steak was buried in some type of nasty brown gravy which was disgusting and not reflected on menu. Over half the steak was just nasty fat, so gross! If I wanted a fatty meat, would have selected ribeye. Baked potato sent with not so much as butter, why? Bread sticks were chewy, clearly not made in house, also served with some type of pre packed frozen zucchini? Also not reflected on menu. Never again. How do you stay in business? People of Perry must have very low standards.
Ordered NY steak and potatoes. Medium. Never offered bread at all. Steak was literally bleeding and the potatoes were hard. They apologized but took nothing off my bill. Didn't even offer me a free dessert. Will not come back here.
What a nice hidden gem. We stopped in on our way home from vacation and we were starving. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly face, we receded immediately and our waitress was at our table within minutes. She got our drink orders and our appetizer orders right away and then came back to see if we were ready to order. As we were ordering our appetizers came out and they were absolutely out of this world. My husband and daughter had the clams and myself and a friend had the cheese curds everything that came out was absolutely delicious and looked picture perfect amazing. After our appetizers they brought us breadsticks to hold the kids over until our meals came out which was almost instantly. Everybody's meal was perfect, delicious and big portions for the price, it was a very nice restaurant and we will definitely be back. Our waitress was phenomenal and made sure the kids were taken care of for anything they needed which makes our dinner that much better thanks for the great food and the great experience we will definitely be back.
The Flatbread Pizza was lukewarm with a fair pizza sauce. The lasagna was sizeable and tasty. The chicken marsala atop garlic mashed potatoes had plenty of mushrooms and a brown sauce that had more of a consistency of a light gravy but pretty good. The best parts of our first-time visit? The friendly service from Autumn and the desserts-try the Limoncello Cake (when they serve it; was a special tonight) and the chocolate cake! Unfortunately they had run out of Tiramisu.
I was disappointed in the little bit amount of food that you get served the seafood that I ordered barely had seafood I had more pasta than anything else even one of trade of food was missed to be made by the time I ate the first meal I was so disappointed that I paid for my meal and walk away I took my family across to buy chicken to finish filling my family with food and not be hungry
Bring back the real Pizza. The flatbread pizza was cold and tasteless. SKIP It! A kid cooking could have done better.
Excellent food, highly recommended if you like authentic Italian cuisine. I had chicken picata and my husband had the ravioli.
