Manatee County Rest Area reviews
15Great area for families to enjoy wildlife and have the opportunity to touch a stingray. Barely any lines even though it was busy when we went. Had a great time and its hard to find free entertainment nowadays! Love that it had things to do and read to learn everywhere!
Security guard on power trip has major disconnect with how the world works. Had been driving for 16 hours and needed a place to rest. Fell asleep for about an hour and went to go use the restroom where he was cleaning windows and talked to me in a very unprofessional way that I shouldn’t overstay my welcome and I can’t stay here forever “I’m gonna start knocking on everyone’s car windows”. After knowing he was going to wake me up if I went back to sleep I somehow managed to make it to another rest area. Looking at the reviews for this area it’s apparent this coward needs to be relieved of his duties. Absolute disgrace to know my tax dollars are paying for this pathetic nobody to be bullying restless and exhausted travelers.
Safe place to stop at and take in great views of the Bay and Sunshine Skyway Bridge. And the restrooms are always clean! Pack a lunch if you like they have a picnic area and dog walking area as well.
Stop here to catch a great sight of the v Sunshine Skyway Bridge and downtown St. Petersburg. Clean facilities. Easy access.
Clean, convenient and has quite a view of the sunshine skyway Bridge. Has good selection of vending items. Close to the fishing pier and a couple other BBQ spots for gathering.
They didn't have what I was looking for, The store was busy. The staff was friendly and helpful once they were able to get to me.
Very nicely redone rest area on the south end of 275 approach to the Sunshine skyway bridge. It's raised up to avoid any flooding. It's a nice view from the picnic tables that are available. Bathrooms are large and clean. Vending machines are available.
Beautiful rest area. Please note their are multiple ramps to navigate to get to the restrooms. It's probably necessary because of possible storm surge events. I estimate the restrooms are 12-15 feet above sea level.
Very clean and beautiful rest area. Beautiful views. The only down fall to this is a long climb of twisting steps. A long walk.
I can honestly say, without a doubt, the most picturesque rest area I've ever been to
This is one of the nicest rest areas I have ever been to. The restrooms were extremely well maintained! The view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is also beautiful!
New Structure Rest Area, Beautiful Bay View, Clean Bathrooms, Separate Private Bathrooms, Truck and Car parking. Handicap Parking and Ramp. Highrise Floor with many Vendor Machines, Benches in covered area and Water Fountains.
Very nice rest area beautiful building very modern and clean restrooms. Vending machines for many different things. Beautiful views on the water.
It's very clean. There are onsite attendants who take care to ensure the property stays clean for guests passing through and stopping to take photos of the Skyway Bridge.
Very nice but long stairs to bathrooms 2nd floor. Crazy some people can climb stairs? Did not see elevator.
