Manatee Memorial Hospital sent my mother-in-law to this place after surgery. They don’t provide pain meds although she just had surgery and it was on her med list for the past 10 years from other injuries. Place is NoT clean, rude, and don’t be fooled from the other guy who said not to listen to the bad reviews. When your family member is calling you crying hysterically to please get them out, you’ll wish you listened to us. Don’t send anyone here. Take your time and wait for a better facility. Good Luck.

This is my second rehab post TKA. All of the staff there and the PT department have been excellent. Very knowledgeable, positive feedback, with a get it done attitude.

Personnel is friendly, answers questions with explanation, considers suggestions and works on the best possible solutions. Food is good. They have physical therapy every day, play games, and an outside area. Patients are served well and with care. Big Thank You Manatee Springs!

Manatee Springs is a wonderful facility. They are very clean and very professional and have provided wonderful care for my lifelong friend who I am Power of Attorney for. My friend has had the best of care from a staff who is very attentive to her needs, and her health has remained very stable and she has even shown signs of improvement. I have nothing but praises for Manatee Springs! Don't let these negative reviews fool you. I have had nothing but a great experience with a facility who provides great care and are wonderful!

Nasty, dark, stinks, every single room is full, 4 covid cases with no separation of patients. Just disgusting. Getting my sister out of here.

The receptionist was very helpful in getting me signed in and directing me to my daughter’s room. I was warmly greeted by the staff in that area.

The gentleman at the receptionist area was very nice and helpful. He asked if I was visiting someone. I told him yes. He looked up her name and gave excellent directions to get to her room.

Honest review from a current employee. After 17 years in the healthcare profession I can confidently say this facility is beyond 5 ️’s.
I have never worked in a nursing facility that operates with as much integrity, compassion and knowledge as Manatee Springs. Each and every member of the team makes it a daily priority to ensure the needs of the patients are met above and beyond standard expectations/ guidelines.
The administrative staff / department heads all come with many, many years of experience allowing families to feel confident their loved ones are being supervised daily by professionals with an extensive knowledge base and strong clinical skills.
If you or your family member are ever left with questions or hit a roadblock, simply reach out to any member of our management team directly and I guarantee your questions/ concerns will be promptly addressed.
Why all the low star reviews you ask? Good question! Often from people that have never stepped foot in our facility, write based off personal assumptions/ hearsay/ no knowledge of current patient orders or general lack of understanding.
We understand when illness strikes, emotions run high. If you ever find yourself in that position, I encourage you to reach out to staff or management for a prompt response/ resolution! If something seems off, ask questions. Concerns can easily be put to rest with a conversation.
When it comes to Asthetic, the building is actively undergoing updates to increase visual appeal so it matches the care.
We aren’t perfect, nowhere is but we definitely strive to be as close as possible. If something is wrong, I assure it will be made right and quickly!
If you’re in search of placement for yourself or a loved one I highly recommend coming in for a tour, meeting our staff and even some long term patients that will be happy to share their unfiltered experiences. We look forward to meeting you

I went on 3/242023 to visit my friend’s mother. She is diabetic. They served her a deep fried piece of fish, french fries, burnt squash a hamburger bun and sugar with her coffee. The patient told me her sugar was 342 in the morning and this was lunch time and I called the the patient’s relative to report this and that is when a nurse came in to give her insulin. She did not recheck her sugar levels at that time and said she was giving 10 units because they had to wait until she ate. Maybe true? The dietician came in and gave some lip service about the menu and showed a paper that has choices for the month, but didn’t explain how to order food and did nothing. Then someone put gloves on to look at patient’s bottom and she touched the patient in the bottom area, never took the gloves off, touched patients wheelchair and then opened the door to room with gloves still on. Not sanitary. I didn’t have my phone with me but if I did I would have taken picture of the disgusting food. Also patient told me they gave her medicine for swelling that makes you urinate quite a bit and that she needed help for the bathroom and laid wet for quite a while.

This place is the most disgusting, unsanitary facility I have ever seen. My grandmother was there for physical therapy, and after 5 days, she never received any therapy, or any of her pain medication after having her hip surgery. They wouldn't help her to the bathroom or out of bed for any reason at all. The staff was extremely rude. She required an oxygen machine, and we were told that the only machines they had didn't work properly, so my father had to buy one to bring to her. She can't eat dairy, so rather than accommodating her, they just refused to feed her. After receiving a call from her at 2am, my father had to call an ambulance to take her back to the hospital for sever dehydration, confusion, chest pain, and severe back pain. After the hospital did x-rays this morning, it appears at some point during her stay at this facility she sustained trauma to her back. If we didn't pull her out of here today, I'm certain she would have died. This is the most vile, horrendous, filthy facility. Please do NOT allow your family to stay here.
