Overall nice library, the staff are nice. The internet browsing speed is fast, yet it slows down to a turtle when downloading files, which can make homework difficult.

I used to take my daughter to the kids space for some classes, she loved.
Unfortunately today the guy made up a new “rule”: ‘Only one class per day! ’.

There are 2 classes 30min each. So we attended the first one and waited to see if there is available space to attend the second one as well, as we drive 25minutes and 30 minutes class is not enough for my girl, she really enjoys longer play.
We waited so everyone got into the room, there were still 4-5 spaces, but the gentleman said we could not enter because we already went ones and told us about the “rule”.

My daughter was drudging me into the room, so we entered and set on the waiting chair so she can at least listen and see the kids.
But, the gentleman decided to come and show us the door out!

I really appreciate the events they do, beside the homeless people flooding the library. But after this, I am not going back, they can maybe think about rule for managing the homeless people and limit their stay in the library instead of limiting the small kids just willing to play.

Pretty great place for learning, small business meetings, and anything else that isn't cacophonous. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Second time in less than a week that I walked into the restroom and someone was smoking crack. I’m not sure how this keeps happening since security sits directly outside the bathroom entrance. The staff and library are nice but considering inflation and the rise of the homeless population, I’d think whoever was in charge would keep a better eye out for the drug activities in the restroom at least

Great variety of all subjects needed to have an open mind and learn about different cultures and history. Luckily not (yet) indoctrinated by the divisive state government.

Beautiful library with many many resources!
Tons of books & computers to use and enjoy.

However, there are more homeless people sitting/sleeping in here than most homeless shelters. It is air conditioned, they can use the chairs, computers and lounging areas. They usually have large garbage bags of clothes/things they carry with them. They smell extremely bad, stink if urine and garbage and are loud.

This is definitely NOT an ideal place where kids or young adults can go alone or at all. Not a good sight or place to be.

Very very sad to see a lot of taxpayer dollars go to what I can assume is an extremely expensive place to run and maintain. Around 50-75% of all the visitors that come in here are homeless people.

Very unfortunate!

I absolutely loved it my daughters, brother, niece and I went for a visit on Sunday to play dungeons and dragons. It was so fun and the group was so kind and silly. They had a private room to play and the library still had many extra rooms that were available. It was clean and presentable. There is a parking garage we were able to use and they gave us a pass to use for free so that we weren't charged for the parking. It truly was fun me and the family.

Went to see Cerabino at Mandela. You need to wear a mask when you enter the library. They only allowed 17 people for the lecture. The floor was marked on where your chair could go.
Cerabino was great. It felt great to be back.
Mandel has gone back to a full calendar of activities. So many children's programs.
November 30. It is so nice to order books on lone and when they come, you receive an email. My shelf is eye level to pick up what I ordered. That is so helpful.

Visited yesterday and this library has so much potential and the staff was very friendly, but is sadly overrun by homeless (mostly men), sleeping in all of the public spaces and seats. There was no open space to sit and look at books or magazines because every corner was occupied by a hobo, along with their suitcases, trash bags, and large blankets.

I would not visit with children or alone as a single woman out of concern for safety. Suggest the library establish a policy that prevents users from bringing suitcases, trash bags, and carts into the building to keep this a safe and welcoming place for all, not only homeless.

This is a beautiful library, but additionally, they bring the arts to the public, in order to enhance the experience of every visitor. I went to an amazing recital today by Duo Formosa, a local duo of amazing world class artists. Keep up the good work West Palm Beach!

This is the best library. The resources available to the community are mind-boggling. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are sections devoted to teens and kids. It's a great environment to inspire learning.

Hands down best library. It is a beautiful building with some awesome character and architecture. There’s a spot on the top floor with couches next to a huge window… this is my go to spot lol…you can get lost in a book here and not realize you are in a public space. I’ve been going to this library for years and it is definitely my happy place. Their book selection is also unmatched in the region. Lovvveeeee this library!
