Mangoes Restaurant reviews
14Best food we've had in the Keys both trips! Mahi Tacos were fill with fish, conch fritter good.but the guava daiquiri the best - we used p-apple and orange juice instead of grapefruit, made it sweeter. Drinks alone worth going for!
Loved the food and the atmosphere was great. But, I need to point out three things. First, tipping on the after-tax price, which I have never seen before. Second, credit card surchage of 3% added, which means a shifting of service charges by credit card companies to customers. Last, liquor sales tax imposed on the drink we have ordered and asked for modification to non-alcohol. Ended up my dinner with a bit of embarassment.
We were looking for a nice restaurant where we could sit outside for lunch. Since we had passed this restaurant several times and it looked good, we chose this one. The welcome was friendly, the space right on the Duval was nice. For dinner we ordered a César’s salad with chicken and a lobster roll. The lobster roll was OK. The sauce for the César salad tasted like it came from a can, and the chicken was completely overcooked. It was dry and burnt black in some places. Chicken breast can be delicious when cooked correctly. As it was with Mangoes, it was just annoying. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to my friends for dinner, maybe the cocktails that we didn't try are better
We stopped in for a couple of drinks and appetizers. Everything was perfect and the bartender was incredible.
What a wonderful experience. We had a very friendly server, Sophia, and the food was exceptionally good! We had the taco salad and the grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and finished with their brownie creme Brule for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend coming here!
First Time visiting this location they surpassed my expectations, Clean Environment, Friendly Staff, Quick Service, Food Was Good &Freshly Cooked, Great Atmosphere, Beautiful Views
The food @Mango's was so good my taste buds refused to leave the restaurant, moved in and left me to fin for myself. I ate like a king who's every bite catapulted me into the kind of culinary bliss from which one hopes never to return. But then again, I had to come back just so I could experience EVERY delight this chef has to offer. Mango's leaves the use of "bonne apetit" wanting for more again and again. I found my happy ever after and it was hiding at Mango's.
Always have amazing singers! I love the atmosphere, drinks and great music!
A must to see Jack & Kari Wolf!
Cute place! Great service!
The food was so fresh (watermelon salad and prosciutto with burrata) and the drinks were refreshing (big a$$ mimosa and mojito) - great place for lunch and to people watch as you dine Al fresco! We will be back!
We just wanted a snack and walked over from our hotel. What an amazing surprise! Sophia was such a wonderful server and the nachos were to die for! I wish we had stopped there a few days ago! Fans made the outdoor dining enjoyable.
Sometimes you just want to people watch and be a tourist and realize you might trade good food for location. But we were pleasantly surprised to have delicious food at this centrally located establishment. We definitely have had our fair share of disappointing tourist traps on Duval. The indoor dining room—thought a bit loud and echoey—was just what we needed to cool off too. Luckily we got in right before a rush as the one server got slammed right after. The deviled eggs appetizer did not disappoint and my lobster roll (New England not Japan) was simple yet tasty served on toasted challah bread (I think, not rice haha!) My partner had chicken and waffles which was yum inducing too, perfect combo of crispy sweet and savory. There was nice patio dining/lounge area too
The food and the staff were awesome. Great atmosphere and live music. Super friendly place to be.
There are many options to drink, and alcoholic drinks but food is not a large menu just some starters, salad and a few entrées. The Best was the Ribs with Smash Potato with Truffle. It is a place to have some drinks and have some starters, very good location, and service is not bad, very nice people, it's cute and a little fun because there is live music that makes your night good for start. I recommend this place for having an snack and drinks. I love my Raspberry Margarita. The belly starter and Empanadillas de Chorizo was not so good, empanadillas a little spicy for my taste and don't taste chorizo and the belly was serve in a bed of vegetables with a very spicy sauce. The best was the Ribs and the cocktails and the live music. It's a place to have fun.
My friends and I ate at Mangoes for our first meal in the keys! The atmosphere was cool. Very typical beachy vibes. We ordered the mango margarita and mango pineapple sangria for our drinks. They were delicious but not super strong! We had the ahi tuna nachos for our appetizer and they were very good. My friend and I had the short ribs for our entrees, which were good. My other friend ordered the shrimp scampi. The flavor was good but it needed more sauce. The customer service we received was satisfactory but nothing extraordinary. Overall, we were content with our dining experience but not blown away. We look forward to seeing what other restaurants the Keys have to offer!
