Should be a zero stars. I wouldn't even bring my animal here for care. They were very rude and didn't provide adequate care for my mother who went there for rehab. Took over an hour to respond to a call light. Had to call up there in order for them to even go see what she needed. Took over an hour to get a glass if water and she only got that because we called up there to demand it. Left her in a dirty diaper for over 3 hours. Would only change her 1 time per shift. My mom ended up back in hospital 4 days after being here. She was so bad she was put in icu. Don't bring your loved ones here.

Almost killed my mom and provided no therapy. If you love your loved ones this is not the place. Run down and poorly trained and fairly uneducated staff. The place probably should be shut down. Actual caused my mom's death

The entire staff staff is amazing ; from the front office team, to the aids, nurses, the physical therapists, and everyone in between. They push the patients to get better- and help them get up and moving quickly. The facility is always clean and well maintained. Visiting hours are 24/7, and the building is very secure, you have to have a code to get in and out…Only complaint is the food. No taste and always over cooked. Veggies and fruit are canned- not fresh.but we’re allowed to bring food from the outside.
(maybe they have bad food on purpose because they want the patients to get motivated to get out?)

I recently toured the community with my grandmother and absolutely loved the environment. We scheduled a tour around lunch time and ended up staying for lunch and an activity. Not only was the building bright and beautiful, but the staff was very friendly as well. We can't wait to move forward with the process.

We had a pretty terrible experience from start to finish (3 days) from the nurse Camerin being rude and condescending upon our arrival to the nurse, Shelly W, who said she would call 911 after our dad had a seizure, but she then admitted she never called. It’s sad because the therapists were amazing. We would watch the hallway lights flash indicating patients needed assistance, and no one would come. Advice: tour this facility before you bring someone here. It is dirty, depressing, and you’ll see how miserable the staff is and that can tell you a lot.

I would like to say thank you so much for taking care of my mother!
This facility has done a good job making sure she is safe and taken care of. I would especially like to thank David in admissions for helping to make the admission as smooth as possible and going the extra mile to make it happen in the first place as she was moving from Indiana to Florida, which further complicated the situation.
The facility is a good one and the care and interactions my mother and I have had will everyone working at ProMedica have been pleasant, professional, and compassionate. They do what they say they will, which is an excellent thing in this day and age!
Thank you all so much!

I am writing as one of the sons of our father, Samuel W. Reed who was recently in the Promedica/Manor care facility in Dunedin FL for the last 4-5 weeks.

Our family wanted to take an opportunity to express our sincere appreciation from three specific and exceptional individuals that were involved in the care of our father during his briefed stay.

First, David, the admissions representative. From the moment we met David he was very sensitive to our situation regarding bring him to your facility. He secured us a private room as we needed, reassured us of all that would be happening, and talked us through so much. Additionally, he never waivererd whenever we needed him for questions throughout the whole stay. His demeanor is so claiming and reassuring and he was always thoughtful to all of the needs of our father as well as to us individually.

Second, our CNA, Natasha. Natasha is an extremely compassionate and caring person who possesses a natural skill set in this type of patient care. She consistently went over and above to make sure our father was clean, comfortable, and kept his dignity always in the forefront of her mind. As a family, she consistently showed us kindness and caring. Up until the very moment we left with him, she took care of him and us. We cannot say enough good things about her as a person.

Third, our CNA, Beatrice. From the moment Beatrice walked in the door for the first time to the room, we just knew she was going to be the one we looked to in times of need. And this could not be any more true during our time in the facility. Beatrice is another person who has genuine compassion and care in what she does. She took everything she did for our father and is very personally. She keeps a beautiful smile, and talked to our Dad every time she tended to him. She consistently made sure as a family we were also comfortable and made sure we also had what we needed or answered questions we had. She was always willing to do anything for us. Just a lovely person all around, but again, another individual very suited for what she is doing.

Though these three individuals have a specific title at the facility, we as a family considered them true LEADERS that represented what patient care should be, and you should be extremely proud of all of them.

If we all as a family could offer any other feedback about our stay, we would ask that future training opportunities included these individuals to emulate. Their true compassion is what we believe os what families will look for in this time of sensitive need for their loved ones, and what you would want to see from all of your staff members.

Please recognize these three individuals.

Please, though, send Carol the nurse back for Empathy training.

My uncle spent about 2 weeks at Manor Care. They kept him safe and he received PT, OT, and Speech therapy during his stay. The admissions staff were very helpful in explaining the process and helping us to get what we needed. His therapists were genuine and hard working.and made him work! When it was time to move on, social services kicked into gear and again, got us what we needed and fast! Good experience overall!

First off, I must admit after seeing the rating below 4 for ManorCare-Dunedin we were hesitant to have our family member sent there. But this is a perfect example why ratings do not always tell the story. I''ll start with the staff, which I believe the most pertinent factor. They were always compassionate, caring and sincere. The communication was super transparent and I always felt the management and nursing team was available. Very responsive. Most of all, they provided the care our family member needed. Always being present to his needs and making sure he was always in a good place, despite his illness and struggles. Regarding the amenities, our room was always clean, the food was prepared and good quality, showers, rehab and on-call assistance. Also, our ability to visit and spend time with our family member was seamless. In my mind, it all comes down to the people and quality service and care. It felt like an extension of family. From Jennifer to Jomary to the entire team, we thank you greatly. I hope others receive this type of treatment when they experience a really challenging time in their lives.

My mother has been at this nursing home since early December, My sister and I are in major disbelief of this facility, This place is no way to treat elderly, my mother is 82 with dementia and and I've never seen such a dirty, grimy, understaffed, facility in my lifetime. My sister and repeatedly tear up when we go there To visit my mom in the last months of her life, This facility is in Dunedin Florida if anybody reads this please do not ever let your relative go here this place is Miss Managed and staff is horrific, We have to sanitize her bed on a daily basis clean the toilet wash the floors, It's a little relief that my mom has dementia because she's one of the cleanest person I know when she lives at home. Terrified to see her like this, We are constantly trying to move her out of here with no avail‍

Absolutely awful. My great grandmother was at this location for less than a month and left in worse shape than she was when she came after a fall. They are neglectful, incompetent, and down right disgraceful. Their nurses are nowhere near properly trained as they allowed her to become dehydrated at their facility and she is required to stay in her bed 23 hours a day. Her PT isn't anywhere near up to par and she has been forgotten more than once. Do not send your family here if you love them.

My Mom was in ths facility for 5 weeks. I was very impressed with the care she received. Everyone from PT was very professional and communicated wih me regularily. When I was there Kim, Julia and Stephanie showed me many ways to help my Mom with walking for after she got home. The nurses and CNA's were very helpful and answered all my questions. My Mom enjoyed the food and the staff was very attentive and responsive. Liz was always there to help. David from admissions was very friendly and always asked how things were going. I admire the people who do this work. It is not easy and they did it with competence and grace. I was very pleased with her care and I highly recommend this facility.

My grandmother was a resident at Manor Care for just over 3 years. She was 103 when she passed peacefully at the facility. The nursing staff on the 2nd floor went above and beyond with her care. Top notch communication from nursing anytime an issue arises. Rehab team stepped in anytime she needed a little extra strengthening. Even during Covid communication was great. Highly recommend Manor Care Dunedin. Thank you for everything.

Anna shared the later years of her life with Jerry's father after Jerry's mother died. Anna was a caring, loving companion and partner to Jerry's dad, and when he died, Anna lived alone in their house for several years. In 2013, when she could no longer manage the house on her own, she moved into succession of long-term homes, where the situation was not always ideal. But in August of 2019, she moved into ManorCare where with the fond attention and care, especially of David Fisher and Marie Dowling, and despite her age of over 100, she did well. Marie, especially, was instrumental in enabling Anna to keep in touch with us by iPad, communicating every few weeks all the way to Canada! We always felt that Anna was in excellent hands and we were and are enormously thankful to David and to Marie. Anna died in September of 2021, at the age of 103.

Only went there one time. Rude front desk woman and agree with other posts about them being lazy. My grandma was there and they were not giving her water when she asked for hours. So who knows what else they were not doing. I had to speak to people in the front to get her water. She passed away days later. Which I truly feel was due to a lack of care and concern at this facility. 1 star is too much for this place. Nightmare
