Marion County Rest Area, I-75 Southbound reviews
29 Clean inside and out! Not only were the bathrooms clean, but so were the grounds & parking area. We both liked the cranberry soap. Water was cold, but hot air hand dryers were efficient. Not crowded at all.
If you want snacks or drinks, vending machines were available. Also impressed by the recycling bins for paper & plastic next to a bin for trash.
It’s OK to stop in there for a restroom or to relax a little bit but if you’re looking for coffee, Just vending machine garbage
There is a lot of land meaning areas where you can walk your dog if you should have one or you just want to take a walk and stretch your legs there is a bathroom vending machines. Also there's 24 HOUR Security there as well.
This is our pit stop when we go south. It is a hour and a half from our home, just in time for our first stop. This rest area has improved. The stalls are clean and it has security. Stop by if it works for your route.
This is an awesome facility with the addition of an overlook where you and your family can look out over 95 and miles beyond it. Great spot to refresh and take some photos. Unfortunately they have a power hungry "ranger Rick" who closes the lookout for no logical reason other than his laziness. So if you arrive after 5pm you aren't allowed to go to the outlook. Allegedly you can step over the chain and still enjoy the overlook despite the unwarranted rule of "Ranger Rick"
Nice rest area with segregated parking for motorhomes and RVs. Clean with plenty of room to walk your pets. There is a large covered pavilion with picnic tables for lunches and resting out of the weather.
This rest area is very well landscaped. The rest area is also well lit at night. They have snacks so when you are there you can get snacks. You can also walk your dog while you are walking around and stretching.
This is old style rest area
Lot of parking space
Old restrooms
Not too much space for picnic
Clean, bright, very nice grounds and helpful attendants. Surrounding area is beautiful, many of the locals run craft businesses out of their properties. I wish I had longer to explore the area but I made several great purchases.
This rest area is very well landscaped. The restrooms are clean. It is well lit at night and has an armed state trooper or an armed security guard on duty at night
Good place to take a quick break, stretch your legs and use the bathroom. It has vending machines with snacks, coffee drinks, and ice cream snacks
The insects are horrid outside but it's a beautiful stop. Get your free orange juice and maybe some discount coupons for various Florida attractions.
Bathrooms were clean and there is a security guard on patrol at night. We didn't stay here very long but it seemed like a good enough place to stop for a while and get a bit of sleep on a long trip.
Area is clean and easy to get in and out. Just don't use vending machines. The operator who manages it doesn't care or call back and several items get stuck all the time. This vendor should be kicked out of rest area.
Well what can one say right. It's a rest area. I come from a part of the country where a rest area is a place to pull over and relive yourself as fast as you can before those guys you just got done passing get done reliving themselves. Let me tell you, not so for this one. This place is huge. Commercial trucks and trailers park in front of it along the interstate. Then the rest area buildings, set back from those would be the section for autos to park. There is a section of grass and picnic tables, and dog walking area. Then behind that, parking for RVs. There are vending machines for snacks, soft drinks, coffee, and frozen novelties. The place is clean, and it is patrolled by an on-site armed security guard. I spent the night in my sailboat that I'm towing across the country and had a beautiful night's rest. It was reasonably quiet, and I felt very safe. I would most definitely stay in it again.
Nice and clean rest area. Plenty of shades and shelters to rest or have food. I think 24 hr security at this place. Many times, I've seen staffs at this location.
Vending machines will eat your dollars, use only debit or credit cards if you dont want to throw away money like I did.
It was clean, safe and functional. Everything you expect from a rest stop. They should consider providing poop bags because the dog walk area is like a mine field.
I always appreciate the state rest areas. Usually well maintained and a welcome break in a long drive.
Nice clean place to take a rest. Only complaint are the money beggers who were set up trying to get donations next to the restrooms. Not something you want to deal with when looking take a pit stop from the freeway.
