Marion County Tax Collector, Dunnellon FL

I have worked retail and with the public for over 20 years. I know that it's frustrating and some people can be hard to deal with.
That being said, I've never had to deal with rude people to the extent that I do here. I think I've literally told every single one of the women that work there off every single time I've gone there because they are so effing rude. I have literally never had a good experience with anyone that works there. The rudeness is off the charts.

Tried to get a birth certificate here and these backwards clerks tried to tell me that my mother had to apply for it lol I went elsewhere and was able to get a copy. Haters make me famous

The girls aren't overly friendly but I'm not looking to make friends I'm here to handle business and they always come through for me. No run around which is extremely refreshing considering the services they are providing, straight to the point and they always seem to go the extra mile to see to it we accomplish what I need done. Very satisfied each time I leave.

Also usually no wait and they play decent music. Can't complain.

Bent there twice very helpful. Even if it's not what you want to hear. Very short waiting times.

No wait, we were able to change our address on driver license and renew a license in a short amount of time. It beats driving into Ocala! Person we worked with was friendly but professional and able to take care of everything we needed.

I walked into the DMV to fix an issue with my license to find out it had been suspended already. The problem was that I sold my vehicle and didn’t turn the tag in within 30 days. I wasn’t even notified there was an issue with my license!

I am giving 5 stars because the staff there was extremely courteous and professional. They understood my issue, and while couldn’t help me with the cost ($160!) they did give me all the right information I needed to get my license back ASAP. Which I did!

I also noticed that every window was occupied with a teller. They sanitized after each customer. They were aware of the line and kept people moving while doing everything right.

The woman that appeared to be the manager, Amber, was helping out all the ladies as best she could, running back and forth. And the lady that helped me, Samantha, was so precise and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. Such a quick visit, as always, I drive 45 minutes just to use this location. Outstanding staff.

They get you in and out fast always been very friendly and understanding been going there for six years with no problems

I’ve been on the phone for the past hour. I understand it’s been pretty busy but I’d expect someone to answer the phone within 30 minutes but I was proven completely wrong.

Worker was a bit rude. I renewed my license early & she would not give me back my old license stating a person cannot have 2 ID's. I should have asked for a supervisor as the old one was still valid for 2 more months. She was also rude regarding my marriage license & had to ask another gal if it was OK. Been married for 30 years & it was fine last time i renewed. She is on a power trip.

They have always been polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. Hard to believe this friendly place is a DMV. Thanks yall!

I went to the DMV in Dunellon on the 5th of February 2021. I was met at the door by a curious young lady who made sure we got our number for service, understood the rules for covid and got us a seat. I was helped by #3. I needed to register 3 out if state vehicles and get my DL. I was treated with dignity and respect. I wish all DMVs were run like this one!

I needed to get my Florida driver's license and I'm out of state. Glad I came here instead of waiting for a month for my appointment in Citrus County. And they didn't care if I'm from a different County or not. Dont know why Citrus County makes it difficult. Anyhow.

Deanna helped me out, got me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Almost way too easy & fast as to what Im accustom to for normal wait time.

I arrived around 10 am, not the earliest, but judging by the efficiency and how quickly people were finished they were able to get me in and out quickly.

Great Service and helpful people! And follow the Covid protocol. I'm from Utah. Maybe the DMV in Utah can learn a thing or two with how to do things correctly without the snotty and pointless attitude I'm used to. Glad to be in Florida. Keep it up guys!
