Eggplant appetizer.the best I ever had and the snapper francese.was cooked perfectly.fish not dry.
Really interesting flavor combinations based off traditional Italian dishes. The additions of some different cheeses and flavors really updated everything and we were very pleasantly surprised with this meal.
Uncooked pasta, bordering on crunchy, sauce right out of a can, no seasoning raw tomatoes. Bread no butter, gorganzola salad had parmesan on top, zero gorganzola. Go to a pizzeria
What a remarkable evening well spent. It is a great place to have a delicious dinner with amazing costumer service. Since the majority of the clientele are elderly rich people, it truly is a great atmosphere to be in. The portions of the food are phenomenal, and I’d definitely come back.
If you are unsure, go with the Chicken Parmigiana, it was absolutely delicious. Crispy and tender, with a delicious pasta on the side.
Highly recommend, and definitely coming back.
I’ve thought a lot about placing a one star review on Google of a restaurant where I have enjoyed their food, but also feel compelled to share my experiences which have brought about the review. I’ve never eaten “in house” at Mario’s, but have experienced their food as a pickup and delivery customer for 4 years. I’ve never had a bad meal as a pickup customer -all the food is well prepared and attractive in their take-out containers. But there have been two occasions in the last few months where I ordered food for delivery by one of the delivery services. And these orders were, directly expressed, messed up. I ordered a Tuscan Salad and requested the dressing be on the side. It was delivered with the dressing already on the salad, and it was soggy and uneatable. I tossed it in the garbage. The second occasion I had again ordered the Tuscan salad (it is delicious and clearly a favorite of ours) and again the salad was dressed. And soggy. And uneatable. And our side order of asparagus, for $11, was limp (overcooked) and 5 skinny pieces. Because I was certain I had placed a note that the dressing be on the side I called and asked to speak with a manager. To protect his privacy, I’ll say his name was SCOTT. And as soon as SCOTT got on the line I could tell he was in a “bad mood”. His tone was irritated. He sighed. And sighed again. He sounded exasperated before I even explained the problem. He interrupted. He was, bottom line, RUDE. He closed by stating “you didn’t request the dressing on the side and that’s that”. Well, for me, that WAS that. My $100+ plus weekly take-out orders became zero orders. There are no shortage of Italian restaurants in East Boca, and this one doesn’t deserve my patronage with someone like SCOTT interacting with customers. Pics of my emaciated asparagus and over-dressed salad will be posted once found.

The wait staff has always been wonderful. As is the However, the issue with the host stand as a whole. They are incredibly curt, cold and condescending. As though they are doing a favor and it is a chore. While the words they speak are professional, the tone and expression is anything but. They lack warmth at that hostess stand. And I am not saying this from one visit - this is now my eighth+ visit, to which, at this point I completely avoid the host stand entirely if having a quick luncheon by the bar.
As a customer service supervisor who manages an upward of 500 employees I have to understand and know what customer service means or else I wouldn't be in my position. Management must know how severely lacking the host staff is. Although, after reading the comments from multiple platforms, it does seem as though this is a managerial issue. It's a shame because it's a great restaurant but so many times I have reconsidered eating there simply because of the way you're treated when entering the door. The host staff is the very first face that the customer sees, so therefore, they set the tone. It's a shame because I've always had a wonderful experience there - beside that very first interaction.
Apparently, this restaurant is NOT in the business of selling food! I spoke to their manager and explained to him that the last two times we had takeout the food was cold. He told me I was lying and that “that was not possible”. Unfortunately, this restaurant has lost our business and the manager has proven to be extremely ignorant and close minded. Luckily for us in Boca Raton there are a lot of great Italian restaurants so I’m sure we will be fine.
The experience was truly wonderfull. The restaurant was extremely busy and from the time we walked in to the time we left, we were treated wonderfully. There were 6 of us and our server never missed a beat. Everyone had a different dish and they were all delicious. Ask for Rio to be your server. He was very nice. Management was terrific in getting us a table where my service dog was comfortable as well. 5 stars is not enough for the complements they deserve. We definitely will be back.
Our only complaint was to the "Karen" who didn't like my dog. Just a nasty old man who felt he had to complain. I guess that he has never needed a service dog. I depend on my dog.
All and all, an exceptional experience.

One word- Horrible
We have visited several times in the past but this food was disgusting and not edible.
Prosciutto pizza was sent back as it was tasteless and frozen pizzas are better. The clams casino were 6 dime size clams full of breadcrumbs and what little you could taste had zero flavor. A mushroom pizza replaced the first one and there was so much cheese you could not lift a slice and had no taste. The cheese stretched into the parking lot -again it was disgusting and we just left it. The calamari was ok - Overall, there are far better places to dine at, and this food was terrible. Btw- we sat at the bar- big mistake as the service is non existent. You have to shout down the bartenders who pretty much ignore you.
Beef carpaccio had waaaayyy too much Arugala on it. Under that was no flavor. Chicken fettuccini was bland and mostly just buttered noodles. I expected more. The restaurant itself was beautiful
Alex, the bartender outdoors is so attentive and efficient. Wonderful consistency. Very friendly.
Walked in after my reservation for a party of 9 at PF Changs next door was basically cancelled. The hostess was incredibly empathetic and took us right in, sat us at the high top right up front. Joseph G took it from there, extremely friendly calm and very patient with all our requests. He treated the kids with a great deal of sincere respect. His demeanor throughout the night was to make sure we enjoyed our family dinner. The food was incredibly delicious. The meatball appetizer was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the whole experience. Thank you to the management, hostess and Joseph G for a great experience.
We always enjoy ourselves at Mario's. Great food and excellent service. We'll be back as always.
Always room for improvement. The Caprese did not have fresh mozzarella and tomatoes were tasteless. And then the Cesar Salad was mediocre. The main dishes are large portions and were ok but not great overall. Have been there several times prior and the food was much better.
I was in last evening with four other ladies. Our waitress, Debbie C, was terrific. She was very attentive to our needs and was very timely with getting us what we needed.
