I don't see why this place will be rated five out of five the rooms are outdated and the beds are extremely uncomfortable.this place needs a huge renovation and it's absolutely no good for families because the rooms are super small!

ETA - the "complimentary" beach chairs and beach towels doesn't open until 930am on Saturday. Not sure about the other days but that seems annoyingly late. So here I am at 917am waiting for the workers to go ahead and sign me in so I can get a chair that is already set up.

As a lifetime titanium with Marriott, I've stayed at a lot of hotels and resorts. This was a difficult review to figure out because I really wanted to rate it high!

The location was an easy 5 star. Right on the beach, walking distance to tours and restaurants, and pretty quiet area.

Rooms were nice, but it's the little things.

The mini fridge didn't work consistently. It was ok when we got here then we used it and woke up the next morning with luke warm items. After calling, the hotel got us a new fridge but they tried to tell us there was nothing wrong with the old one. The temperature of the items tells a different story!

The a/c has a motion sensor on it like many hotels which is really annoying! After being outside in the heat and humidity it would be nice to walk into a cool room but that's not possible here.

The wifi is really slow. I ended up using my phone hot spot.

The bathroom was small. Nice, but small. Other resorts I've been to have much larger bathrooms with full tubs. Our room had a corner sink, pretty basic shower, and not a lot of room left over.

The plus side - the housekeeping team was all very nice and they did a good job with the rooms.

The service.this is where my status level expectations kick in. In a non-resort Marriott there is a concierge lounge where breakfast is included. Since this is a resort, there is no lounge. When I asked about it, I was told about all of the resort amenities that were provided. This is great but it's included as part of the resort fee that everyone has to pay.

The only perk provided to a status member was a Starbucks coupon for 2 drip coffees. One coupon - not one for each day. Just one. And we were told that was because the wifi was free for everyone so the coupon was provided to give us a perk.

No free breakfast. No welcome gift. Really no special perks for rewards members which is disappointing.

Overall, compared to other Marriott resort hotels, this was simply a slightly fancier basic Marriott. Nothing to write home about.

Tip for Marriott Stanton management: Have some grace for your customers and 1000s of others whose flights were canceled at both airports in NYC on September 29 2023 and without choice had to cancel much anticipated travel plans made weeks in advance. Laughable customer service from the Marriott Stanton. Hilton took down my canceled flight number and offered me a full refund on a nonrefundable room after understanding the situation. In retrospect, filtering the reviews here by lowest rating, seems like this hotel is outdated and not well-kept anyhow, so I cannot imagine I missed out on very much. Will not be giving any Marriott hotel my business moving forward. Absolutely disappointed.

Honestly the best location closest to the beach. The service and attendance was great by Kristina!

The pool is quite nice and the hot whirl pool is amazing after a long dip in the pool late at night. By far my favorite Marriott in the last 4 months of travel around the world

Came here on vacation and when I checked online the reviews were pretty mixed. But my experience was amazing start to finish.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Stanton South Beach hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for my entire stay.

The 5-star service I received from Audrey, Kristina, and the valet staff was truly remarkable (Apologies, I'm forgetting the 2 guys that I talked to mainly, but top-tier service). Audrey and Kristina went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist with any questions I had, provide recommendations for local attractions, and made me feel like a valued guest.

I stay in room #1035, which was the Oceanview King. One standout aspect of my stay was the impeccable cleanliness of the hotel and its property. The attention to detail in maintaining a pristine environment did not go unnoticed. It's clear that the Marriott Stanton South Beach takes cleanliness and hygiene seriously, which is especially reassuring in these times.

The extensive list of amenities included with the resort fee was a pleasant surprise. From access to the fitness center to the well-appointed pool area, I had everything I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay right on-site. It's evident that the hotel values its guests' comfort and convenience.

My only 4 criticisms with all the positives I've listed above are:

1. Big water bottles are not included with your stay, they charge $6 to the room per bottle for life
water 33.8 oz. (But if you want free water you can get mini cold bottles of water downstairs by the valet booth)
2. There is no microwave or silverware in the room.
3. There is a mini fridge in the room, but it doesn't have a freezer compartment.
4. Chairs and towels are included on the beach, but umbrellas are not. Even with Marriott gold elite status or higher and even with the resort fee. They are $25 each day.

Thats's it. Very mild criticisms, if you ask me. Other than that, it was amazing!

Overall, my stay at the Marriott Stanton South Beach exceeded my expectations in every way. The 5-star service provided by Audrey, Kristina, and the valet staff, coupled with the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and the wealth of amenities included, made for a truly memorable experience. I can't wait to return to this gem of a hotel on my next visit to South Beach.
