Marsala Pizza of Estero reviews
17So we just purchased a new home to be built in Estero in the coming year. It was very important to me to find a excellent pizza place, since I am originally from New York. Me and my wife stopped in there yesterday to try this place out since it will be the closest to our home in Verdana Village. We split a small cheese pizza with sausage and met and exceeded our our expectations for Florida pizza. Marsala's will definitely be our go to pizza place when we relocate later this year. Next time we visit the home's progress, we will try their dinner meals.
This restaurant has great food, but you need to make sure you have a reservation. They are extremely busy during season. Their garlic knots are the best!
Best pizza in Estero. I drive from Naples once a week to eat at Marsala’s. Great family owned restaurant with great service and excellent management. The chicken pesto pizza is my favorite, worth the trip for sure.
We enjoyed delicious meals at Marsala's tonight and the place was packed. Excellent and attentive service at the bar by Isabella. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced. We will be back for sure!
Great pizza and linguine with clams sauce, we had the vodka sauce pizza and it was fantastic, and the creamy chicken pizza was so unique. Nice people and great food!
Decent food, horrible, terrible service!
My first experience: sitting in the restaurant my party waited 43 minutes for WATER (yes, you know it's bad when we had to time this!) and an additional 30 minutes to get our orders taken. Under the current circumstances with short-staffing across the board, I would typically take a generous approach, however there was no shortage of waiters and waitresses, in fact, there were many but they were all grouped by the bar GOSSIPING. When we asked to speak with the manager two separate times, they would send a different person over that said they would "go find someone, " but left us, once again, parched and frustrated.
My next experience was take-out because I never wanted as poor of service as I had the last time. They messed my order up twice and refused to refund me when I decided against going back to the restaurant for the 2nd time to pick it up.
The small ceasar salad I got before my meal was really good. Everything else was mediocre. Cheap chicken, undercooked pasta, watery sauce, terrible wait service. Everyone in my party who ordered pizza was happy though so if you have to go here, stick with that part of the menu only.
We absolutely love Marsala’s! It is our go to for quality, delicious, and authenticity Sicilian food in the area. Their pizza is amazing - our favorites are the Margherita, Pesto Chicken, and White Pie. Some of our favorite meals are: Pasta with Pesto, Lobster Ravioli, and Meatball appetizer (that comes with fresh mozzarella!). My personal favorite is the Eggplant parmigiana. I get this everywhere we go and Marsala’s has the best I’ve ever tried. Our kiddos love the spaghetti and meatballs and the cheese ravioli. As an added bonus, this is a family run ristorante and the servers are all awesome.
This restaurant is a must if you are in Estero. Me and my friends make it a mission to come here every Tuesday, and that is because of the great food and service. Menu items like the buffalo calamari, vodka pizza, and the veal parmigiana are incredible dishes that I would recommend to everybody I see. The owner and the staff are incredible people, and that is because the restaurant is centered around family. Many of the staff are related under the Marsala name. Overall this small family-centered restaurant is something special that you won't find in a lot of places. Give this place a shot if you haven't.
Dined in and ordered pizza. They brought it in a reasonable time but it was made wrong. Had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the right pizza. Server and food were good but food took too long.
Was seated very long wait to order. Ordered spagetti and meatballs was very unimpressed.
My friend ordered penne with meat sauce which was very good also chicken piccata which was very bland.
Overall was unimpressed
This pizza place is solid. The staff are generally patient and seem to handle things well when busy.
Also a tip for current FGCU students. You can get a discounted pizza here just remember to bring your student ID. When you order you can ask for the FGCU pizza. I just tried this yesterday and it was still valid as of 11/28/2021.
You can order to go or you can eat in the restaurant. This location is pretty popular among Estero/Fort Myers locals so keep peak hours in mind.
It'd located in the Publix plaza on the complete opposite side from McDonald's.
My order was $14 for the FGCU pizza which appears to be equivalent to a large pizza size from someplace like Pizza Hut.
Friendly family-run place. Nancy, the daughter of the original owner, who waited on us, could not be nicer. Meatballs are delicious. As in many restaurants these days, there were hiccups in the service. My oder of ziti with meat sauce first came out as gnocchi. On second try, it arrived as penne rigate with very little meat in the sauce, and I just figured, close enough, and enjoyed it. The tomato sauce is simple with a bright tomato taste. Not a slow-cooked ragu. What I ate seemed under-seasoned. Wine service is not sophisticated. Wine glasses are cheap and not clean. Nancy took them back and wiped them out which only helped a little. Settled for that. As in many places, the foil was not removed from the lip of the bottle; so, the wine is poured over a surface that has come into contact with many hands and who knows what else. Family who took us there love the place after having gone several times. A good buy for simple Italian food in a friendly atmosphere. My preference on going out is for something a little more upscale.
Zero value. Ok food. Pizza is usually good. I was told it would take an hour for my pick up order, when I got there my pizza was cold and my salad was completely wilted. $5 for a miserable and tiny side salad is absurd. I’ve been going to Marsala’s for almost 2 decades. The current state of Marsala’s makes me sad. Severely overpriced, mediocre food and a disappointing experience.
My family likes going here only because it’s close to our house but I’ve never personally had a good experience with the food here. It never tastes that good, the staff is usually kinda rude/ignores you, they are constantly super busy aka can’t handle their orders, the prices are ridiculous for what it is, and it’s pretty dirty in there honestly. Writing this review because I’m officially never eating here again since my boyfriend ordered the chicken alfredo and the chicken wasn’t cooked properly and got him sick. His stomach was messed up. He didn’t eat anything else that could have caused him to get sick and chicken is one of those things that make you sick if you mess it up. Obviously things happen but seeing as it’s one “little” problem after the next, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Domino's is right across the way just go there for pizza.
Such great chicken marsala! I got spinach as my side instead of pasta.wow it was awesome! Love this place! Owner is the best!
Pepperoni in Veggie pizza? Ordered penne pasta as side but got spaghetti.
Clearly shows how diligent these people are and clearly no one is checking what they r delivering.
Never coming back again. So disappointed and frustrated
