Massage Envy - Sarasota-Midtown

My first experience at Massage Envy Midtown was not the best. The therapist that was recommended did more stretching than actual massage despite my feedback. Second visit was a charm. Other than the front desk staff changing my appointment time without informing me, the therapist Iris was pure bliss. I am a member and travel all over the country to ME locations. This makes it challenging to find someone "good". I've had a few here and there but Iris is a true therapist who listened to what I was asking for and delivered. Typically I go once a month but it was so amazing that I booked again quickly.

I was a bit surprised at the laid back COVID precautions. Other locations (in other states) are asking you to wait in your car, call when arriving and you go straight in with your therapist without sitting in the waiting room.

After 4 years getting fantastic massages, my husband and my massage therapist left. We went inactive. I had 2 hours in my reserves, so I used 11/2 hour horrible massage. Caused inflammation in my back. Needless to
Say they charged me $165 which was supposed to be no charge then they charged me a monthly fee after that a $55 on an in active account! So, I went in and spoke to the manager and closed my accounts! The company reimbursed $220.00. Done, right? Nope I just had $55.00 taken out of my bank account, AGAIN. Now this is a closed account? !? !? !?

Every aspect of my visit was exceptional at Massage Envy - Sarasota Midtown. I'll start with booking an appointment. I got off work early and was curious if I could be worked in. They had an appointment for me within the hour.
Fantastic! I was able to sign a COVID-19 form easily from my phone prior to my visit. My massage was with Brennan, who addressed my chief concern 100%. My massage was not only relaxing and comfortable, but therapeutic and reparative. My work puts immense strain on my body and I haven't recieved a massage since before COVID-19. I had been experiencing symptoms of a pinched nerve that was causing tension headaches, poor circulation, numbness and pain to say the least. He offered and wrote down stretching techniques, instructional videos and massage tools that I could use at home to maintain my self care. I woke up this morning with such relieved pain. I'm so glad I was able to be booked and treated so quickly and so well. I highly recommend this location to anyone in pain or just in need of a quality massage. I am very happy and commend the above and beyond service that was provided.

Horrible service.cancelled our massage twice in two days and kept messing up the services we were getting. They cared nothing about canceling and made no attempt to amend it. Manger sucked and sounded like a uneducated kid.

Good massages. After 2 years I had 9+ sessions left. I stopped my membership and began using my extra sessions. No one told me I had 2 months to use up my remainder. I should have read more of the "fine print". Multiply 7 x 60, and I'm out of pocket. Multiply that by many people, and you can see why they don't readily advise clients to use up remaining time- they keep the $. A shady lot, these owners.

Easy to get to location. Plenty free parking. Convenient next door to Panera's for snacks on way out. Efficient counter staff. Professional massage staff.

Horrible experience! I love going through Groupon and getting a good massage through a therapist at a chiropractors office.

Had a 90-minite facial at Midtown Sarasota location with Dawn. Retinol and seaweed. What a treat! Dawn is friendly, warm and adept at her craft. Great massages of hands, neck, arms. So relaxed, I wanted to call an Uber to drive me home and carry me into the house. I've had many facials; Dawn was among the top three.

Out of all the Massage Envy's in the Sarasota area this is the one that I would pick. I went to the one on University and I will never return to that establishment.

I have had many massages over the years, but never have i experienced love through a massage therapist's touch. It was a spiritual experience.

If I could leave zero stars I would, but I had to leave at least one star for a terrible business. Employees is racist and treats employees and guests/ members terribly. Heard manager there treats everyone like poop. Especiallly with what is in the news right now DO NOT GO THERE Terrible establishment and will take your money and treat you awful.

I've had a lot of massages all over the country over the last 9 years due to a serious injury. I love this place. I'm a real client taking the time to post bevause i saw the complaints about the actual massage time frame. FYI: Any place you book for an hour gives you only 45 minutes of actual massage. The other 15 is invested in prepping and closing out the session. For the $40- $60 bucks charged, that's a great deal! But I prefer to book 90 minutes at a time. The extra $20 is well worth it. Scheduleing was easy but overall not great service. Don't expect more than 45 to 50 minutes for a 1 hour massage. Would not recommend this place

Been a member for 5+ years. Had to cancel an appotiment due to an emergency at work since we own our business and we’re the only ones able to fix a mechanical problem. Even though they were able to immediately fill our spots (we tried to go shortly after) they still charged us. Terrible business practice. We will be canceling our membership and going elsewhere!

Can't get a better massage in a better environment for the price. I have had many different therpists, and all have been really good. I've been going for years and have loved every minute of it.

DO NOT GO THERE. Looks nice but it is not as promised. They promise 60 minutes but most of the time I received 42 to 45 minutes. Look rotation of people that work there which matches the gangster call that I got from Pete the owner.

Every time you get used to work with someone they quit to work for a better place. They get only $15 of your $50. No wonder they quit normally after less than 50 minutes.

Everyone should now: the workers of Massage Envy really performing the massge are getting only $15 per hour and are not get paid for "no show". No wonder the turn over of worker is so high.

I've had good massages and bad massages. Like any massage envy or massage place in general you have to try a lot of different masseuses until you find the right one for you. I did find a masseuse that is very skilled and was very satisfied with my last massage

My collegue was threatened by Pete and Eric for "trouble" if he complaints about Massage Envy. This place is bad
