Mater Lakes Academy Middle/High School, Hialeah FL

Great school in my opinion. Awesome food, nice kids, and nice teachers. Im a student there so im able to say things about it. Good teachers and staff. All those bad reviews are nonsense. Saying the school is bad from personal experience is ok but saying its bad for no reason is complete mockery. I have liked this school so far.

The school is really good but they hire anyone like for example there’s this reading teacher that goes by the name (Mrs, Emily) and my daughter has told me she can’t even control the class and people are allowed to stand up be rude to other students and let them say rude and inappropriate things to eachother my daughter one time got offended by a student and Mrs. Emily didn’t do anything about it like mater lakes please do better.

Despite the horrible shootings in our country! Suspending a child for 10 days because of what he posted on Social media is in my eyes the wrong approach! And I quote as of WSVN:
“I suspended him for 10 days. Ten days because he was wearing our shirt. I don’t know about other schools, but at this school you don’t joke around. You don’t say that, ” said Rovirosa.

First of, that's against the 1st amendment no matter the subject!
i repeat "You don't say that" that was your words!

Secondly, suspension is an easy way out, isn't it?
How about consulting the parents, and make preparations to seek professional help? Talk to the kid, find out what's the cause of it.

I am sick to my stomach how schools have the right to suspend a minor or even expel from school. That should be against the law!
Children should have the right for education and it should be enforced.
And problems need to be dealt with not send home!

This school is pretty good the food is good. The bathroom are dirty (like in every school) but the teachers I had are pretty nice and the kids I’ve meet are pretty cool but a little weird.

Had an amazing highschool experience. I can’t necessarily think of any major flaw of the school!

My son has been going to this school for the past 3 year, and so far it has been great. All teachers are great and during this pandemic they have been very very informative and organized with everything, pick up of books or iPad. I’m just very happy and grateful with all their work!

MLA is a top school academically and socially. It has more opportunities than any other. More clubs, sports and events. It provides the structure of a well disciplined and caring environment. It has a curriculum for any learning level. You can come out with college credits or an Associates degrees, or just a regular HS degree. The principal is all about the well being of the students and if I could give it 6 stars, I would. Both my children are MLA graduates and went there for 7 years. It’s the best from a private and public school put together. I’m extremely pleased with the education and opportunities that my kids received at such fine institution.

This school is the best. I’m a STUDENT here and this school is one the best schools I’ve ever been to. The teachers are very understanding. The best thing is that it is my first year and all students staff and others treat me good and make me feel good. The teachers really make me understand the lesson and it is just the best school ever!

You should definitely bring your child to this school ️️️ Ohhh also they are very careful with the COVID-19 overall such a good school.

The school is acknowledging that they are failing in every single thing but yet they copy and paste the same thing when someone gives a bad review, Rovi please be more considerate, and hear me and my friends out, I’m trying to make change by posting reviews, me and my friends are trying to make a change but the school doesn’t care, please acknowledge us and make change
