Good place to live if and when you finally get Mattemy to repair all of the new home discrepancies.still waiting after 6 months.

We purchased our home here a few years ago. No regrets. For the most part we are very happy with our home and neighborhood. The neighbors can’t be beat. Simply amazing!
My lower score is because of the problems that newer home buyers are running into. The quality of workmanship has seemed to have diminished. I do realize it depends on the trades doing the work. It is usually the same people who also work on the more upscale or affluent homes. It’s who the builder can get at the time the work needs to be done, and how much the builder is willing to pay. So it doesn’t matter which builder you use.

Would I buy another Mattamy home? Yes, I believe I would!

We visited the sales office. Vicki was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. We saw the models and were very impressed. My son bought a home here and we are looking forward to a great experience.

Stop by when you're around the downtown wellen park area. The staff is super friendly, and you can check out the model homes before any Braves game.

We closed on our house in December 2019. We own the coastal sea glass villa and love the spaciousness and layout. It’s perfect for us. After visiting several communities in the area, we chose Mattamy because of the different styles, elevations and colors available. Every house is different from the others. We love the size of the community - making it a close knit place to live. We also love the pool, beautiful club house and amenities. We’re also excited about living so close to Wellen Park is an added bonus. We can’t wait to take advantage of all the happenings.
We stayed in our villa when Hurricane Ian hit in September 2022 and felt very safe. We only had some water coming through the flaps on the roof and the community as a whole, sustained minimal damage -

I love mattamy! I am glad we purchased a house here because we have nice neighbors and a lot of events and activities at the club house. I use gym, club house and swimming pool a lot. They are clean and beautiful. It has been more than 1 year to live here, and I see they take care of 1 year warranty for us and we are very satisfied with it.

When we initially bought our home in 2019 we were thrilled with our new home. However, as time progressed we began to see the problems. We began to make a list of the items that needed to be addressed and even hired a professional home inspector at our 12 year mark as we were reassured that we could have certain items repaired at that time.

Sadly COVID made a national appearance in 2020 and after we had our inspection, there were vendors/contractors who chose not to enter our home until they felt safe to do so months later. There were many appts made and many "no shows" as well.

We have always been detailed record keepers and detailed photo takers. I keep a detailed calendar. I have also been excellent with communication with Mattamy and their warranty dept. On many occasions, as stated above, their vendors would schedule appts or the warranty advisor would set up appts on their behalf, and they would not show up. I have had an electrician vendor show up with the wrong home plan (for Dominica 2) and promise to return with the correct ones (for Dominica I), never to contact me again. When brought to Brett's attention, he ignored me.

My floor tiles & bath tile, done by Spraggins in 2019 have multiple issues including multiple cracks through the floor and deeply pitted grout. The master shower had poorly installed tiles with missing/falling out grout. The second Shower/tub has sloppy tiles/grout. Mattamy knew of the Spraggins problem because they had to do extensive repairs in phase 1 because of Spraggins negligence. However they allowed them to do our house and argued with us on the repairs.
Interestingly enough, Spraggins was gone from the community right after building our house as we were told by our builder, Paul. Mattamy's choice.

All we asked for was the items on our 1-year professional inspection list and our list to be repaired. Due to complications, delays, vendor employee hiring/firing, no-shows, schedules, screw ups, etc it didn't get finished.

The last communication from Brett was that the new floor vendor would repair the floor cracks and spend a total of 1-hr of repairs on the deep grout pits and other grout items (Initially this was deemed to be a 2-3 day job before all Mattamy's delays and shenanigans).
My answer was "no", that wasn't reasonable. I was honestly disgusted that Mattamy would build us a great home, contract with a Tile Company and not honor that work with the homeowner. Excuse me, but nowhere in my mortgage papers does it state that I purchased inferior telework. I did NOT receive a discount for inferior tilework. We would like the full value of what we paid for.

The next time we spoke he got very short with me and said he would speak with whomever is over everything now and that she will probably not approve anything.
I never heard back.

Tile and grout never got repaired.
Kitchen lights were set incorrectly. Electrician never returned. I will have to pay THOUSANDS to have above corrected!

My father was a home builder. Please do not mistake, I know clearly what I am talking about. From my very earliest memory, I know what a quality home should be.

Visited Renaissance wit my broker to check out model homes for our clients. I was very pleased with what I saw. Im sure I will recommend it to my future buyers:)
