The Levy Learning Center and MaxScholar program took my daughter from being a non-reader to a fluent reader! Thanks to their outstanding resources and support, she has significantly improved her reading, writing, and spelling skills. This program is a valuable asset for individuals dealing with reading challenges and dyslexia, with the added convenience of virtual classes.

I used the max scholar program for my dyslexic daughter who has and processing disorders. She was able to start from not knowing the letters, or being able to associate a letter with a sound to being able to read. I was amazed at how much it was able to understand what needed repeating and drilling.

All 3 of my children are using the MaxScholar program and they are enjoying how much fun and how easy the program is to use. It is especially helping them with their writing, organizational skills, and vocabulary. Thank you so much Dr. Levy!

I took the Orton Gillingham's training with MaxScholar and it was super useful! Orton-Gillingham instruction takes a step-by-step approach, starting with the basic elements of language such as phonics and language structure. It gradually incorporates reading, spelling, and writing skills, ensuring that all aspects of literacy are integrated. This is a great approach as it gives us, teachers, the chance to give feedback to our students immediately which helps us to get an insight on their progress and keeps our students motivated as they can tell they're improving.

This platform not only teaches students how to read but it also provides them with many activities on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing. The Maxscholar reading program is everything I have ever needed in my classroom! The program works. My students are making great gains and becoming confident readers. I wish I had this program 16 years ago. Maxscholar allows me to easily assess and explicitly teach my students at their individual ability levels. The online assessment is able to specifically show me what my students still need to learn in order to become successful readers. The Maxscholar reading program does not stop there. The online teacher resources give me access to all the materials needed to develop great explicit and systematic lesson plans for all my students individual needs. I love how Maxscholar provides me with a detailed guide to help me develop great small group reading lessons. The students get to practice explicit systematic reading lessons on their level with me in a small group setting, next they get to practice the same skills independently on the computer. The students can practice until they reach mastery! All the scores are recorded on the teacher dashboard. The students love to work on the Maxscholar computer program. I can see their confidence grow as they continue to master new skills. The third great resource is the students individual workbooks. Each student has a opportunity to practice their skills in the student workbook. When you utilize all three together it allows your classroom to flow smoothly while you have an opportunity to teach explicit instruction in a small group setting. I wish I had this program 16 years ago. My students are becoming confident independent readers.

I recently finished my training with MaxScholar. I had a wonderful experience. I learned a great deal from the instructors and had the convenience of being online. They were always available to answer questions and take time to address any issues. Also, the student I worked with responded well to the systematic approach that Orton Gillingham provides and the consistent review of concepts using the MaxScholar software. This is a huge benefit. I recommend MaxScholar to anyone looking to gain their Orton Gillingham certification.

I took the MaxScholar training last summer (2022). I plan on receiving my certification this upcoming fall. I have used this program religiously during my small group and one on one sessions with students this year. Everything about this program is wonderful. The monthly training webinars were informative and helpful with Dr. Massey. Dr. Massey shared wonderful resources to use with students and also always answered any emails I sent her when I had questions. Dr. Deborah Levy always returns my calls whenever I need to speak to her about ordering material or questions I have about my certification. I have used other multisensory programs in the past. MaxScholar is the best because it has computer software, workbooks and teacher guides. I have strengthened my teaching in syllabication this year. MaxScholar addresses reading comprehension as well as phonics and fluency. My students have made immense growth from this program. One student advanced six reading levels since September. I plan to continue to use this multisensory phonics program next school year.

I have been using the MaxScholar workbooks to coincide with the MaxScholar software program. The workbooks follow along with the scope and sequence and are a great way to reinforce skills learned. The workbooks can be used as a pre teaching and post teaching form of assessment, as well as for homework. It is a great way to show student growth and learning!

Throughout this certification process, I have come to gain a deeper understanding of the science of reading and its impact on student performance. Learning about the Orton Gillingham process and truly diving into lesson construction and implementation gave me the ability to fully engage in using the materials to help my student increase reading performance. Looking back at the work completed by myself and my student, it is obvious that we have both shown progress and are both more comfortable with the process. My student’s reading fluency has steadily improved. Her ability to utilize the strategies became more natural and she began to work more independently as time went on. From lesson work and my informal observations, her overall reading progress was remarkable. I specifically saw significant performance in her phonics skills and reading comprehension.
The software component of Orton Gillingham was extremely helpful with regards to navigating extra materials, lesson planning, and learning more about what it is all about. It was motivating for me and my student to track her progress throughout the process. She loved seeing her scores and how much time she spent on the software. This helped to keep her motivated in meeting her hour requirements because she got to see how much she already accomplished and was able to select sections of the program that she wanted extra practice in, giving her a sense of control of her learning. After working on a lesson with me being the direct instructor, she was able to jump on the software and engage in supplemental learning activities that applied what we had just learned. This was a huge contributing factor to her success! As she engaged in the software activities, she was able to show even more progress and independence as she was given the opportunity to master the skills taught. Having the workbooks also provided excellent supplemental activities. The direct instruction in the lessons were great, but I cannot imagine not having these extra activities to help reinforce skills learned. They go together like any lesson any educator teaches. All teachers provide direct instruction and then allow their students opportunities to engage in guided practice activities, followed by independent practice. It is in these moments that students show their true growth as they are able to practice what they learned while having some guidance from the teacher and then apply what they learned to demonstrate mastery of the skill in their independent practice. The workbooks and software truly allowed for these natural, necessary learning opportunities.
Having had the opportunity to work with our trained instructor, Diana Pettis, I am grateful to her for all her help! She was readily available for any and all questions to be answered. She provided multiple opportunities for us to meet with her to ask any questions or clear up any confusions along the way. She specifically met with me one on one to go over a lesson I was struggling with constructing and shared many resources with me to help me navigate through this lesson. She provided a great deal of resources to Hicksville and was truly a wonderful instructor. She recorded all meetings and provided notes from each meeting so we could look back on things discussed and learned during our training sessions.
Overall, this certification process has been a wonderful experience for me and I am grateful to Orton Gillingham for this opportunity. I cannot wait to take my certification and begin utilizing it to change the world of reading instruction and enhance student reading performance!

This program is phenomenal. I have used Max Scholar with my students over the past year and very recently completed my certification. This program is an excellent resource in guiding teachers in how to teach and support students in their foundational reading needs. It has given me confidence in my teaching of - phonological awareness, syllabication, spelling rules, reading, and progress monitoring of reading fluency. The online and guided lessons are differentiated to meet all types of learners needs through kinetic, visual, auditory activities. This helps to keep students engaged throughout lessons. I love also how data is stored and you can add in student progress. My students have grown a lot from Max Scholar and I will continue to use it. I highly recommend the program, especially to all teachers in elementary education.

I have gained a lot of knowledge from the MaxScholar Level 1 Certification program. I have been able to successfully implement it in my classroom, and it has helped improve my students' reading skills. The training was consistent, which allowed me to get the hang of teaching the lessons.

I was also able to use the workbooks and software as I completed my certification. Each of them fit along well with the material I was teaching, so I was able to use them side-by-side with my instruction.

Max Scholar's literacy program, which is based on Orton-Gillingham's personalized, explicit, multi-sensory approach to instructing reading, has been a highly effective method for teaching literacy skills to the students in my elementary reading intervention program. Through this program, I learned to provide direct instruction of systematic phonics with audio, visual and kinesthetic components, which helped me engage my students in a variety of different ways. I was ecstatic to see that the data reflected student growth, indicating that the program was indeed making a positive impact on their literacy development. Overall, I feel that the Max Scholar's program is an invaluable tool for educators who are looking for a comprehensive approach to teaching literacy skills that takes into account the diverse learning needs of their students.

As a teacher, I feel that the workbooks Maxscholar provided have helped me a lot in the classroom environment; not only are they really informative, but also very didactic. I think that these resources helped me to be more organized, I would 100 percent recommend it!

My daughter really enjoyed the MaxScholar online program. It was well planned and layed out, easy for her to follow. The work load (homework, test) was just enough, so she could finish everything with enough time, learn about the topics and not feel over loaded and rushed.
