I had a positive experience visiting MedExpress, everyone was very professional and was seen quickly. My only complaint is that a mask was required. Even my Dr. In California no longer require a mask.

I presented with back pain and abdominal pain. They told me up front it would be a 2 hour wait and I said OK. I was taken back after 2.30 hours.an intake was done, with vitals taken. I waited in a room for the NP. She was with me for about 3-4 minutes and told me they could not help with abdominal pain as they had no diagnostic equipment and I needed to go to the ER. I should have been told this as soon as I checked in. This cost me a $40 copay. I did not have the energy to fight the copay and just left. I will say the NP was very efficient and pleasant in the short time I was with her and the intake person was personable also. It was very hard to hear the check in staff - behind plexiglass and sitting far back - you had to yell your info.they are very understaffed. The NP said Sat and SUn best days to go there - go figure!

The facility was clean. It was a bit warm in the lobby and room I waited to the PA in. I know they were extremely busy but they were kind and patient.

I just needed to see a nurse to get a quick shot. Only a five-minute procedure. There was a terrible waiting time. I waited over two hours. I kept watching people walk in and see the provider and nurse before me. They didn't have an appointment and they were not waiting in the parking lot in their vehicle. I asked the check-in desk why it was taking so long, and why other people that waited less time were being seen before me. She didn't even bring it to the nurses' attention. Then one of the nurses in the back was very rude to me and acted very unprofessional when I expressed my issue in a polite way.

I was seen at last October because I had painful blisters down my right side. I expressed my concern that I thought I had shingles or something contagious. The Nurse Practitioner that I saw assured me that it was a simple yeast infection and prescribed a cream. After a day of using the cream the pain was worst and my skin was burning. I was taken to the ER. There I was diagnosed with a bad case of shingles and advised not to use the cream. The burning from the cream and treatment for something I did not have left me with permanent scars. I made a complaint with MedExpress and was told someone would contact me. No one ever reached out. When I followed up not only was I lied to and told that someone had already contacted me (which they did not), but I was also told that my complaint was not honored and I would still be charged for the visit. No one ever apologized for misdiagnosing me or for the pain I had to endure from using a cream on something that the cream was not meant for. The manager Katy at the location in Port Charlotte where I was seen reported that we spoke and she explained everything to me. We have never spoken. Nothing was discussed with me. I was advised by a customer service rep that MedExpress does not have a corporate so I could not talk to anyone higher than a customer service supervisor or the local manager. So much for good medical treatment.

Came in for an employment drug test and sat for three hours waiting. Was told at the hour an half mark 30 more mins. Worst service and staff just sitting behind desks.

Not a great experience with the reception. They really are on a wrong place, don’t know their duties. Double check with them when you are there.

I went in for a pre employment drug test 1: 45pm. I expected a wait of maybe 10-20 minutes. I was told I’m 3rd in line and it would be about 45min to a hour. When 3pm came around I went to check in to see what was going on. I was told there was still 2 people in front of me. After expressing that I’m very disappointed with the service I was called in 20 minutes later. So 2hours n 45 minutes to take a pre employment drug test. Unacceptable. Don’t waste your time here.

This place does not care about their patients. You have to wait 2 hours in the waiting room. Then another hour in a room. The front desk is so rude. It doesn't matter if you're there at 8: 00 when they open
You wait and wait. When you look around everyone is just standing around talking.

The nurse Nicole, radiologist Sean, and Dr. Michael were all so kind helping me out in an emergency situation. I hope I don't need to go back anytime soon, but if I need to, I know that I will be in good hands! Thank you guys!

My first visit at this establishment for a pre-employment screening.

Positive: staff was very friendly & kind.

Negatives: I arrived 15 minutes before they opened (4th in line). Waited my turn & about 14 people went in before me (even though I was told “first come first serve”), a total of 85 minutes in the waiting room before somebody came for me. Urine test, bloodwork & physical took another 40 minutes! Needless to say, 2 hours of my life I will never get back again.

I hope they will be more organized next time?

I was visiting friends and needed stitches removed. The checkin process was easy. The wait was relatively short. My vitals were checked by a very competent nurse. Dominique was very prompt in removing the stitches. Her "bedside manner" was professional and put me at ease. Total time was about 40 minutes. Based on my experience, I highly recommend MedExpress.

Went in at 830am for TMJ pain. Waited 2 hours. The doctor was friendly as well as the nurse. My issue at hand was, they never called in my medications to the pharmacy. I waited two days after not hearing back from the pharmacy they were suppose to call it into. The pharmacy stated they have nothing here for me. I called urgent care and the receptionist was extremely rude stating “ we didn’t have internet when you were here. ” I’m sorry but that does not justify not calling my medications in. Such an unprofessional move and i will not be using them again nor be recommending them to anyone. Who just doesn’t call a patients medications in? Especially a patient in pain? Write it down or something. Ridiculous excuse.

Went to the one in pt Charlotte and the lady in the office was rude and a jerk, when to the one in North Port and everyone was very nice and professional.

My first experience with MedExpress and I was very happy with the experience, everyone was very friendly and very professional. The P. A.who took care of me was awesome, dianosed my problem, prescribed my medicine and was very friendly and professional. I will use MedExpress again

I have had nothing but good experiences with MedExpress. Recently put a hole in my hand on a Saturday evening. Called to see if they would be able to take me before close since it was already 5: 30. Receptionist was very helpful. They got me right in, cleaned the wound, stitched my hand and gave me a tetanus shot. In and out in about an hour. Everyone was very kind and friendly throughout the visit.

Terrible service. They didn't know how to send a prescription to the pharmacy. I reached out to them multiple times about the issue and their answer they don't have provider to send it because he is busy. It's been a day passed now and I don't have a prescription.
