Mei Asian China Buffet, Orlando FL

This Asian restaurant located on International Drive is a little set back from the main road.
It doesn't do a wok and the number of varieties of dishes is very limited in my opinion.
The welcome was not warm and the place requires a small renovation.
I don't recommend.

Some foods were hard and tough, like it had been there for a few hours. They added 18% gratuity automatically for a waitress I saw once. Overall, food wasn't worth the $28 I was charged.

Eat what you want. Remember that to the price they mention you must add taxes and also the service, which is 15%

The only thing I see people complain about this place is the 15% tip included in the bill. BUT I don't mind. They deserve it. I have tried many different buffet before and I find this is one of my favorite one. The taste are more flavourful. The quality of the food is excellent. They don't just make your food too salty while most buffet do that. I can see they put alot of care into it. Will come back!

A large choice of dishes, the flavors are good without being great, too bad the dishes are often lukewarm, almost cold, but there is a microwave. The staff is attentive in filling the glasses. Good value for money for Orlando.

I got violently sick after eating here. Severe abdominal pain, and diarrhea for two days straight. I will be making a report to the county regarding their food safety. Eat there at your own risk. I paid $70 to get sick.

I’ve never spent $140.25 in a 5 start restaurant and yet this is what my husband spent at this dirty place. I went to this restaurant for the first time ever with my family. The first problem was that they kept repeating 4,4,4 and I told them we are 5 but now I know they were arguing about my kids hight then the English barrier. I couldn’t understand them but I thought… it’s ok I guess. BOY! I was wrong! When we got the receipt my husband looked at me surprised But I didn’t know why and didn’t tell me what was wrong. In the car I took out the receipt and it didn’t add up. The buffet is $19.95 per adults and $9.95 for kids. People please! Check your receipts before paying. My kids was charged as adults. Ok we paid, but I was curious and I called and asked how much is the buffet and was told $19.95 and I told the person on the phone… you charged my kids as adults? She responded o because we measure and I’m like…? You measure? My kids told me at the moment… no one measured me mommy. When did you measure anyone I asked? I’m 5”3’ you can see the difference from a distance. Anyways look at your receipt before paying because the tip is already included in your bill as well and then in your receipt it asks for additional tip $_ jajajaja
The food was bad! McDonald’s would have been a much better option then this!
Now I understand why this place was empty. The service is bad and they will take the maximum out of your pocket. With so many good restaurants around DON’T go to this one. And I never leave bad reviews but today I had to only because the way the person was talking to me over the phone. I was just asking questions and she went off on me. I have no time to argue with that kind of people. Beware if you kid is 7 and measure 5”… that’s an adult for them. But the math… lady! It didn’t add up. But! Enjoy it and God bless.
I should’ve listen to my husband to eat at a 5 star restaurant.

I want to add to my comment that the very next day my kids, my husband, and I had nausea and diarrhea and it’s not a coincidence.

The food is terrible, the place is dirty, bad service and they charge too much, they adulterate the value of the price of things and charge 18% included and then they ask for an extra tip and if you complain about everything bad, they ask you not to return

Do not waste your time and money, food cold, guy at the register was nasty, after I paid I went to the restroom on my way out asked me again for the ticket, never said thanks or sorry

For years I have been eating at this restaurant, last time however it seems they change owner/administrator. Cleaning of carpets and floors was poor, menu items were cool and greasy, the waiter served hot tea in paper cups- more appropriate for cold beverages (pose a risk for burns) Hope they get back to the old glory.

I feel a little disappointed, Had to pay extra for eating crab legs, got charged for gratitude and we where only a group of 3, plus tip.

NEVER AGAIN! Food was mediocre and service was poor! The staff was rude. The table that sat us at was extremely dirty and when we attempted to tell the waitress she replied "yea sit there" We moved ourselves to another table and we could tell that the staff had an issue with it. Avoid this restaurant! Do not waste your time or money!

If we compare quality and price it's fine, a very good option, cheap, a nice place. Something I don't like is queuing for the bathroom, the place is too big to have only one bathroom.

Tasty food. Has some vegetables. Good quality food, even has crab. The tea also wasn’t bad. Recommended

All kinds of food, something for everyone! Sushi, Curry Chicken, Salmon, and all the main Chinese food dishes you would expect. Even hand scooped ice cream at the end! They had these garbanzo bean crunchies that were out of this world!

Don’t eat there. It’s the worst food and dirtiest Chinese buffet ever. Not only not a lot of options but the place is so dirty, the food taste like dirt. NEVER AGAIN.
