Serviceman came, looked at the microwave and left. Barely spoke to my wife at all. When I called the office they next day they say that the report says that the microwave was 'dirty and greasy' which is an absolute lie. It was absolutely spotless, and always is. And they claim that he said it works fine - which it does not since he never even evaluated it. He entered the front door at 10: 45 and left exactly 5 minutes later (security camera verified). You have to run a cook cycle to know that it does not chime when the cycle is finished, which was the primary complaint on this $600 microwave. When I called the office they said he took pictures and they have a report. I asked for a copy of them - and they refused and said I have to get it from the insurance company. I called Lowe’s and they said the report they got did not include pictures I requested a call back from Mel, the owner. Let's see how long that takes.

Technician arrived on time and diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator. Ordered parts and returned and installed new parts. Would call this company again.

I don’t leave reviews often but Mel went above and beyond to help when my warranty company Assurant was trying to deny my claims. He made several calls when he didn’t have to to get things approved. Mel and his staff were always very friendly and accommodating. Showed up when they said they were going to and sent someone else out when my warranty company didn’t want to pay. He was able to end up proving my washer was not repairable and got me a full refund to replace my washer. Without him making those extra calls, I would have had to pay out-of-pocket to replace my washer. I’m very thankful and will recommend and use him in the future.

I don't know where all these bad reviews are coming from, but I am totally happy with the repairs.
Brian diagnosed the problem quickly and when the parts came in, he was here the next day.
I watched him do the repair and he knows what he is doing.when I called to check on the parts, the lady was polite and she gave me the information I needed.
Everything she said came true and my washer is fixed.

Now I know why the reviews are so bad.
The day after my washer was repaired, it broke again so I started another claim.

The repair guy came out 10/3, looked at it and said he would order parts.
Two weeks later I called to check on the parts and they said it was repaired on 10/3 - it was not.
The lady on the phone could see no farther than the computer screen telling her it was repaired and could not offer me any help.
Now I am waiting for Lowe's customer service to call me back since the warranty company has no options in their phone system or web site for my problems.

BAD COMPANY. I would not use them, i would rate them -5, if i could, never showed up for schedule time, called 2x to see where they were, no communication, no calls, nothing. Then they said they were here which was a lie, no calks of eta, nothing, then they have the gall to mahe another appt 2 days later, Do yourself a favor, dont use this service

These people literally scammed the warranty company and told them that they came out and did the repair on my mom’s refrigerator. It’s still now a whole entire month later and it’s still not even fixed because the warranty company thought that it was already “fixed “.

STAY AWAY and Don’t waste your time with this company. Used Lowes insurance for a simple fix and this company destroyed our new Fridge Freezer! Took it apart and after two paid visits never followed up and ruined our appliance. I now have to pay for a professional to come out and fix our fridge we know one ever returns calls or comes back out to fix the damage they have done. Stay away from this company as totally incompetent. UPDATE: After all, there visits I had someone else come out and check my Fridge/Freezer to only find out it was just a blocked water filter that needed to be replaced! Again, this company were horrendous and wasted months with no customer service follow up.

Brian with Mel’s appliance did an awesome job! The warranty repairs were diagnosed one day and repaired the next! The tech was very quick to update me by phone prior to arrival and was very professional! Five stars in my book and more than expected! Thank you!

Set up an appointment with the warranty company for my dishwasher repair. The warranty company verified that Mel's Appliance accepted the appointment. Never received any appointment verification from Mel's, they never showed up, never called. Very unprofessional, high would not recommend this company to anyone. Customer Service is the worst, it is no wonder it has so many bad reviews. I will definitely let the warranty company how things went.

Buyer BEWARE! Horrible customer service. They left me in a worst situation then I was originally in, and didn't fix the problem at all. Original worker came out diagnosed the problem the pieces were ordered and then when it came time to fix the issue the next worker came out and said that was not the issue. There was another problem and said it's fixed (not even using the parts that were ordered). Nothing was fixed and they didn't even stay to confirm the issue was fixed. Read the reviews first! Next time I'll be proactive in checking reviews.

My Lowes extended warranty scheduled Mel's to repair my washer. I received an automated call the afternoon prior to confirm my appointment. The technician showed up within the time frame promised. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and returned within a few days to install the parts. The technician was friendly and explained everything in detail. I would use Mel's again for any of my appliance repairs.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and DO NOT use Mel's. My protection plan sent them out to repair my dryer twice now. Both times the repair appointment is set up and they come out only to verify the appliance model number, then leave to order the part and never come back. They are here less than 5 minutes with no attempt to repair or diagnose the problem.

I had a great experience with Mel's and with the technition, G. Banisher. He showed up on time, was very polite and helpful, and did a great job.

The first service call was unsuccessful. The two repairmen left me on Friday afternoon and when I started a load of clothes the washer stopped in middle of cycle. Called Mel’s and they did not answer or respond. Called again Saturday am. No response.
I Called Famous Tate to report bad service. They took notes and also reported to Mel’s. Early Monday Mel’s called with Tuesday appt to come back (meanwhile I have no washer for 10 days.)
Tuesday Bennie (Banisher G) came by and analyzed the problem. He opened up the machine and found a hose that had not been properly connected and had therefore stopped the cycle. He reconnected and ran a cycle to be sure it is working. I give Bennie 5 stars but Mel’s needs to improve their customer service by returning calls quickly. It’s a simple courtesy act to acknowledge a request.

If I could 0 star I would. The absolute worst. First off, you don’t get to schedule the day. They send you voicemails that are pre recorded saying what day they are coming out. Kinda annoying when you have a job. Especially when they call the night before to tell you!
They call saying they are coming out at 8 am and then call at 12 pm saying they are 20 minutes out.
Then he stops taking my calls so my boyfriend had to call. The guy said he will come and then still no showed.
You can’t call the company because the voicemail is always full. Probably from all the customers complaining.
Save money and time and go to a reputable company that actually works with you. Mel’s appliances should be ashamed of the lack of quality customer care.

Excellent service. Tech was helpful and responsive. Ordered parts and notified us when they were in. Service was on time and with little disruption. Would recommend them for your appliance sevice needs.

If i could give a zero star i would.they broke the house dishwasher and used glue to fix it up.had someone else come out to tell us that it was completely trashed.absolutely terrible place.no wonder it has low ratings but lowes has it where we have to go through this terrible company.

We’ve been without our washer for ten days. Bought a warranty through LOWES which is the biggest mistake. As long as they get your money they could care less. Washer went out appliance company came said I don’t have any parts let me clean off the parts. It worked two days an stopped. Advised what the parts were and still haven’t come. Fixing to take this pod to the road and go buy another. STAY AWAY FROM LOWES
