I cannot be more grateful to Jackie and Melissa for their excellent work and support. Mel's Cake and Whatnot make you feel like family. They have the best tips, designs, and prices you can find on the market. My wedding was in Miami, but I live out of state. However, this was never an impediment to creating the cake of my dreams. If you have a special occasion, don't hesitate! You will be in good hands.

Mel and Jackie from Mel’s Cakes and Whatnots are simply amazing! They not only made my wedding cake look stunning, it tasted delicious! Mel gave me everything I asked for and more and I couldn’t believe she designed it as we were having our cake tasting! I knew we had chosen the right cake vendor as soon as we stepped into our own private tasting at her bakery. Both Mel and Jackie made us feel like we had known them for years and knew exactly how to make our wedding cake vision come to life. Thank you so much for your amazing skills and creativity! Everybody was raving about our cake with the unique flavors we had chosen. I cannot wait to eat our cake topper at our one year anniversary!

Love her cakes, she has been doing my son's birthday cake since year 1 and everytime she does an amazing cake for him. The cakes are beautiful even better than what I ask for and they are delicious. Cupcake and cookies are great too! A great variety for cupcakes- my favorite banana and the pumpkin. My sons is chocolate with oreo frosting. Always on time and orders are perfectly deliver or at pick up time. Thank you!

Ever since my aunt did my babyshower cake with them I felt in love. Every year I look forward for each of my kids birthday to have a cake perfectly and deliciously made.

Best cakes in Miami! Amazing customer service and they bring your dreams to reality! Pricing is very reasonable too. They deliver as well which is a huge plus! We will be back very soon!

If I could give more stars I would. I have been going to Mel and her team for years now. She’s the only place I order our cakes from! Every year we have an older child and their minds change constantly and these girls always keep up with the constant changes. I love the flavors of these cakes (my fav is banana and chocolate). Whatever I say of what I might like she takes it and makes it even better than what I was planning in my head! They are the best in town and the best priced for what you want. Don’t go anywhere else you’ll be sorry if you don’t use Mel’s cakes and what nots. Any questions I have they answer them in a timely manner. I adore this company and how friendly they are. Absolutely amazing customer service! Already planning my next cake!

The most amazing place I’ve ever been too. I’ve been ordering from Mel and her team for years and have never been disappointed. She always exceeds my expectations. Nicest staff and amazingly tasting. You won’t be disappointed.

Best cake place in town! I have never been disappointed in the work Mel and Jackie do for our cakes. They are the nicest ladies to work with and they take your ideas to another level! I am so glad I found them 3 years ago. I won’t go anywhere else.

Well let me start with saying this. OMG WHAT A CAKE! I'm really picky with cakes and when I found this shop in Miami (I live in Broward) I was like should I try? Well glad I did because I won't orden from any other place other than Mel's cake. Yes I drive from Broward to Miami because their cakes are worth the drive. Customer service is awesome, never had a problem and I been ordering for about 2 years. I always recommend Mel's cake. You won't be disappointed.

If I can give 0 starts I would. Let’s start off with customer service. First they don’t call you in advanced to remind you of your cake. Not even a day before, no, no, they call you about 30 min before they decide they have to leave to remind you. With any service that you have to pick something up, or have an appt you should receive a call before hand at least the day before, or a text, or even just an email. We are in the year 2018 where even a simple car wash company will remind you though text when your appt is. Now when they called me with only 30 min til they decided they had to leave, as a mother who was very busy trying to get everything ready for her sons bday (as mothers you know how hectic a day like this can be) I told them that I would be over to grab the cake, which wasn’t going to take long, for me to drive over, after a few min later they called again, this time they were very rude. At this point I told them that I was getting everything ready and would be over soon. Now a company that needs to stay open, is a little ridiculous to open on a Saturday for only 3 hours! They called me last min to remind me and expected me to than stop everything in a hurry Bc they had to close at 11: 30am on a Saturday! If they had called a day earlier and explained that they had to leave earlier that day for a delivery I would have prepared my time wisely to help them. But they did not help me at all! As a bakery you should at least have someone at the front desk who will stay there to wait for customers to pick up the cake or even orde a cake. Who has ever heard of a bakery closing at 11: 30am on a Saturday! On top of that SHE was VERY RUDE and HUNG THE PHONE ON MY FACE! She talks back to her customers, yells at them and lacks soooo much professionalism! Also you are paying $130! For a cake and by the way the cake was meant for 35 people and it was very very very small! I can’t believe I paid 130$ that will only serve 15 people! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS BAKERY AS YOU CAN! Far away! DONT BUY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT SOME LADY TO RUIN YOUR DAY AND YOUR SONS BIRTHDAY!

Highly recommend this place for your cakes. I ordered it a bit late but they were kind enough to help us and cake looked amazing and tasted really good.
