Memorial Park reviews
17Such a nice "escape space". This is a waterfront park with large open spaces and lots of green areas for picnicking and running and doggy walking. Really helps take you away from all that city stress.
Next time you're feeling low take a trip to memorial park. With a wide open field, a beautiful statue and a view of the water. A very romantic and well kept park. Great place to bring pets or children, it's a wonderful place to make a memory that's worth remembering.also! This place rocks for birdwatching.
The views from the West Side of Jax never get enough credit. I spent Christmas Day scootn on my Segway. What a blast and reflectively beautiful day.
We stumbled upon this park on our way south. Incredible park with lots of open space and a view of the St. Johns River. A beautiful tribute to those who fought during a World War 1. Those of us living today have no idea what those men endured.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
Sat on empty bench and just people watched. Smiles everywhere. A genuine feel good place to experience!
Great Park to visit after Church on Sunday. Super water views. Young at heart for most folks there. Bring a blanket for a picnic, or a football for a quick game. Dog friendly for sure. Lots of shopping and eateries within walking distance. Did not see a public bathroom and parking was sketchy.
My fav park of all! This is for you, if you want to walk your fur babies, in a safe area, by the river or throw a freesbie. Starbucks and Tijuana flats are across the street also
Beautiful view and is always full of people enjoying the park in various ways. I love coming here to relax and just look around. One of my favorite parks!
I will always love this park. My wife and I have so many years of memories here. I think I took my final photos of this park after hurricane Irma. I used this park for so many photo sessions, important conversations, and meeting up with friends. It’s a beautiful punctuation to the many iterations of Riverside’s five points.
What a beautiful place to enjoy so peace by the river side. The park has an open grassy area, great to toss a Frisbee or football around. There's a path around the park that you can walk/run. There are several restaurants and a Publix grocery store within a short distance so you can grab food to go and have a nice outdoor dining experience. There are benches that line the park and the water's edge to just sit and relax on.
Very nice park to enjoy sun, shade and water views. There are no facilities but it is in the heart of the neighborhood with shopping and dining options.
HAD A WONDERFUL TIME GREAT PLACE. IF YOU DO POKEMON GO THEN IT'S A WONDERFUL PLACE FOR ADVENTURING RATING AND JUST GOOD FUN. NO DOUBT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WHETHER YOU'RE JUST KILLING TIME OR FINDING SOMETHING TO DO.
Great place to go for a stroll. On dry days, bring a blanket to spread out in the open field. You'll see kids playing, photographers doing their thing, couples on a stroll, people fishing. The breeze is lovely and every so often you'll see dolphins in the river. I always enjoy my time here. There are water sources and bowls for the dogs but no bathrooms. Restaurants are in walking distance.
Six acres along St Johns River. A lot of open space. Dog friendly. Beautiful trees and river view. Wide path for waking/running/etc. It just circles the park.
Awesome tribute memorial sculptures and benches. Would be a great place for an outdoor stroll, a moment of peace and quiet, exercising or such.
It was clean - which seems hard to find clean parks in Jax. No covered areas. No faculties on site. No easy parking.
Very nice park so much you can do play soccer, fishing which I love, walking, running, family picnic, or couple picnic, walk your dog that way you get exercise in to so much to do
Great mainstream park with a view of the river. There are always diverse people doing all kinds of interesting stuff. It is really clean with old trees and a large field. I knocked off a star because the concrete rails are broken from the storm and hasn't been repaired.
Update- they fixed the railing. Its very nice!
This park is great, we love going for walks with the dogs here. They just put up a new wall by the river and it really is a great place to just go walk. If you are a pokemon go fan, this is a huge spot to play. Lot of a shaded places to sit on bench’s as well. Right by riverside so you can walk after a nice meal
