WARNING DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE. This insurance will consider your car TOTAL LOSS even with full coverage. Had minor damages from an accident and was considered total loss. This insurance is a complete rip off. They also had our claim mixed with another accident that had nothing to do with our vehicle.
Wow! Can't believe these people. Got rear ended by one of their insured and claimed fraud. The owner never listed her husband as a driver or a household member. So I guess it's small claims court for now!
Do NOT get this insurance company unless you want to be SCAMMED. Their auto pay system does NOT work AT ALL. You can’t get ahold of anyone when needed. If your bill is due on the weekend and they don’t answer before then? You are absolutely screwed because they are closed on the week end and will hit you with a late fee for their own system error. They will upcharge you even if your policy says your insurance decreased. Policy when down to like $300 but due to auto pay not working AND no one wanting to answer the phone, RUDE customer service when I DID get an answer, and MULTIPLE disputes to my bank, AND FEE FOR USING A CREDIT CARD TO PAY FOR MY POLICY, i still ended up paying WAY more than I should’ve. Might as well still pay what it was before they sent mail saying “your policy is cheaper than before”. Lies. They will not help you at all. Just excuse after excuse. In a sense you’re paying for their mistakes and poor service. You can’t even go on their website and make a payment. You literally have to call and speak to a real person for anything to be “close” to correct and paid. Your car isn’t even safe in your own driveway having this kind of insurance.
Read the reviews on this place, basic correspondence is not their strong point. They will refuse to answer phone calls, and if you call repeatedly their ego will make them back end your claim forcing you to wait EVEN LONGER. I have no idea what fool would put his name on this company or hire such imbeciles but if you've been referred here you should 100% ask to be referred somewhere else. It'll seem this is a good company to work with, until your time comes where you understand every review written here. Notice there's no middle ground? It's either 5 stars for very few people or tons of 1 stars that's no coincidence they're just that bad. There's literally a woman who's about to get sued because of mendotas lack of correspondence. Hope this company is exposed for the egotistical fraudsters they are.
If i can give them no star i would. They are terrible and the word doesnt even reach the level how terrible they are. They fraudulently put a claim in my files without asking me or advising me. Terrible customer service. Just the worst i wouldn't suggest or recommend the at all. Just be careful if you are looking or even desperate on looking for an insurance be careful with this insurance.
Made a claim online nearly 4 months ago, spoke to the insurance adjuster about a month ago which she then had me send picture of my vehicle to her email and have no heard back sense and can’t ever get through to any one in any department! Still have a non running vehicle in my driveway that I cannot drive and still have to pay for!
Terrible horrible insurance hard to deal with somebody hit my car and it was a nightmare. Try to deal with this insurance.
Absolutely do not use this insurance or thete sister company Kia advantage out of Tennessee. I can assure u when u have a claim with theses people they Absolutely will claim your car as a total loss and u will be offered pennies for your claim. DONT USE THIS COMPANY OR KIA ADVANTAGE THEY ARE A SCAM AND ONLY THERE TO POCKET YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS. I CAN POST DOCUMENTS TO PROVE THIS. BEWARE SCAM COMPANIES!
Terrible! I was rear-ended by someone covered by Mendota and my car is not drivable and has been sitting in my garage. I have been waiting a month to get a check to take my car into the shop. I haven't been able to get to work for a month. They keep telling me the check is coming but I still haven't received it and I was told I can't get a rental until my car is in the shop in order to be reimbursed.
By far the worst insurance company I’ve ever worked with. Without going into detail I will simply NEVER recommend nor will I be renewing my policy. Zero stars.
I filed a claim for my accident on November 13th after spending more than an hour and 40 minutes on the phone waiting to be answered. They told me that inspector Ryqn was going to call me on Thursday, November 16th to come and inspect my car and the other car involved in the accident. He never called me, I call him more than 5 times a day and he doesn't answer. I leave a message and he doesn't get back. I call Mendota more than 5 times a day, I was on hold for 40 minutes and they didn't answer my calls.they don't get back to me. Me and the other person involved in the accident have been without a car for more than 12 days, unable to work. He calls me saying he's going to sue me. I don't know what else to do. MENDOTA DOES NOT SERVE ITS CUSTOMERS! NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY!
Trust these reviews. Wish I would have seen them before going through Mendota. It's a good thing I tried to pay my bill early to renew, or I would have only had 1 day to find new car insurance since they decided not to let me renew and didn't make that known. The lady on the phone was rude to begin, and then she said the reason is I do "uber delivery", when I have nothing to do with them at all. Not lyft or anything like it!
I got broken into 2 months ago, and they royal screwed me there too. Changed my claim from a glass claim to a vandalism claim because my side mirror was damaged also, yet didn't include that mirror in the estimate? So they paid 0$ because the window itself was a little over the price of my deductible and it wasn't "cost efficient enough for them". If they had included the side mirror the bill would have been over my deductible significantly. I still am saving for a window and a side mirror, driving around with my 2 year old, as a sitting duck. Anyone can get into my car at anytime, and I am at risk of an accident everyday. DO NOT USE MEDOTA!
I never post reviews. Like ever. BUT this company has been absolutely awful to work with. I got rear ended in August by one of thier drivers. They called me the next day and sent a check for repairs quickly. That whole process went pretty smooth. My car was in the shop almost 2 weeks. They told me to get a rental personally, not with the calim and they would reimburse me. I did that. I got my car back in late September. I have not gotten reimbursed for the $1,100 that is sitting on my credit card racking up interest as it is now November 9th! I have called multiple times and gotten excuse after excuse as to why the check hasn't come. A new check with 2 day and tracking was supposed to have been mailed Monday. Today is Thursday and still no check. I can't get through to anyone and I am currently on hold with the claims customer service and no answer. My next phone call will be to a lawyer. Do not use this company.

So far a decent experience have not had them long so can not show 5 stars just yet. They where very respectful and fast on getting my front windshield replaced tho so 5 stars to that.
This car insurance is a scam, every time you’ll speak with a representative you will hear a different story about your policy. Every month always charging you for previous months adding extra to your payments and when you call they make you look like you’re problematic when you are just trying to understand your balance. They are very rude representative and will not try to help you instead they will hang up. This Insurance is disgusting.
