Merrick Seafood Company, Cape Coral FL

Merrick's never disappoints. Three of us went for dinner and we each enjoyed our fish dishes. Top of photo is Picatta Grouper which was declared the favorite of the three. Others are cranberry Grouper and Blackened Mahi Mahi with Mango Citrus. All were excellent. And service was perfect.

The best seafood in Cape Coral! Just there sour dough Bread and garlic butter spread is worth the trip! Everything is fresh and flavors are on point. This place makes me happy!

First time there, buought some grouper, it was delicious and the price is very reasonable. We will definitely be stocking up with there seafoof.

You had to ask for some of the prices of the seafood because it wasn’t marked and some you don’t know what type of fish they were selling. Poor lighting inside the market as well.

Excellent! I forgot to take a picture of my 3 huge King Crab legs because I was too excited to eat them. They were cooked perfectly. Caesar salad had the best dressing. Pistachio encrusted salmon had great flavor and key lime pie was the best anywhere. The chocolate croissant bread pudding was good also. Server Melanie was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations were spot on and she suggested we go inside to look over the market with fresh seafood to take home. Great service!

We went to Merrick Seafood on a recommendation and it was delicious! I love sea scallops and they were cooked to perfection. If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely be returning.

I lived in Florida for 2 years and have since moved back to my home state of Michigan. I can't stop thinking about this place. I cannot find any fresh seafood or even a restaurant comparable to Merricks. Coral was an amazing waitress and I hope when I come to visit in the near future she is still with the company. I highly recommend stopping here whether it's on vacation or just a brunch with friends. I miss you!

Merrick seafood/Fish Tales is without a doubt the best. We went once and we are in. Best fresh seafood in the Cape, great portion and service.

This used to be our favorite restaurant. However the last 2 times we ate here we were disappointed. Last night was a very bad experience. The service was extremely slow, hard to get drinks. Then when our meal was served, all dinners came out except one. We waited 15 minutes for the last meal to come out. Everyone was finishing up when the last meal was served. Not a nice experience at all. We think that will be our last time at the Merricks fishtail grill. Really too bad since it used to be our favorite restaurant in Cape Coral.

Tried to order fish from the market. Got there at 6: 54 and waited a the counter until 7: 07. They finally came and told us the counter closed at 7: 00. We spoke with a manager who told us there was nothing they could do. Horrible customer service!

Loved everything I had! Great flavor and amazing staff, friendly and professional! The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Prices are a little higher BUT it is definitely worth it!

I ate at the fishtail Grill associated with Merricks. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was Lively. Their salads are to die for. It was a great experience. There was live music outside but we chose to eat inside. Trying to compete over the music to have a conversation was not what we intended so the inside was the perfect choice. Great service as well!

We always enjoy coming to Merricks, for many years now. Tonight (Dec 26) Morgan was our server. Professional, courteous, very nice service. We had the Tuesday special- two Maine loster tails for $25.00, Good value. Fresh tasting, sweet and firm- high quality.

Our favorite seafood spot! We are there once a week and love to sit outside to eat and listen to live music!

Regrettably, our visit to Mericks left us underwhelmed. Despite the promise of a 'Captains Feast for 2, ' the seafood portions were dishearteningly scant. The service was lackluster, with our waitress predominantly focused on alcohol refills and neglecting to check in on our dining satisfaction. It's a shame that such potential for a delightful seafood experience was overshadowed by mediocre service and a meager offering, leaving us disappointed with our overall visit to this local spot. No desire to go back.

My wife and I had dinner there last night and was a horrible meal. Ordered the lobster bisque that was brown in color with no flavor, and looked like burnt custard. It was as though it came from the bottom of the pot at the end of the night. Ordered the seafood pot pie and again no flavor what so ever. Just terrible.
My wife ordered the grouper piccatta and guess what, no flavor at all and was too creamy and the grouper tasted like it was boiled with a gummy texture. As an appetizer ordered the tuna and salmon tartare and they only had salmon. It is a seafood restaurant correct? The salmon was not presented as a tartare, but just as salmon luxs that you would get on a bagel.
We will never go back….

Best seafood in the area. My favorite meal is the scallops, berries and Brie salad. All my favorite foods on one plate

Took my mother here for dinner and was disappointed with the lack of clarity on asking about the menu items listed. Ordered calamari as an appetizer without giving us plates. Definetly not what was expected based upon reviews. Sorry but not a favorite restaurant.

We were invited by some friends to join for dinner, the staff was great, but in my opinion their are way better places to have seafood in the Cape and surrounding areas, grouper I had was dry and the salad wasn't very fresh it actually was warm, which I didn't care for, I guess it all comes down to what you're willing to except as good food, its just ok.
