Love love love this park. The best thing about this park is playground is far from the road. It is like a spacious green field and at the end of it is the park herlsef. Swings are apart from the rest. Trees are awesome. Like heaven with mosquitos only. Off, insect repellent, whatever you have, just take it with you. Otherwise, cool place for kids of every age.

Huge, open air park right off Le Jeune road heading south toward the marina. Sinks in to the ground and hosts play grounds, tables, trees with shading and open fields.

Beautiful park but I wish they’d add a bit more parking. I get that the locals want it for themselves but.it’s like four spaces only!

Nice Park in the middle of a nice community. Found by accident while passing through. Kids loved it. Lots of free space for the kiddos to run around.

Nice neighborhood park with swings, 2 playgrounds for younger and older kids, dense stands of mysterious banyan trees and a nice mix of friendly families.

Revisted this park after Covid and many years of not going back. Been taking my daughter here since she could walk, she's now 14, we got to climb the same trees since she was little, I love this park, it's a true gem and the trees are very special.

We were on our way to Matheson Hammock Park to play on the beach and seen the enormous trees.
We had to stop.
We had never seen trees like this before and they are absolutely amazing.
Parking is a bit if an issue for a visitor. There is no parking lot for visitors to the neighborhood.
Still if you are in the area I would highly recommend a visit.

Where is it Christmas every day of the year in Coral Gables? At Merrie Christmas Park of course. Randall Norton "Randy" Christmas was the Mayor of Miami from 1955-1957. He must have quite the sense of humor to name his daughter Merrie. Not so funny was the fact that Merrie passed away at the age of 15 in 1969 and her father named the park in her honor.

In 2014 the city of Miami discovered toxic metals at the park and shut it down for the next 2 years. Clean up of the park cost over a million dollars. Today the park is open and is a popular destination for the people who live in the neighborhood. The park has giant banyan trees and a large open area perfect for play. Other park amenities include an exercise path, picnic tables, and a playground. On the evening I visited people were having a party, kids were playing on the playground, and dogs were running across the lawn. This is a beautiful spot for the community of Coral Gables to gather.

Very little has been added to this park in the last 50 years, no benches, picnic tables, new trees, especially flowering trees for bees and butterflies and there are no bathrooms, not even a PortaPotty. Typical Flawrida park. Limited parking.
