What a great spot! From as soon as you walk in the door, you can tell sense the high level of passion that goes into the food, service, and environment. We had Tonya as our server. She was knowledgeable, caring, and incredibly helpful during our inaugural trip to the Metro. I wish they had one in South Jersey.

(P.s. They had $2.99 beer and wine!)

Very very cold inside restuarant. I am sure the outside porch was perfect.perhaps next time. INITIAL coffee and OJ were slow to arrive.
Food came out perfect.
No salt on table?
When this place opened a few years ago it seems it was much more comfortable. Not as clean as on previous visits? Maybe a Covid 19 issue who knows?
Pretty pricey $17 plus tip for a simple Breakfast for 1 person but I guess that is the new normal.
Wanna LOVE this place!
Maybe just needs a few adjustments.

Food is excellent but is hard to get in with big group unless you willing to wait for area to be available. They can accommodate but I don't want to wait too long. We usually try to keep 3 to 5 people

I've been driving by this place since they were building it and have not had the opportunity to stop in before now. We were lucky to be here around dinnertime and they were not too busy. We were seated immediately and our server Kimberly was with us soon after. They were very friendly and courteous and helpful throughout. We perused the menu and my companion could not think of passing on the fried chicken and waffles. Everything about it sounded good from the fresh strawberry butter to the choice of boneless chicken. Not only did it look good but it tasted wonderful. It came with regular syrup and one with hot sauce. It was too hot for them but I loved it. I on the other hand ordered the shepherds pie as I have had a taste for some recently. This was not the standard exactly but there was no part of it that I did not like. The only missing ingredient was the peas because they don't use them. Honestly I did not miss them. When they assemble it they put a scoop of mashed right in the center of it and then cover it in cheese. It might look different but it still tastes great. I liked that it seemed less runny than other places too. So much on the menu sounded good I want to go back frequently. Plus the place smells so good from all they are cooking. This place really has the feel of what diners used to be like with quality food and friendly service.

I ordered the San Francisco Benedict - very bland and the english muffin was extremely hard. I had difficulty cutting through it even with a steak knife. Also the hash browns it came with were extremely salty. They were kind enough to replace those with unseasoned hash browns for me, but even those were quite salty.
Mimosa is a good value - I had the apple pie mimosa - very good and very affordable.
My partner liked the french toast, it was the best thing we had here.

Always fantastic! I even ordered a build your own omelette and they were okay with it. Very accommodating. Let me tell you.for only ham, broccoli and cheese.that thing was huge! (To me anyway!) I could only eat a little less than half, one quarter piece of toast and two bites of my potatoes and it was time for a box! The leftovers were just as good!

Love this place we ate breakfast here food and service was great came back for dinner. Oops bad mistake waiter tell us I had to fight the cooks to get your food. We saw the cook giving him a hard time 8pm on Sunday. Missing items from our plates and gravy once gotten was cold and others items never came. It’s was not just our table another was having issues also. They told us the cook does a 12 hours shift Saturday and Sunday. And just was in closing mode? So I suggest just eating breakfast here. And avoid it in the evening totally two different experience s here. And we’re customers who visit this a lot for breakfast.

Always have a great experience when the wife and I dine here. Waitresses are always nice even when I do curve side the few times when I did it. Only been at this location and found out about it by word of mouth. Food is always good and fresh.

I placed a $327 catering order for a family gathering last weekend. The food was excellent, the delivery by EZ Cater was great but I did not receive any serving utensils for any of the bulk packaged items. When I called EZ Cater they told me Metro Diner does not include these items with catering orders - only prepacked silverware. I had to go out and purchase utensils and our food had to be reheated when I got back. Kind of ruined the experience.

This is the second time we’ve been to a Metro Diner when visiting Florida. The first time, we tried the restaurant’s famous chicken and waffles, served with a sweet & spicy-style syrup and strawberry jam that paired so wonderfully with the fresh chicken and waffles, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

This time, we ordered the same dish along with something new that was a special on the menu: herb roasted chicken. My goodness, it was even better than I’d imagined it would be. If you’re looking for something to fulfill your sweet AND savory tastebuds, you’ve come to the right place.

Food is delicious and the waitress service. But the hostess people are the worst, the answer that you get in response is ridiculous, them you see them talking about you, obviously they look at you and you know they’re talking to bad we had it leave and miss my Chichen and waffles

Amazing chicken & waffles, it had a strawberry butter cream or something that blew my mind! Didnt even need syrup. We also had fish & chips and that was too!

Thank you metro for such a great experience!

Ordered the corn chowder it was luke warm. Ordered the cheese burger got a piece paper in the burger.the paper was from the cheese. Asked for a glass of water it had stuff floating in it but the worst thing was the attitude of the waitress.the manager was a nice guy but he can't make up for the lack of quality or care of his staff.

This place is amazing. Reminded me of a NJ diner kinda. Best you’ll get in FL.
Mimosas were cheap and excellent. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere was perfect.
This is definitely our new breakfast/lunch/dinner place. Can’t wait to bring our two year old here. So glad it’s just down the road from us.

It's a little out the way for where we live to go here as often as I would like, but since we were over that way; an overdue visit was in order. Just like other locations we've been to, the food was great and the service was too. Portions are generous and the prices are fair.
