Metro Diner, Jacksonville FL

Been going here over a decade and ALWAYS have a great meal with quick and polite service. Very grateful for the hardworking kitchen and wait staff for the many very pleasant breakfasts and brunches. Thank you thank you thank you!

Metro Diner is one of my "go-to" spots for delicious delectable delights and never disappoints. The crowd is there for a reason. Flavor profiles are quite unique. All items on the menu are exquisite and elegantly prepared. Our server Bridget was also very attentive.

The country fried steak with gravy was beyond delicious! And the special flavored coffee was outstanding.

This original location had the old time diner atmosphere you can't get any other location

Great breakfast choices. Good place to go to and get a very filling breakfast. Much much better than some places that offer to have it your way lol.

Gotta try Guy Fieris recommended meatloaf. It was delicious. Mashed potatoes delicious. Gravy delicious. But the green beans were terrible. Nothing on them, overcooked, dry. But I’ll eat their meatloaf all day long! Flavorful. Little crispy on the edges from a little grilling before serving. Mmmmm. Quick easy service. Feels comfortable with some southern charm added to the atmosphere.

Excellent place for breakfast. Fast and great service. The prices are great and the portions. Paige gave us a perfect service overall

Being the First Metro Diner, and a historical building, I hope they never altar this adorable, comfortable, delectable dining place.

Decent food. Would have given higher, but my over medium eggs were over done. Everything else was good.

We love eating here. Nice spot to people watch because it's always busy. They have continued to make improvements to the outside patio which is great. Staff is always friendly and even though they are always busy, food comes out quickly.

We love, love, love the Metro Diner! We have never been disappointed by any of the Metro Diners. We had 2 of our grandsons with us. One had pancakes and bacon. The other had chicken tenders and fries, and neither could finish their meal as large as they were. I had a club sandwich and fries. I sent most of the fries with my grandson and brought half of my sandwich home with me. Like I said, the portions are Hugh. Now, my husband, who can eat pretty much under the table, finished his meal of eggs, bacon, toast, and grits. If you've never been to a Metro Diner, GO, you won't be disappointed.

Went there for breakfast. Good food and prices next time in Jacksonville. I'll be back again.

The waitstaff are always super sweet. If you're going to order the pancakes, come hungry, the pancakes are huge.

Very crowded place in my opinion, you have to park down the street because they have no parking lot of their own.we took notice that this was the first metro diner to be built, which was pretty interesting.the hash browns were crispy which is what i loved the most.food was good and especially our server.

This place was an amazing experience. They said it would be a 15-20 min wait only waited like 5 mins, as the place was packed from front to back. The food was amazing came fast waiters are all very helpful. Will be returning to this place when visiting Jacksonville again.
