Metropolitan Park reviews
7A failed experiment, further proving that the local government should stick to filing paperwork, not trying to run every aspect of our lives. The land around the park (more like patch of grass) is toxic and unusable at present. It is as much an eyesore as it is a waste of taxpayer dollars.
A large park with a variety of activities. There is a dog park, a pool, a lake, numerous fields, and it is simply a pleasant location to visit in the city.
The park is all but abandoned and the labeling is off, as the historic park is just east of the label. The area labeled was the Kids Kampus, but that has been removed and that area of the marina is no longer in use.
The stage and tent, which has been taken down, for live music is also no longer being used, so all of the photos that show the park as a music venue, and a children’s playground are no longer applicable.
Great for any event of the town. Completely wheelchair accessible. When there not a fair is really nice to come walk or exercise
Great place for a slip for your boat. You can stay free for 72 hours. Pay for power if needed otherwise free. Downtown Jacksonville yet quiet, safe and peaceful. Clean marina. I am sure it gets very busy for special events like football game as it is walking distance from the stadium.
It's an all right place if you have a family one have a cookout but there's no place to fish or shrimp out there was the only thing that I did not like about it
I love the view of the river & walking through the park. The fresh air is amazing and watching the boaters is very relaxing. Fishing there is great and there are grills & public restrooms. It's a beautiful area (when the fishers put their trash in the receptacles) and I love going there to fish and relax.
