Michael V. Lewis Arboretum and Parrott Trail reviews
9 This is an absolutely beautiful spot. The trail here has lots of shady spots. Lots of tall trees.
Some portions make you feel like you're wandering through a swamp and others make it feel like you're wandering through a jungle. We loved it.
Very short trail. We were here for about an hour. There are lots of tree roots in the trail but it wasn't that difficult to navigate. Everything was fairly flat.
I highly recommend bringing bug spray. There's a few spots where an army of mosquitoes will attack you.
Very tropical. "Hiked" in early February, no bugs (yet) loop trail with network of mini loops. Interesting variety of sub-climates. A nice quiet escape from the concrete jungle around.
This park was great and is now one of my hidden gems. It seems hidden but slow your vehicle down while your looking for the park and you will see it the first time… very cozy path with open areas and perfectly over grown areas to explore. There’s a few bench’s to hang out at and a few cool other sightings. Very marshy area so could be very muddy around the rainy days. Certainly, love this trail and I’ll definitely be back!
Just discovered this hidden gem this morning. I stayed for an hour. So many different hidden trails. Ended up having to bust a U-turn, cause I wasn’t sure if it would loop back around! Incredible find. Leave only footprints
This trail is a hidden gem. The foliage makes you feel like you are definitely in the jungle. Definitely bring mosquito replacement! It would be nice if they cleaned up all the down trees that blocked a lot of the trails. Overall pretty cool
I go with my dog at least once a month, the trail is very nice and simple. Might be lucky enough to see snakes. Definitely a bit hard to find since it’ll be on your right if you’re driving forward from Overlook Dr. If you’re driving back on the right lane, it’ll be on your left. Pretty small and the parking is just the green grass at the entrance of the trail. Doesn’t say anything about parking, but it’s there. I go from Carl Floyd Rd and turn left at the light of Overlook Dr, it should be on your right in less than 3 minutes so I recommend to slow down so you won’t miss it.
This was by far the scariest creepiest trail I've been on wanta feel like your in a wrong turn film its the place to be only saw a huge snake
Really nice trail with great scenery. Trail can be hard to follow in certain spots due to insufficient markers
