Mid Florida Cancer Centers

I have been calling this office for over a month, jumping through hoops on behalf of one of their patients. They refuse to provide his records to me, though I have filled out the release paperwork multiple times, have faxed legal documents showing I am legally allowed to see his records, and have called over 20 times. The patient care coordinator voicemails go unanswered. Not only can I not see his records, AdventHealth DeLand cannot see them either (and we just filled out a release just over a month ago.) Not sure why trying to get records released to his family doctor is harder than astrophysics. They've also referred him to an imaging clinic that was out of network. It took a very long time to be rescheduled after the first clinic they referred him to didn't even do the correct MRI. Overall a terrible, unprofessional experience.

I am a current employee, I can confidently say that this practice is amazing that including the management, the software being used, and of course the patients! I love it here. Everyone being well mannered, kind, caring, and working together as a team is just great. JZ

Been going to make Florida cancer in Orange City for a little over a year now I find that the receptionist position the schedulers position these people are nasty and rude to the patients. I have been waiting over six weeks now to be able to see my pet scan and read the doctors report, I made phone calls. I left my name number and the message that I needed no return calls I started treating these people like they treat me and guess what They get mad. I was told by their COO that he was going to send me a letter and I had 30 days to find another cancer treatment facility due to verbal abuse against his staff.if his staff would treat the patient correctly and not have a smart, sarcastic mouth on her maybe she wouldn’t have been verbally abused.these are the same people that order food in and sit at the front reception desk or sit at the scheduling desk in front of patients and eat and drink when they answer the telephone they do not announce their name so you know who you’re speaking to. I had one scheduler call my house she let the call goes through four times she would hang up and not leave a message when I called back and I asked her why did she call four times and let it ring all the way through her response was it’s Friday. It’s my weekend and I’m going home. Most of these places are all the same. You’re going to hit good people you’re gonna get bad people. But if Mc, Florida Cancer hematology oncology COO wants to give me a letter and have me leave treatment with in 30 days. Without asking my side of the story, I’ll gladly oblige by his four of reasoning. I hope your receptionist brings in a lot of money for you. Because you didn’t even care about my problem waiting over six weeks to see my pet scan. You’re a cancer institution. I had the Pet Scan done at your office. In the doctor, you just hired keeps on telling me that she can’t show me because she doesn’t have the app or the program to show me. Thank you for doing me the favor and making me leave.

Wow bad experience with this place gives you the run around even if you dying no good wait month to tell you we can not schedule you

My mom goes here for her chemo and her radiation. Everyone from the doctors to the nurses to the ladies behind the desk have been great. The one lady that works behind the desk in the oncology department is great. She remembers my mom and always asks about her. They really do their best to get my mom the care she needs even when insurance doesn't want to.
