Amazing dermatologist and staff. Great and easy checkin process. No long waits and staff is always helpful. My malasma is being treated by Ana their aesthetician and I’m very happy with the results. Have also had the microdermabrasion sessions and the results are amazing! Super clean, courteous and Dr. Cauthen knows her stuff! Would never go to any other dermatologist office! Definitely 5 star service! Would give 10 stars if option was available.

Excellent, excellent dermatology care by Dr. Ashley Cauthen and her dedicated staff. I have been a patient of MidState Skin for two years now and have found the entire staff and team at MidState Skin to be dedicated, caring, knowledgeable professionals who go out of their way to deliver the best dermatology care I have received in my many years of growing up in Florida with the ravaging effects of the Florida sun on my skin. I would not consider going anywhere else for a dermatology problem. Highly recommended, none better. I'd give 'em six stars if I could!

I'd like to start by apologize to the doctors & staff for posting a review without having all the facts. So I removed the post so I could replace it with a post more actuate. At Midstate Skin Institute you will find the staff to be friendly, courteous, polite & professional. I brought my 91 year old father to have a spot on his face looked at. When the results came back they called to tell me what they were instead of waiting for the next appointment. When there was a misunderstanding they called right away to talk & make sure I understood what was going on. I've been to one other doctor's office that treats it's patients as good as Midstate Skin Institute.

Very rude customer service. No maners to ideal with the people. They are focus only in how you are going to pay. Never call or going there again.

I recently saw Colby for Xeomin in my forehead and glabella due to one of my eyebrows pulling harder than the other one. Colby was super sweet and really helpful with what I needed done, the injections didn’t hurt at all thanks to Colbys steady hand. I can’t wait to go back for more injections when this wears off!

The worst.
Went for a skin condition that was never satisfactorily addressed and led to believe i had cancer.
When given a twenty-four hours notice of cancellation of my appointment due to transportation issues these people continually harass me for a $100 payment for late cancellation.
Must be hard up for money as the diagnosis was a lie and the harassment continues. It appears legal action is needed to get them to stop harassing me
A senior who lives alone dealing with many health issues now a legal battle to keep from being harassed over 100 bucks.
My advise to those in need of relief of skin problems is,
Find a real doctor as these people are FRAUDS.

Do not get filler here. I got filler under the eyes & it is so bad. The wrinkles became worse, they became discolored, and the shadows under my eyes are even worse. Everyday co workers come up and ask why I look so tired. I almost cried at work. The doctor didn't take into account my eye's anatomy at all. They wanted me to come in so they can evaluate it & make me happy. How would they do that? They ruined my eyes! They're not going to acknowledge that they messed up. All they will offer me is TO PAY to get it removed or add more. So I have to pay for their screw up. I am not letting them near me with a needle again. I have sent countless emails with lots of pictures. All they want to dfo is evaluate me. Do yourself a favor & do not get filler here. It is a mistake. I am so unhappy I constantly want to cry.

I had a facial done and really enjoyed it. I tried to schedule another appointment and I think it’s ridiculous to have to schedule almost two months out due to limited availability. Also was going to get a consult to see one the dermatologist for another reason but with this tight schedule that’s not gonna happen either. Won’t be back. Not to mention the receptionist scheduling me seemed annoyed at the fact I work and can’t just take whatever her next available appointment was.

Dr. Cauthen came highly recommended by many people but unfortunately i can’t speak of the services she provides as I never got to see the Dr.
I spoke to Hailey in the office who was rude and sarcastic not believing I received a text message sending me to the wrong office. In fact, I called in on Monday to verify and was rudely told « Mam, if it says Jasmine, your appointment is at Jasmine ».
Ultimately, they didn’t own up to the mistake or accept to see me 15 minutes late, the time it would take to go to the other office. Waste of time.
Poor customer service.

Dr. Mitchell and the team were very friendly and professional. Dr. Mitchell thoroughly explained her diagnosis and she called me to review my pathology report. My nasty skin rash has vanished so I guess she was right on with her recommended treatment:)

Good dermatologist clinic. The nurse practitioner seemed knowledgeable. I didn’t like that there was a dog roaming freely in the lobby and around the clinic, it made the place seem dirty and not very clean.

Just peachy. Service was excellent. If you like pretty blonde ladies popping zits and cysts this is the place.

Seriously though, I had a cyst in my face and had dreaded having it operated on for years, thought it would be a really long ordeal. One visit, she numbed me then squeezed that meatloaf til it was bone dry. The stuff that came out of my face good god it was nasty but these ladies right here got the iron stomach. I got queasy instead but I'm really glad I went here, they made a scary situation fun and easy for me. Will definitely be back.

I brought my very difficult mother to Midstate to have a few spots checked out. ARNP-C Katie Keel and the staff were absolutely wonderful with her (which is no small task)! Their warm personalities were very much appreciated.

Have used Midstate Skin and doctor Ashley Cauthen for past 3 years. She is the best and does an outstanding job with medical related skin issues. Recently, my wife was in to have skin tags removed and also have her eye browns enhanced with a tattoo procedure. We were referred to Dr Cauthen's cosmetic specialist who was to remove the skin tags with acid and then enhance my wife's eyebrows. We trusted this individual given that in past we had always had excellent care and results with Dr. Cauthen.
Skin Tags-specialist wanted to test strength of acid to see what level was needed to remove skin tags. She wanted to test this on her face, and we had to tell her that it would be better to try in the stomach area, which she did. We came back 3 weeks later and nothing happened to the tags. She used a large applicator that was far bigger than the skin tag so the area burned was larger. We suggested something the size of toothpick and then she found a hollow needle to put the acid on with. 3 weeks later skins tags still there so we decided not to continue with this procedure because we had no confidence in the ability of the specialist.
Meanwhile we did visit about having eyebrows tattooed and went in for the first tattoo session. We took phones in of what shape, length and design we wanted. We did specifically point out that we did not want arching eyebrows with thin sides that you see done on over 65 year old women. She had problems applying the color in certain areas given she said the needle she was using was too small. She did not follow any of our design instructions and instead the tattoo followed the higher arch pattern of elderly women's design. We had to stop midway into the session with the idea that she would use a bigger needle next time to fill in all the areas that she could not color. When we left the office, we asked the scheduler if any of the office girls used this specialist to do their eyebrows. The answer was a very firm "no". We wished we would have asked this prior to paying $400 and having someone that has limited ability in this area given our results to date. We have a beauty consultant with more that 20 years experience as a neighbor. We had her take a good look at the tattoo vs the pictures provided. She told us that we should not go back, as very clear the specialist did not know really what she was doing given our outcome. So now my wife is using a lot of makeup to conceal the tattoo lines that make her eyebrows arch. She requested more of the modern look that most younger folks have, with little arch and more of a full brow, But this did not happen!
Anyway, wanted to warn all that we had a bad experience on both skin tags and on eyebrow enhancement. We have lost all confidence in the specialist and after paying $500 to the Institute, feel ripped off.
Use your own judgement but given our experience, this is a department you may want to avoid given the outcome we experienced.
