Mikado has merged with Pho 99 Fusion! Pho 99 was located on Blanding and 103rd but they have recently moved in to Mikado! Such a nice restaurant accommodates big crowds, nice, clean and kid friendly. I’ve tried both hibachi at Mikado side which was amazing and I’ve had the Pho 99 which was the main reason we have visited. Hands done yummy and the owner Vivian is such a sweet heart. We will be returning for sure! Five stars

We had an excellent experience. The food was great, and our service was very prompt. We will definitely return!

Terrible experience. Went during lunch time with my young child. Place was empty. We were the only ones there. Server came out and was not engaging at all. He didn’t do any of the tricks, no fire, no jokes for my young child he just cooked our good and left. Food was very nasty. Terrible experience. Would not recommend.

Just going to keep it short and sweet. Waste of money. Food was undercooked and under seasoned. Don’t waste your time.

We tried Viet dishes such as pan fried seafood noodles and chicken pho, they are pretty good.

We dined here on Christmas Eve and didn't have to wait. Great food, a lot of it, and great service. It was a little cold in the restaurant, they needed to turn on the heat.

I was on my lunch break and knew I needed to find something quick. We ordered two lunch bento boxes, one chicken katsu, one salmon katsu. The staff was friendly and the soup was nice and hot ️

Really bad experience. Ate here for the first time with some friends and few hours later i am running in and out the toilet. Sushi rice is not what Japanese really use and it is very pricey for something that is supposed to be cheaper than what they are charging.

Staff is great no problems there, Ginger salad was delicious. Shrimp and rice were good too! But the hibachi chicken tasted like it literally had been soaked in soy sauce. It was even worse after re heating it. Please fix this. Last few times we went here it was nothing like that. Idk what happened but if you get hibachi, DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN.

At abt 2: 40, we were seated at a table, given a lunch menu, and asked what we wanted to drink. When the waitress left, I looked thru the menu, made a food decision, and let my spouse know, before heading to the restroom. Upon return, was surprised to see we were being moved to a different table - no explanation, just: ‘Sorry, we need to change table’.

- This wasn’t a problem. No worries.
As we chatted awhile amongst ourselves, we happened to noticed the menu was different. It was the same food, but not the lunch menu we previously made selections from.

Since no one brought our drinks, either, there was no one to ask to exchange the menus. When cleaning staff passed us on their way to set up another table, we stopped them to explain our table had been switched, and we were given different menus from those we previously had.

They apologized & sent someone over. Rather than bringing the requested menus, we were instead told the lunch menu ended at 3: 00.
This was an unexpected surprise.
I reminded her we had arrived and were previously seated before being moved to the current table. The waitress had even taken our drink requests. As a matter of fact, I checked the time on my phone as I spoke, just to be certain I was correct. I showed her the time as it was rolling over to 3: 03.
Unbelievably she said- see, it is 3: 03 now. Sorry, lunch menu only until 3: 00.

Evidently, we had no choice, and by then, it had started raining outside. It was either leave, or order from the dinner menu. We chose the latter. A mistake.

The dinner menu & it’s increased pricing provides the customer with steamed broccoli, literally still cold in the center; tough & chewy shrimp, decent small scallops, and fried rice and that was anything but.
- (Certainly not the fried rice typically served at other Japanese restaurants we frequent). One would think someone among the staff would have shown concern that the two of us, AND, the couple seated at the table after us, had pushed all the rice aside.

As our plates were cleared, I asked for a togo cup for my soft drink. ‘Sorry, we out of cups. No cups’.

Wonderful.
We, too, are Sorry, …but not sorry.
We don’t intend to return to see if you can do better.

We dined in with a large group. Service was prompt food, was way too salty and greasy. Main complaint was the place was not clean!

Food extremely over salted. The floor was slippery from grease and lack of cleaning. It was at least eighty degrees in the restaurant and very uncomfortable. We asked for extra plates as we had a celebration cake and were told there would be a $5.00 charge for them! What? ! With our group of 13, we spent about $500 so to charge for plates was a little unreasonable and did not show appreciation for our business. We felt very rushed to finish and leave. Staff stood close by ready to charge over and clean the tables. This seems a little obsessive and irritating. Most, if not all, in our group decided we would not be back. We prefer Kyiobi on Kingsley or Kan Ki on San Jose. Will choose one of those in the future.

The staff and service are wonderful but the pricing has gone way up over the years while the portion sizes have gone down a bit. Its a little disappointing. The food is still good, but there are other places I would recommend first.

I came to this location tonight for the 1st time with my parents and 2 kids. Spent $290. I got 4 sushi rolls and a chicken Hibachi to go, for my husband. We get home, he has 2 shrimp in his box, right in the middle of his chicken. He is allergic to shrimp, which is why I order CHICKEN! I called the restaurant 7 (yes, SEVEN) times and no one will even pick up the phone! Thanks for ruining this night for us! We will never be back! Not to mention, the entire time we were there we felt rushed! From ordering, until after we paid. They gave us boxes 3 minutes after we were served our food. They stood right over our shoulders while we ate, and stood right in front of us while we were counting the money to pay. Ridiculous! Very disappointing!

Lots of tables and accommodations for large groups. Service was prompt. No dessert options. Scallops and lobster were over cooked and salty. Rice had a lot of soy sauce dumped in during the cooking process. The experience felt rushed at times. Shrimp was good. Steak was low quality. Ginger salad was fresh and delicious. Soup was fantastic.

Overly salty. In service and food

We never got our salads, appetizer or soup. They went straight to the hibachi because another group was sitting at the table. The food was DRENCHED in soy sauce and was extremely salty which was very disappointing. The server seemed to not be very interested in serving us and was sadly a little inattentive
