I was so impressed with Tina and the whole team. They are very responsive and helpful. We haven't stayed yet, but the booking process was awesome and she saved us a little money too! Can't wait to spend our vacay here.

Had a showing today to see a unit talked with them all week and confirmed my viewing for 12 on sat jan 27th. I sat outside for 40 mins and wasted my morning as there was no lock box on the door like the instructions mentioned.the door was locked seems like they are neglecting their duties and responsibilities not professional if you ask me

We recently rented a house with a heated pool in Naples from Mike Z Properties, and our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The property was falsely advertised, and it became apparent that the positive VRBO reviews from the last few weeks were nothing but a sham.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a broken, green pool infested with significant algae. One of the bathrooms had mold on the shower curtain, and the entire property was riddled with stains and broken curtains. It was evident that the property had not been properly maintained.

Getting in touch with Mike Z Properties proved to be a Herculean task. It took numerous attempts before we could even reach them, and when we finally did, their lackluster customer service was utterly disappointing. Only after involving VRBO did they send a cleaning company for the pool, but the issue persisted.

Despite our persistent complaints and providing photographic evidence, they initially refused to believe us. It took a whopping 10 hours on the phone with VRBO to force them to send the pool company back. We were subjected to immense stress and frustration, all while our vacation plans were falling apart.

To add insult to injury, the mold and dirt issues in the property were never addressed, and we were left to endure the subpar conditions until the third day of our stay when the pool was finally fixed.

After checking out, Mike Z offered us a measly $500 refund, which is less than the cost of a single night's stay. This paltry reimbursement does not even come close to compensating for the false advertising, the hours of inconvenience, and the overall deplorable condition of the property.

In conclusion, our experience with Mike Z Properties was marked by fake postings and reviews, terrible customer service, and a complete failure to honor the promises made in their advertisement. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this dishonest and irresponsible property management.

Mike Z is the best management company I have had for a short term rental. Well organized and effective, he and his team provide me with a great income stream and peace of mind. I rented a house in Bonita National Golf and Country Club through VRBO for a vacation this year and to also check out the area for retirement. Mike Z and his team handled the process. He and his team are truly very friendly and super professional. The house was exactly as the photos showed and spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend Mike Z Rentals for any and all of your real estate needs. I'm a pretty good judge of character. Mike and his team are very conscientious and will be up front and honest. If I do end up deciding to retire in Southwest Florida I won't hesitate to use Mike and his team when looking for a home to buy.

The best realtor in SWFL and it isn’t close. I gave Mike my list of properties I wanted to see and he did his own research. He found a place that was still under construction, severely under priced, had an extra room and had poor marketing. I bought that place and couldn't be happier. His work with seasonal and annual rentals is also amazing. He truly loves what he does.

My partner and I were initially going to use this company for renting our home then we decided to sell. We should have trusted our gut when we initially met Shaun who works for Mike as we felt his demeanor awkward but we overlooked this as everyone is different. We explained that we had guests staying in our home for season, they have stayed with us for over 10 years, we are close, even though we have never met them.

We were assured by Mike & Shaun that our guests would have minimal intrusion as they paid a lot of money to stay with us for 3 months. Initially Mike said we could have open days for six hours and they would compensate our guests by paying for lunch, for the inconvenience of having potential buyers in and out of our home.

We were assured that after each viewing we would receive feedback.
Mike Z agreed that we could have. 5% off their 6% charge, the usual 3% for them and 3% for the buyers realtor. So 5.5% in total.

At first it seemed like we were on the same page, minimal inconvenience for our guests as they were on vacation and a home, frankly that sold itself. I’m not going to list every upgrade on here, the furniture was sold with the home, initially it was meant to be separate but in the end it was included in the entirety of the home sale price.

The relationship with Mike Z realty started to break down when our vacation guests rang us, crying, frustrated and upset as they felt pressured by Mike & Shaun with viewings, in the end we decided to take it off the market as our guests became stressed by it all, they are both in their mid 70’s.

As far as viewings we had to keep asking for feed back, it didn’t come freely, nor in a timely manner as promised. We had offers made that quite frankly were insulting and we would have to counter these, which just seemed ridiculous and a waste of our time. We would then have an offer made, counter and not hear anything from anyone? Just appalling, paying 5.5% commission which cost us $29k in realtor fees, they weren’t present to show our home to every potential buyer, but receive 29k at closing?

The communication was poor, frustrating and in our opinion very unprofessional. We had a Wattsapp group between us all, some of the texts we received were insulting and unnecessary.

Mike reneged and flat out refused to compensate our guests as promised and this was in text from him. He said he never offered to compensate them for lunch/dinner and we sent him the text to show him in black and white. WE compensated our guests $250 out of our own pocket to apologise for the way they had been made to feel and for the inconvenience. To add, he quoted because he offered $2500 out of their pockets at closing to seal the deal so to speak, this is why he refused to compensate our guests.

What has one got to do with the other?

Completely unprofessional and this just highlights their integrity, lack of!

At one point we wanted out of the contract and we spoke to a couple that lived within our community that were realtors. They obviously know the community inside out and funnily enough they had clients that were interested in our home and liaised with Mike & Shaun.

Mike, wasn’t happy that we had discussed, possibly switching over to them and became extremely defensive stating that they were unprofessional by interacting with us and denied their lack of professionalism when they were communicating over the sale of our home.

At final closing neither of them were present? We said by text after they refused to compensate our guests during their vacation, it would make for a very unpleasant closing. Maybe this is why they weren’t present?

There was no communication by either of them during or after closing? No thank you.

It was the most miserable, unprofessional, experience. They just wanted our home sold, commission in their hands and for us to be gone.

My partner and I are in our 50’s owned and sold many properties, we expect glitches, people to haggle on price but not to be treated the way we were by Mike Z Rentals, RENTALS? Read their reviews and think twice.
