Mike's Automotive reviews
11I went to this place the fist time to ask about brakes being installed for my vehicle, I told them I already had the pads ect. I was treated and spoken to very nice by Mike and another younger guy there. The following week I came back and was explaining to the younger guy the conversation we had the week before about installing the pads ect. He was telling me they had no room for me that day ect Some lady came from the back office which was overhearing the conversation and she out of no where started yelling at me telling me I need to make an appointment that if I don't hurry up to leave because there's other Costomers waiting to do business and I'm just there holding things up.she reminded me of them Karens videos on social media, her eyes widened up and her face got all red this lady was very Nasty I was just there asking the questions any new Costomer would ask in a place they have never done business with. I have no idea what made her go off like that. But all I can say is she seems to have some issues. By the way everyone else treated me with respect and answered all my questions with no problem.
It was my first time at Mike's and I was positively surprised how friendly and quick I was served. I left my car there and the next day I could pick it up already. I experienced other shops where my car was for 4 weeks even though he knew he couldn't fix it but didn't call me either
Love this shop. Always reasonable and will squeeze you in when possible. Tells it like it is. Doesn't try to sell you unnecessary work if it's not really needed. Thank you
You're not going to find a more honest, qualified, and fair priced mechanic this side of the Mississippi!
Great place and great people. It's hard to find an honest mechanic and these guys will tell you exactly what's wrong and get you back on the road, without selling you unnecessary services. Recommend to all my friends and family!
Talk about folks that still care and have pride in their craft! Had major engine work done here and I’ve never been happier to spend that kind of money on a repair. They showed their generational experience and knowledge when I picked up my truck. Along with repairing a few things that weren’t on the ticket (at no extra cost), they took the time after they had closed to print out a diagram of a couple additional things that needed to be fixed. This is the kind of small business America was built on!
Probably one of the best mechanics around. Very honest and trustworthy. Pricing is fair and service is great. Quality of work is top notch. No complaints. Will return for future work.
Walked in today ask what their hourly rate charge is. " Depends on the job". What that mean, if it's a 10 minute job you pay more? Never given an answer. That answer is first sign of not being straight forward and honest. I asked for a labor price to change 2 belts on my vehicle. They told me $175.00 I choked I have the belts. It is by the book a 20 minute job in my vehicle. Put it on a lift loosen tensioner bolts on each belt, remove and replace belts tighten tensioner bolts, drop car. I watch two different videos on YouTube they took 15/18 minutes. I'd pay 1/2 hour of reasonable rate. In my humble opinion they are not trustworthy!
These people are amazing. It's so hard to find a good mechanic. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you guys so much!
My car still runs so they do good work however my bill was 4 times higher than the verbal estimate was there about 3 hours.
Update: I went back to Mike after I recieved my refund for a part I asked them to install and they said it was defective I paid $202 for it Mike charged me $454 for the same part so I asked Why he didn't have much of an answer he got red in the face and flapped his arms a bit and it came down to I didn't get in writing his charge for the part. I'm local so it's to bad I have more work to be done.
No mistake I live right around the corner you got me good.
No wonder mikes has great reviews! One of my employees suspected an oil leak after having an oil change at a different shop. We were afraid to drive the truck any further so we stopped into mikes auto repair. The owner came out himself and checked it for us so we can get back on the road quickly to take care of our own customers. They didn’t charge us for the inspection and refused payment. This is a prime example of a real and honest family owned shop. I would HIGHLY suggest using this shop as we will literally drive an hour to Mikes from now on to service our vehicles. It’s worth it
