Mike is a true helpful soul. The fact that he is an awesome mechanic is a bonus if you ever have any car issues. He is the most honest mechanic, thank God, you will ever meet. He has done work for us on a few cars and is 100% a solid guy! Highly Recommended. Fyi, Will not take my car anywhere else!

Mike and his mechanics are very good at what they. I have used them for many years with my vechicles.

Worst mechanic ever. Completely misdiagnosed my vehicle said I needed a starter cost me $639. Then tells me to take it Nissan were they tell me it wasn't the starter I needed a fuel pump. They fix it $1300 later and I am now out the $639 for a starter I did not need plus the $1300 for a fuel pump.

I'd recommend avoiding doing business with them at all costs. They're terribly unprofessional. They took over 2-years to "restore" my car, sold my original motor without authorization or any communication, and my car is still not running right after spending nearly $50k to restore it.

I've been a loyal customer with Mr. Mike since 2009. He was referred to me by a teacher who had used his services for years. Mr. Mike is courteous, provides great customer services, is fair with pricing, and has been available in all of my emergency situations. He offers a "female friendly" service that does not condescend or take advantage. The atmosphere is that of a garage. If that's your expectation, Mike's is not the place for you. If you looking for an honest, hard working mechanic with no frills or thrills, Mike's Low Cost Auto Repair is for you.

My brother took his small truck to this rip off artist.he talked him into paying him in advance (never do that), then hassled my brother over almost 2 months for more money, never gave him a receipt, then wouldn't give him back the truck until he paid him over a thousand dollars for something that should have cost about $300, he didn't even do the work properly, the truck was a mess.beware using this guy, don't pay up front! And get a receipt for any money you give him.

If you still like and value your car, think twice/trice about taking it to this place. They don't take any care with your property. Dropping new parts on the floor and no care is taken when lifting your care off the ground. If I wasn't paying close attention, they would have ripped off some of my body molding. I couldn't relax while they were working on my car and I couldn't wait to get it back from them. Now that I have it back, I am taking it to the dearlership to doublecheck their work. The price may be right but, but as they say, the cheap always come out expensive.

Dirty operating from a glorified storage unit
Took a car to him for carburetor repair he promised to have the car fixed
Went to pick up the car the day he promised
And found the car in pieces he said he “sublet”
The repair
Had to tow vehicle to another shop after paying for
Uninstalled parts
Ripoff scam nasty man
Stay clear

Just over a year ago, someone totaled my car, and since I was in a pinch to buy a new one, I asked a friend (also a mechanic) if he knew of any cars for sale. He told me his friend, Mike (the owner of this shop), had a 2005 Toyota Solara with 116,000 miles on it. They sent me photos and specs, and I stopped by with my partner to give it a look over. It was clean on the inside and rode smoothly when I took it out for a test drive, but the rear driver’s side panels were scratched and slightly dented and looked a little matte. We asked what that was from, and he told us that someone had side swiped the car, but that it wasn’t a big deal. We finalized the paperwork, I paid for it, made everything official at the DMV, and not two weeks later, the radiator completely blew out on my way home from work.

Fast forward another two weeks, and my check engine light comes on. I take it to my mechanic, and when he opens the hood, he starts pointing out things that seem out of place that my partner and I missed. Pieces of the engine are bent at odd angles. Wires are connected sloppily underneath panels. Connection points are glued together and dusted with some kind of powder instead of being screwed together with rubber gaskets. And the panel on the back? It had been painted because it was likely in a more serious accident than the one we were told was “just a side swipe”. And there was also a hole in the oil pan, causing oil to leak out onto the ground. The check engine light issue? The engine is running lean, and resetting the engine will not fix the issue. My mechanic told me that if there are any serious problems, to not fix them, because the car is a piece of trash. He also refused to touch it because it looked like it had been pieced together like a Frankenstein engine, and he didn’t want to make things worse.

Again, fast forward to April of 2020, my check engine light has been constantly on for 7 months. And now the car is choking violently at stop lights, the engine is revving in park and idle, and three times, it’s stalled completely in traffic. I called my friend, because I’m not trusting Mike after he sold me a piece of absolute garbage, and my friend tries to smoke out the engine to see where the seam is that’s making the car chug. This cost me $400. In the middle of a pandemic after I lost at least two sources of income.

Now, it’s October. My car is having trouble changing gears in traffic, and it’s STILL choking at lights. I’m scared I’m going to be stranded somewhere if I need to travel a long distance. I don’t have the money to get this fixed, so save yours and DO NOT go to this guy for anything. He’s a liar and a cheat, and he took advantage of a woman who had an emergency.
