To this day, I have no idea what Valentina looks like, we never met her. We never met Olga. Yet we sent numerous emails to both about issues that were never resolved.

We had a problem with our toilet leaking from the first week of moving in. It was never fixed so we did it ourselves, we were never reimbursed for the parts needed to fix it. We notified Mila Realty through the portal within our first 30 days of moving in and they never fixed the issue. We also followed up with multiple emails, to which Mila Realty asked us to contact OUC and gather consumption data, all of which we did. Because of this leak, our water usage increased significantly which was reflected on our OUC bill. We also had a leak with one of our underground pipes (between the water meter and the house). Myself and my boyfriend were living in a 940sq.ft.duplex and our water bill indicated we were using about 15,000 gallons of water each month from the first month we moved in, which was a huge problem. Mila Realty kept pushing us to have OUC solve it, and showed little ownership. We spent a large amount of personal time going back and forth with OUC and waited 6-months so we could have an energy audit. After the audit, OUC refused to issue a credit. Mila Realty never covered the cost for the excess water usage. It was very unfair that we were simply renting the unit yet felt like we had to deal with an existing building problem on our own and cover the excess cost ourselves. Overall, it was a very impersonal experience, I didn’t feel like Mila Realty was looking out for us.

Thankfully our building was sold mid-way through our lease and a new landlord took over who was much more accountable. We moved in October 2018 and our building was sold with a new landlord taking over in March of 2019.

Horrible treatment of tenants. We were outstanding tenants in one of their properties. Left the townhouse in better shape than given to us since we own a handyman business. After we left, they sent the deposit check to the same property address that we moved out of, really? They did not care to wait for a new address to be provided. We have been waiting for over 3 weeks for our check to be delivered. In the middle of a pandemic when money is so tight and we kindly explained that we needed the money desperately. They didn't care AT ALL. Mind you that this is OUR MONEY. We left the property May 30th and today July 14th we still have nothing. Check was sent back June 23rd and it is still in the mail. We asked for a stop payment so that we could pick up another check but they refused. We spent a lot of money painting and cleaning the place to leave it in tip top shape so that we wouldn't have any problems getting our money back. Now they don't even answer our emails and when they do, they just ask us to sit and wait for the check. Horrible people!
