Military Heritage Museum reviews
14 So much to see gove yourself time to view everything.
Highly recommend talking with volunteers and trying the interactive portions
An absolute amazing experience filled with learning the history So much fun. Would recommend it to anyone. Great place to bring your family! Lots of activities
We were visiting Punta Gorda for a long weekend, and I invited our friend group to check out the Military Heritage Museum. It was SO worth the money. We spent a little over two hours there, but could have easily spent way more time! There were a LOT of cool stories shared. The VR experience and flight simulation were pretty cool. They have a piece of the Berlin Wall on display outside as well. I highly recommend visiting the Military Heritage Museum on your next visit to the area!
This museum is perfect for all ages, multiple interactive things to do as well as several exhibits. It was not too big so we were able to finish everything in about two hours. The people working and volunteering were so knowledgeable and friendly.
This was an excellent Military history museum. I learned a lot. I also appreciate the 2 Vets who volunteer there and talked to me regarding their personal experiences. Thank you for your service.
I was on a limited time schedule so I only got to check out most of the exhibits. However they have a bunch of things to do upstairs and even guest speakers all the time. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly, along with the EXTREMELY knowledgeable vets that volunteer there. And a huge bonus, those guys know the story on the exact pieces in their possession. Id recommend to anyone as I will be going back for sure. Also the bathrooms are spotless and we'll maintained, always a plus.
It was better than I thought it would be. The volunteers are very nice and friendly. Lots of displays of military uniforms, weapons and photos. The flight simulator was awesome. The V/R tours are very cool. I want to go back.
It was so informative. I got to do a flight simulation. You can choose what plane you want. They have virtual realities you can try. Well worth the $14. You can watch documentaries. The people are very helpful. I went there for a show at the Gulf theater.
We attended a Matt Stone concert (Elvis experience) on a Friday evening. He was excellent & even resembles the King. Acoustics were very good for a small venue, that seats under 300. At intermission we were able to browse many displays of vintage aircraft as well as modern military air force bombers and fighters.
This is a very cool museum to visit they have VR for solider experience and flight simulators which were fun it was very educational and you can learn a lot about what these solders have been through the volunteers were all veterans that were very helpful and willing to share there experiences - thank you for your service
the only reason i didn’t give a 5 star is because the lady at the front desk was quite rude everyone else was very pleasant
Very nice museum, you can even take a simulated plane trip, the staff are real veterans.real enthusiasts!
I love this place, the staff and Veterans are lovely and very happy to share their experience and knowledge with the visitors. They make you so welcome and explain in detail all the great exhibits, layout and information of the many many wonderful collections of memorabilia contained in the large new building that houses the museum. You could happily spend a whole day here. The flight simulators are great fun and the virtual shooting range brings out the competitiveness in most people. Very well thought out and the vets ensure that your experience here is second to none. Respect and best wishes to you all
Oh, wow, what can I say about this place. Came across it, and it Tyrrell is a hidden gem. Love the volunteers and workers.we were all so nice. It was so awesome hearing all the story from a veteran who was volunteering there. I forgot his name but I could listen to him for hours. There's just so much history there and so much fun. Did the aviation simulation that was a blast. Hubby loved the laser shooting, of course. Perfect place to come with the family.
