Minerva Indian Restaurant Jacksonville reviews
19Atmosphere and appearance is nice, food variety was decent compared to other indian buffets, took a while to replace food and refill empty pans, no real table service so clearing plates and refilling drinks took longer, bathroom was clean, oh and napkins only found on the buffet bar so had to keep getting up to get napkins if we ran out. But staff was nice and environment appeared clean. For the price, which was $18 weekend lunch buffet, I would expect better service, food variety, faster refills, and more labels on food.
First time trying this restaurant and we were so pleased with everything! The food was very fresh and cooked perfectly. We tried goat for the first time and were amazed by the flavor. Wonderful service and a cheerful atmosphere. We’re definitely coming back as often as we can!
Super clean. Food was awesome. Except dal makhni. Just not the taste from the north India but we finished it. It was still good as a different taste. Rest all was fantastic. Do try dum briyani. We will visit again when in the area.
First time here nasty cold food less item chicken tikka smelled bad definitely not chai was good.
Had dinner here with two friends who were visiting in town. Came in on a Wednesday night with only a few other people in the restaurant and it still took a long time (~15 mins) to get an order placed. Food and drink was good. Curry and naan were quite tasty.
However, once the final receipts were given to each of us for our meals we found the prices billed to us were all a good bit higher than what was listed on the menu (maybe ~$4 more per person, x3 people each). There was a label on the front of the menu that says something to the effect of ‘we reserve the right to charge more for increased raw food prices’. Yet they don’t update their menu’s prices. So you’re left in the dark what is the actual price of dishes. Are they going to charge you $2 more or $5 more for a dish? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe depends on their mood, since the host couldn’t tell us anything. Fairly dishonest and deliberately negligent policy from this place. Update your menu and pricing and be upfront with your customers for what they’re being charged
Not only the food was very tasty, even the owner is very courteous humble and pleasant lady. It was really my pleasure meeting her in person thru my son. God bless them.
Hubby and I went on New Years Day and Sayeed was our server and was very welcoming. He was awesome. He made sure the spice wasn't too hot and that we were well satisfied with all of the flavors. The food was wonderful with enough for left overs. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. We will be back.
Love, love, love this place the atmosphere is so beautiful, the food is delicious, and the owners are such kind and lovely people. 10/10 recommend!
I don’t normally leave reviews but this place was so amazing I felt the need too. The server was amazing and so was the food! Will definitely return when heading down this way again.
Really good food for vegetarian options, baghara baigan was delicious, grilled paneer and dosa were testy as you can get.
Tasty south indian foods, better varieties of Dosa, Vada, Idly and Biriyani from a smiley serving people in a greater atmosphere. Chefs' extended their hands to serve a tastier food even we ordered in last minute. Kudos to Minerva.
After a week of boring food @ Orlando region and got superb food and good atmosphere and service on our way back home.
A must visit place if you are in Jacksonville. Excellent food, great ambience, and amazing customer service. If you are craving for Indian food in Jacksonville, this is the place to go. Especially on weekends, their lunch buffet has almost 20 different varieties served. I have tried other Indian restaurants in Jacksonville, but I found that Minierva has the most authentic Indian taste. Especially, Indian Chinese dishes.
Everything has garam masala even info Chinese which is awful. Please don’t add garam masala to Manchurian!
I would say this is the BEST Indian food in Florida, great vegetarian options in the buffet. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere.
My prior experience was better than this nice. They were not busy but took an hour to get food. Kid meal with cheese wrap was huge but cheese wasn't melted. Food wasn't hot and was just Okay. I will return during the week maybe it was a weekend thing.
Amazing service, attentive staff, great quality food.i am horrible with spice and they gave me a discount even though i knowingly ordered the medium instead of mild and veryyyy accommodating.
It was a good restaurant, great food, beautiful aura n atmosphere but the service was sooo slow and the food came all out of order.usually when ordering naan n other appetizers its one of the first things to come out and when we ordered we got naan last? The food was all out of order.took an awfullyyyyy long time as well very tiring and my hunger passed by the time it came.good spot tho
The buffet was so delicious, and the chefs were consistently refilling things. The wait staff was super friendly, and I never saw the bottom of my glass. The atmosphere is like being inside a garden. Definitely coming back!
One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The pakora was light and crispy, the lamb and goat were tender and succulent, all with the best spice blends I've ever tasted. Even though they had a big party in the bar area, the service and food quality didn't suffer at all. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return!
