My husband’s scooter stopped working. I took it directly to Mobility Medical to be repaired. The technician came out and asked how many beeps the scooter was making. I was unaware that the beeps were code for whatever was wrong. I left the scooter there in hopes they could repair it. In the meantime I did a little research on my own and found that it was a pretty simple fix. I called back every day for 4 days in hopes that they had fixed it. Finally, I was told that it could not be fixed. I was told it was old and pretty beat up, which I knew, so I trusted them. I went in to pick it up and to also pick up information on purchasing a new one. After I loaded the scooter into the van I thought I would try the 2 step fix that I read about on line just for shitz and giggles. I repaired the scooter myself in under 1 minute in THEIR parking lot! Needless to say I was furious! I decided I would take it home to make sure that what I had done was indeed a fix. My husband has been driving it ever since! I was furious that he was without his scooter, which he depends on daily, for 4 days and that I was led to believe it was unable to be fixed. I firmly believe they never even looked at it. They saw an old scooter and an opportunity to take advantage of someone and sell a new scooter. Sad, very sad indeed.

BTW.that scooter is still going strong, and that review was made over 3 years ago I believe.

I am very disappointed in Mobility Medical. I had a fold out ramp issue with my van and I had stopped by this store asking for assistance, but was told that I needed to go for repairs where I purchased my van. I explained that I needed someone help getting in and out of the van because the ramp would not fold out. I was told I needed an appointment and I asked if they could have a tech look at my ramp to see what the issue was and the woman said you need an appointment for us to look at your van. I said, "Ok you can make that appointment, but I'm not sure if I would be able to make it if I couldn't get out or get in my van because I live alone". I was told told "sorry but you will need to go where you purchased your van because we will need at least a half hour to check your van out and I don't have anyone available until Friday". I feel as a handicap person confined to a wheelchair and stopping by one of only two handicap repair facilities in Brevard County Florida, that this place could have taken 5 minutes to look at my van. Now I needed to stay at home for two days cancel an appointment for my 89 year old mother who lives with me and drive over 100 miles away to get my van repaired at the dealership I purchased my van from. Needless to say this place is not in business to help the handicap, but it appears they just want to take your money. Very SAD to see.

We bought a wheelchair van from Mobility Medical, I picked it up last Friday. It is perfect for us. My wife's HHA is delighted with the easy method of putting her in the van. Everyone at the store was very helpful. Thank you Steve & Harry. It is the 2nd time that we had business with Mobility Medical & each time they couldn't have been more helpful.

The entire staff is so helpful. We purchased a scooter there and left the store feeling so confident that we made the right choice for our needs and this was not the first business we went too. I highly recommend Mobility Medical Equipment to anyone needing speciality equipment.

We purchased the mobility rack for back of car from these people. They seem professional until you have to call them after the installation.
I brought them a new car with no problems and after their installation I had a Jeep Cherokee that would not go into reverse. After calling them several times and talking to Harry I found that they know nothing beyond installation and collecting their money. They promise to do research and just leave you hanging. They are dealing with disabled people so this is not over.

We purchased a Cricket cart from a dealer near us and needed service. Upon contacting them, we were told they didn’t work on them. A quick call to Medical Mobility Equipment in Melbourne and we had an appointment the next morning. The work was done while waiting - saving us a 5 hour round trip another day to pick up the cart. Everyone at Mobility Medical was so helpful and we are very happy with the Cricket cart and the service we received.

I purchased a Cricket RX-5 in September 2019 from Mobility Medical and the unit required three new chargers and one set of new batteries prior to September 2020 (less than 1 year old)! Mobility Medical Equipment offers a three month warranty on the brand new Cricket golf cart (that should have told me something). In addition, Mobility Medical does not perform repairs on this item; therefore, I was on my own to repair the unit after the three month mark (which is when things started to go wrong).

I did find someone who would work on the Cricket; however, the problems continued. I would estimate the Cricket functioned about 6 months out of the one year I owned it! Based on my experience in purchasing a brand new unit, the Cricket is a low quality product (it is made in China I believe). I do NOT recommend purchase of a Cricket. I would recommend an american made Club Car or EZ GO golf cart instead.much higher quality product.

Just prior to the one year mark/due to all the problems (which were non stop), I sold the Cricket for 1/3 of what I paid for it brand new. In fact, the Cricket was non-operational again when I sold it. Note: I did email Mobility Medical when the problems first began.and they offered advice on how to check the battery charger to determine if it was the problem but did not assist in repairing the unit or assist in finding someone who could help repair the unit.it was obvious from the email correspondence Mobility Medical id not desire to assist in this matter. If you buy a Cricket golf cart from Mobility Medical you will be on your own to repair/service the unit.and with a three month warranty and the low quality I found in the unit.this will definitely happen.

It is a bit apprehensive to buy from someone from another state, however it was a smooth and easy process.

These people know what they are doing and help you to feel at ease with the steps necessary to make it happen.

I would do it again with out a doubt.

We purchased a new Cricket SX3 from Freeman Liquidators, 3983 W. 7th. Street, Joplin, MO 64801 on October 12,2019. We live in Edmond, OK and this Cricket dealer is the closest to our home (211 miles one way) that had an inventory of Crickets.
Upon arriving home with the Cricket, I was able to drive it for about 5 minutes before parking it inside of our garage. The very next day, I drove it across the street to show off my new toy to my neighbor. While standing outside the vehicle, I turned the key on and activated the turn signals just to see what they looked like. The vehicle lurched forward almost running into a retaining wall before I got it stopped.
From that point on, the vehicle will not go forward or backward but the accessories all still function. I contacted Greg Freeman of Freeman Liquidators to explain the problem. I can say nothing but good things about Greg Freeman and his company in Joplin, MO. He put me in touch with Melbourne Cricket located in Melbourne, FL. There, I dealt with two gentlemen, a Scott and a Steve. I believe Steve was the head man of the company. Between the two and with the help of their service men, they diagnosed the problem and sent free of charge the necessary parts to repair my Cricket. It is my understanding that the Cricket warranty only covers parts, not labor. Due to the circumstances, Melbourne Cricket sent me a check to cover all of the repair work. I feel they went above and beyond what they were obligated to do and I would recommend their business to anyone.

I have lived in Melbourne since 1987 but sorry to say that although I have driven by their buildings hundreds of times I never really knew they repaired scooters. I stopped in to ask if they accepted used scoters on consignment. We got to talking and asked what was wrong with mine. I explained when my wife soup;d be driving it, it would stop and we we would hear beeps. They asked for me to count the beeps as it was likely repairable. We were able to determine it was consistently 7 beeps. I brought it in on a Monday. They called and said they were not able to run the testing on it as the batteries indicated bad. I thought it strange as the batteries were less than a year old (purchased from a different mobility store. They advised that they might have to replace the throttle and speed pot. I did the math and thought it would cost me between $400 ands $500. I again gave permission to replace the two components if that what was needed. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from Jackie the following day. She advised my batteries were fine. They gave a "bad" reading because they were heavily corroded. (Pride Go-go scooter purchased in 2006). Once they were able to test the throttle pot and speed pot they checked out fine. Said they could replace them but did not think it necessary. Suggested try it without replacing as they were confident this would;d fix the problem. Bottom line. $93 to replace scooter that has been beeping for about 4 years. Can't say enough about Jackie.kept me advised of process every step of the way. Ultra professional, competent, and just someone you would always want to deal with. Tai was the technician. After I had loaded up the scooter and was starting to leave, he came running out of the shop. Just wanted to make sure I did not have any additional questions. Again, could not have been m ore pleasant. My basket has seen better days so I went back in to see if they sold baskets they did not have my model but Jackie said thy could probably figure something out. Impressed? Off the charts.kWill I be back? You bet.
