Donut Shop Mochibae reviews
18We found this place through an app called Too Good To Go. I had always wanted to try mochi doughnuts and finally had an opportunity. Mochibae doughnuts are delicious. They're very fluffy and tasted better than I expected. The service was awesome, very friendly and personable. The shop is adorable, very colorful and eye appealing. I'd definitely go back for more flavors.
Nice place hidden away behind coldstone. Its 3 connected restaurants and the owner is very friendly and kind to anyone who comes in. I'm a repeat customer here and try to bring my friends as well. The donuts are quite good, as well as the corn dogs.
Even though it’s towards the back of the plaza definitely a must try different Korean donut options. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
We had the Hibachi, Korean hot dogs, and the funnel cake mochi donut and everything was delicious. Bao is the owner and he was there to explain everything on the the menu. The customer service was great. We will definitely be coming back!
I recently visited Mochibae Korean hot dog restaurant and tried a variety of their offerings, including the Half and Half Hot Diggity Dog, the Mozzarella with crispy ramen, and their Mochie donut. The experience was fun, and the flavors were good, but I did notice a lingering aftertaste from the oil they were fried in. The restaurant was clean and had a pleasant vibe, making it an enjoyable place to dine. Despite the slight aftertaste, I would definitely consider coming back for more of their unique and tasty treats.
Donuts that taste as good as they look. Super nice staff and amazing donuts. I'm super stoked they opened a mochi donut spot in East Orlando and am looking forward to going again!:)
I tried their Korean hot dogs and donuts both was so good! Def check out this spot if near the UCF area!
I went there on my birthday 8-15, and they are so nice! The donuts I got were pandan, ube, and matcha. I recommend those flavors.
Donuts were delicious!
The donuts were super dense, definitely not your traditional mochi donut. Even the corn didn't taste like your authentic Korean corndogs.
I finally got to try this place after missing it the first time I was in Orlando. It was also my first mochi donut and oh my god they were amazing. The cookies and cream mochi donut is definitely my recommendation.
Such a cute place! It’s connected to 2 other restaurants giving you more variety in foods and desserts!
Definitely a place to take friends and hangout.
The mural is beautiful and the donuts are amazing!
Try the ube donut at mochibae and get the mango matcha at happy lemon!
Donuts were kinda oily and frosting flavors were there but a little too sweet in my opinion. Prices are fair, though.
I was very satisfied. Very cute and Pleasant surroundings. Fresh and delicious donuts.
I would definitely go back again
Staff are very nice, donuts are, the donuts are more dense than the ones I had in Hawaii. These types are donuts I’ve only had in Hawaii so it’s what brought me to this place, however although they’re a bit thicker it’s still super good. The Hotdogs so good. Did the half and half. Wish the cheese was wrapped around the hotdog but it’s okay. Loved that the hotdog is fully beef
AMAZING PLACE! The layout of the building is so cool and is connected to other cafes and restaurants for super easy access. Fresh doughnuts and amazing Korean corn dogs, short wait time and very kind staff. 10/10, will be visiting again.
Top tier Mochi Donuts!
It is a little hard to find at first, when you see Happy Lemon drive to the right hand side down the one way and Mochibae is to your left hand side.
When I first walked in I was greeted by the gentleman working at the register. Everything was extremely clean and very well laid out. The menus were displayed above the donuts. When we arrived there were 6 flavor options, Barbie, Oreo, ube with fruity pebbles, cinnamon, churro and s’more. My favorite was the ube fruity pebbles. My friend got the Korean hot dog with everything and he really liked it. He totally recommends it if you’ve never had a Korean hot dog.
The aesthetic is A+ I loved how clean and well laid out the space is. What makes it even better is that you can walk to happily lemon (tea and boba place) and their poke bar (hasn’t opened yet). I love the concept of having 3 restaurants connected. Start at happy lemon for appetizers/drinks, walk over to the poke place for your meal and then end with mochibae.
Kudos to the owner, this seems like a great concept and I definitely think this is going to be one of the best hangout places in the UCF area and is easily in my top restaurants/cafe’s to visit.
Not sure if we came on a bad day or something (went a week after their opening day) but the donuts were EXTREMELY oily.there was no discernible taste other than oil and the decoration/glazing was so sloppy.was not worth it
Mochibae is a mochi donut and korean hot dog shop. I was so excited for this and finally it's here! The interior decorations are cute! The walls are vibrant and filled with a cute mural of a lucky cat and korean hot dogs! They have a good amount of seats. And its connected to Happy Lemon and Kasai and Koori. It's a great place to visit with friends. Grab a boba while having some korean hot dogs. My idea of a perfect day!
Mochi Donut Strawberry and Ube flavor - both were equally good. Has this slight chewiness from the rice flour. I think mochi donuts are the better versions of the regular donut because it doesn't taste as dry and has a better texture.
Korean Hot Dog - these were also good. Big portions. I do recommend getting the cheddar cheese sauce! So good. It's not on the menu but you can ask for sugar which goes really well with it too. Just makes it have more depth of flavors. Sweet and salty. They should definitely add it to the menu. I do think it could use more potato. But that's just a personal preference.
Overall, I highly recommend the place. The staff and owner are very friendly and nice. Great place to hangout and chill with friends.
