Mofongo House Restaurant reviews
9Food is good I can't say about the service cuz it's a small place but they don't keep the same waitress but if you want some good mofongo which is Master contains with garlic and whatever meat you desire good place to go if you're in the Pembroke pines Hollywood area over by Perry airport have a good meal some Dominican culture I really wouldn't say I recommend it but I would eat there again if I desire that type of food and I'm in the area
Very good mofongo with pork. The masitas was delicious. The steak as well was very tasty. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that stop you as the food is worth the visit.
Hidden hole in the wall gem!
One Saturday morning, I didn’t feel like cooking breakfast but wanted something different than your typically eggs, bacon and biscuit. So I hopped on my trusty Yelp app and got to searching. I came across this restaurant and knew I had to have it. By the time I found it, it was after their serving time of breakfast (11: 30) but I called anyway and without hesitation she took my order.
Since I don’t live too far, my order wasn’t ready when I got there. So I had to wait a bit. I ended up adding a cafe con ledge to the order. However it wasn’t an authentic cafe con leche at all. My food however was delicious. The mangu was delicious. My only complaint is that I should have asked for more pickled onions on top. They serving of mangu was huge. I literally ate off of it the whole day. With my order I also got an omelet that I should’ve asked for without cheese. Not much of a cheese and simply just overlooked that small detail but I know for next time.
Service was great. Both ladies that were present, were nice and accommodating.
I will most certainly be back.
I got the grilled chicken with fried plantains and it was so delicious! It’s very cozy inside and nice atmosphere. I would definitely come
Back to try more
Great food! We ordered the picadera for two, easily for 3 ppl. It brought a little bit of everything which was perfect. Tostones, queso frito, salami (salchichon), Masita de pollo, carne frita, longaniza. It was nice and hot, and absolutely delicious!
Food was delicious as always, but music was way to loud. Could make a suggestion trying to separate the croud ppl in the counter front the ppl trying enjoyed eat a family meal at the table.
First time here and definitely coming back the chicken was delicious the addition of the carrots and broccoli was amazing i was just craving some veggies on side and boom definitely will come back
Food was ok, nothing amazing. Mofongo was a bit dry and the chicharrón in it wasn’t edible. The fried chuletas and pork chunks were tasty and had good seasoning. Portions are big and good the the money. The shrimp in red sausage was good but wouldn’t order it again. Overall it was decent I will try something different next time.
Love the place, food is fantastic. Just a suggestion.
Prices are a bit high and the place could be a little lighter. Other than that is very, very good food.
